| WHAT A VIEW! After 10 trips to Maui, I have now found the PERFECT location. This is direct oceanfront property, no obstructions. The wonderful thing about this unit is that the kitchen, dining area, living room and master bedroom ALL are ocean view. The master bedroom has sliding glass doors to the lanai, looking out onto the ocean. The only sounds at night were the wind and the waves! The area is very quiet (dead end street) and so the back bedroom was very quiet as well. The fact that there is only one other condo beyond this one meant no 'people' traffic either! The elevator is in a seperate 'tower' so no elevator noise. The parking lot always had space, and always parking available on the street for extra vehicles. There is swimming and snorkling right out front. The sea turtles were everywhere! Altho there is no sandy beach out front (seawall stair easy access to the water), just a very short walk down the quiet street is a park and the beginning of miles long sandy Sugar Beach. Maalaea is home to the Maui Ocean Center, Maui Mini Golf and Sports park (2 mini golf courses/bumper boats/rock climbing, canteen, etc) and is a wonderful place to wonder and shop in the small shopping area (restaurants/deli/ice cream store, shopping, etc)...all within about a 5 minute walk. The harbour is about 5 minutes away too.. far enough that you don't have the harbour traffic noises but close enough to stroll and look at the boats .. or walk over for you whale/dolphin watch or snorkle trip! The Owner and Property Managers were excellent to deal with. We loved this location and will definitely be back. Sunrise over Haleakala, midway location between Lahaina and Kihei, quick trip to Kahului Costco/Airport....and THE VIEWS ARE AMAZING! |
