Woodside is the perfect place to stay. So easy to get around using the Subway and buses. The apartment is fab, very clean, tidy and lots of room for us 5 adults. We felt very safe when walking about during the day or night. We used a few of the takeaways which were all very good. Being on our hols and very lazy we even had breakfast delivered from the bagel shop!!! They were just too go not to have. We would highly recommend Grace and Tony's apartment and will be back to stay again. Thanks again for making our holiday more than just ok.

We very much enjoyed our time in Unit D and adjoining suite. Accomodation was perfect for our group of seven. We enjoyed the extra spaciousness, the big beds and the large modern living -room/ kitchen set-up was just the ticket for our clan. Woodside neigherborhood was delightful : markets with good and cheap produce, butchers, bakeshops and pubs...and an amazing variety of peoples and goods. La Flor restaurant was bohemian and delightful. Food was excellent (I recommend the lamb shank). Bakery too. Had time for beer and lunch at Saint & Sinners and Donovan's. First rate. The easy access to the No. 7 subway from 61st or 52nd was perfect and we always felt comfortable and 'at home' coming back to Woodside and 56th. Even the roar of the L train seemed charming....tho maybe not forever...nice neighborhood. And Super Mike really was super. I commend Grace & Tony's effort here and recommend Woodside townhomes; far and away a better deal than a hotel room and ideal for larger groups. We hope to come again. Thanks NYC - and Woodside, BOQ.

This accommodation is highly recommended. If you thought you couldn't afford to rent space and comfort this close to the Big Apple think again!
Our family consists of myself, wife Helen and our 3 boys aged 15, 14 and 10 and we've just returned from a fantastic week in New York staying in one of Grace and Tony's apartments (although apartment doesn't really do it justice!).
Our accommodation (apartment C) comprised of a huge loft style beautifully furnished modern lounge/kitchen/diner, a family bathroom, 2 bedrooms with king and queen size beds respectively and a third en-suite room with 2 large double beds. The lounge had a TV and DVD player and the kitchen was complete with a full range cooker, fridge freezer and dishwasher. We didn't need laundry equipment but there was a washer and dryer in the garage had we wanted them!
Everything was spotlessly clean and well maintained and everything worked!
Communication via email was excellent and every message we sent was responded to immediately. Grace and Tony made sure we had all the information we needed to get the most out of our holiday.
The apartment is is Woodside (a district of Queens with plenty of shops and restaurants) and is easy to reach. Upon arrival at JFK you simply follow the signs to the Airtrain which takes you to Jamaica station. from there you can either take the Subway (1 change required - there are elevators to assist with cases etc) or the Long Island Rail Road (LIRR) - both take you to Woodside station. From Woodside it's literally a 5 minute walk to the apartment.
I'd advise buying an MTA Metrocard to get in and out of the city. The Subway is clean, fast and feels very safe (even when travelling in the evening) and it's good fun working out the various ways to get around the city by hopping on and off here and there. A 7 day adult ticket cost just 24 dollars and gives access to every Subway line and all the New York buses too. If you take the 7 train from 61st St, Woodside it's 15 - 20 minutes to Times Square.
We also bought the New York Pass from attraction-tickets-direct.co.uk - it gives free entry to most of the cities main attractions and discounts off shopping and dining (we ate at Planet Hollywood most days and saved 40 dollars off each bill with our youngest eating for free!)
If you want all the excitement and sightseeing that New York has to offer followed by a private oasis away from all the hustle and bustle to unwind at the end of each day this is the place for you. |

This was our first time using a VRBO, and our first trip to New York. Grace made us feel very comfortable about our vacation before we even left our home. She was quick to reply to emails, and had great information about the rental unit. Hopefully everyone on VRBO is as professional and accomodating as Grace and Tony - they were fantastic! The directions that Grace provided to get from either airport were excellent ($40 including tip from JFK), and we were greeted by Tony and Mike "the Super". The room was great, lots of beds and clean towels. There was an info package that was made by Grace and Tony on the table that was invaluable to us for our visit. Lots of local restaurants, directions for dummies to get into manhattan, info about shopping - (wish my wife hadnt seen that part!) - lots of great info. We got to use both units, the main and the studio. There was more than enough room for the two of us (the main had 3 queen beds and a chaise)with everything we needed in the cupboards (including coffee!. The studio was just as good - 2 more queen beds and plenty of room. We felt EXTREMELY safe in this neighborhood - walking home from the subway after 10pm with no concerns! All in all - this was our first visit to NY, but we expect to be here many more times. We would like to try other vacation properties, but we will likely choose this one when we stay in New York because this experience was so good. Thanks again Grace, Tony and "super Mike!"

| Our stay in the townhouse was exceptional! Tony and Grace are wonderful hosts! Tony checked in with us daily to see if we needed anything and to help us find our way around town. "Super Mike" was there if we needed anything to make our stay more comfortable. The townhouse is very clean and comfortable and we would definitely stay here again if traveling to NYC. The train/subway was near by and easy to use. The neighborhood is clean and we felt very safe at all times. There are many nice restaurants within walking distance and we also shopped at local groceries and cooked meals in the townhouse. Thank you very much for making this an awesome vacation!! Hope to see you again sometime!! Cory, Cher, Deb, Terry, Reene and Sharie |

| we had the most fantastic time in NYC and the apartment was brilliant. all the family loved Woodside - it is such a lovely mix of all sorts. we felt so safe as we walked around the place. the restaurants were wonderful - we ate in four different places in woodside and all of them provided excellent service and food. however, it was the great apartment that really made the difference and we cannot praise enough the incredible help and service that Grace and Tony provided. we would love to go back and stop there again and we will give it a huge recommendation to our friends. to Grace and Tony - Cheers! |

| Exceaded all our expectations. Was closer to everything than we had thought (via.. subways) wich are very user friendly to those who have not used them before. Very close to the best restaraunt I have ever ate at , a diamond in the rough very much how I would describe this place. Very clean and well maintained would highly recomend this place. we will be going back as much as possible. Fell in love with the place, and maid some new friends for life. |

"We travel around the world quite a bit but this was our first ever visit to New York and we had planned to stay to the centre like most people then while looking for hotels we came across this gem in woodside - great transport links 5 minute walk to woodside station for train or subway. 15 minutes from JFK by car and the airtrain goes from the station. if you want a true feeling of NYC, its people and suburbs this place is great. always felt safe anytime of day. the property was exactly as described we all really enjoyed ourselves, its comfortable, large and roomy, clean well equipped and has plenty of information. the owners are real friendly provide you with all the information on the area that you need - great resturants etc and they are there if you need them but never pester you - i love that bit! it has character and we will definatly return, like a home from home Thanks Grace and Tony you made a great visit better - next time we'll take up that Bronx visit :) you wont be dissapointed" |
