| Our visit to George and Paulines beach house exceded expectations. One of first things I noticed was, of course, the perfect view of Lake Superior with Canada far across the water, next the beach hourse was so clean and well stocked. I could go on and I will. The decor of the house is cute, the kitchen is well stocked and the deck is great for reading and dining. I think the best was the clean forever beach. Leo, my golden, met two golden labs and became friends. We walked forever. The water is so clear and refreshing(cold) and Leo loved lapping it up on long walks and swimming when he pleased. Mike and I enjoyed the friendly casino(Bay something), it had lots of slots and great table games. We left some of our money there for future guests, but not on purpose. Ok here is the greatest part, George and Pauline are adorable, friendly and perfect hosts. Thank you for that one thing, kindness. We will return |

We can't say enough great things about this place or the people that own it!!! They have thought of everything that you could possibly want or need. right down to beach shoes in the closet, a baby gate, games, serving dishes, a fan, a bench with a view, Great Steak seasoning, and a book filled with places to go, things to see plus maps! After 26 years of marriage, this was by far the most relaxing and enjoyable trip we have ever taken. We knew the first day that we were there that we were scheduling our week for next year. Thank you again George & Pauline, you are great people. The sincere conversation, good beer & veggies, and the best pickles I'v ever tasted in my life (with recipe) will have to hold us over until next year! |

| If you are in love with Lake Superior and privacy, this is most definitely the perfect place to stay. If you've never visited the area, this is the perfect place to stay. The view is magnificent, the hosts genial, offering ammenities you will never find in a motel, and the surrounds offer many diversions. I can't wait to get back! |

Homeowner Response:
Sue, I am so glad you enjoyed your stay. Want you to know I still have your special pillow, pillow case, and doggie bowl you left behind. Would love to have you stay again. Remember, we are open yearround and should you choose a winter stay, the landscape will be totally different with some beautiful seascapes of frozen Lake Superior waves viewable from our warm and toasty well insulated cabin's picture window. George and I look forward to your next visit with Austin. He was so good!

We needed to get away from the kids, the house, and the everyday hohum. we started our journey together and found this lovely cabin on the beach. Yes, this is what we needed. Kalian hunted rocks on the beach and Jill st on the porch reading a great book and listening to the waves surrounded by a great fire in the fire pit. What more could you ask for? Homemade zuccini bread perfect with hot coffee and a sunset on Lake Superior. Thanks--we will return some day.
Jill and Kalian returned Sept.29 to Oct. 02,2006 to their heavenly spot and left us this poem:
High on the Point
I met a man his name was Goetz His gasthof icht zer gud zer gets Und schnitzbrot from Fraulein Pauline Und rocks and waves are so serene.
You don't need booze to get a high Hear waves a-breaking, take in the sky Take time to ponder a passing ship Troubles and worries away they slip.
Squads of ducks chase schools of fish Colorful stones; ist wunderbar-ish Evening beachsitting by a fire God and Nature higher and higher.
Thank you Killian & Jill for the wonderful evening by the fire and the fantastic homemade blackberry wine you shared as well as the poem, tomatoes, Saline corn-on-the-cob, and squash. You forever will be known to us as the Tomato Lady! It was a night by the fire we will long remember as well.
Good luck in your new career, Jill.
Hope to see you both again.
