We chose the Rose-Lovell House for a family reunion, and it was just perfect! The house and furnishings are lovely and so comfortable, especially the two big porches! We could sit on the rocking chairs and talk for hours! We had plenty of room for our extended family (4 couples and several kids) and everyone had their "own space". The ferry ride to Cumberland Island was a big hit, and the island itself is as natural and beautiful as we had heard. Loved seeing the horses on the beach! Sterlings Cafe was a great place for our family dinner (supper?), but we also loved taking turns cooking at the house. The kitchen is very well equipped. We hope to return next year for some kayaking!

"Great house, great friends, and great food! What a relaxing weekend! St. Mary's and Cumberland were fun to explore. Rose Lovell is a treasure and reminds us of our own home. The hospitality was fantastic."

"What a great place to celebrate our 50th anniversary. The second oldest city in the country and this beautiful 100 year old home, the Rose Lovell House.
It was wonderful having our family together here for our 50th. Our dinner at Sterlings was delicious. (Thanks for the tip Sandie. In fact we ate there several times.)
We really love your house and hope to get back again. The Barrie's have done a fantastic job!"

"What a treasure! When we drove up to this wonderful house, I was thrilled because it's what I always wanted to live in and it lived up to all my expectations. The bead board ceilings, the gorgeous hardwood floors, the fireplaces and the wonderful porch across the front. I hope we can share this experience some day with our family so we plan to return."

"We are here to celebrate our dear parents 50th anniversary. Staying at the Rose Lovell House touched our hearts in a couple of ways. The history of the house and what it represents echoed the history of our parents. We are fortunate to be born into a wonderful family and Rose Lovell is a wonderful house. We thank you for the opportunity to stay here. The beds slept wonderfully and the house is a treasure."

"What a marvelous time in a newly discovered place, thanks to the Barrie's. All of St. Marys was new to me and I was delighted with the town, its restaurants & friendly people, and most of all, with the gracious Rose Lovell House! I felt I could happily move in for months, spending my days exploring and my nights reading in the comfortable rooms here."
"The Cumberland National Seashore is a real treasure, but be sure to wear comfortable clothes & shoes . . . and use extra sunscreen! It's the best national park I've experienced even in 100 degree temperatures. I'd love to see the marine forest in autumn. Well, this has been a treat in more ways than one, so best wishes to the proprietors and all future visitors lucky enough to stay here!"
