| We stayed at this condo in January 2008. The location of the Maui Banyan and the condo itself are very convenient. The condo is well equipped and comfortable. We enjoyed our time here and would stay here again. |

| To potential renters of VBRO #1049: We stayed from 4/18 thru 4/28/07, and we were delighted with this condo. The descriptions provided on the website by the owner were quite accurate in every respect, i.e. exactly as advertised. Kihei is a really nice area. The location of the condo complex (Maui Banyan) as well as the location of the condo in the complex and with regard to proximity to the beach, pool, shops and dinning is just perfect. The condo was very comfortable and was very well equipped. We cannot imagine a better bargain on Maui. We would certainly rent this condo again |

| We stayed at this unit December 2005. The locations is wonderful. You can park your car and walk to lots of area attractions. The beach is the best here. We spent many, many hours at the beach. Getting up early, and snorkeling there, then again, bringing the beach chairs down at the end of the day to watch the beautiful sunset. Since this was our 4th trip to Maui, we had already done the tourist things, and just needed to get the beach time in, and this was perfect. This place is quiet, very very quiet. In 2006, we again visited Maui, and stayed at the complex you see as you look out the sliding glass windows.... well, it was very noisy. We didn't sleep well at all. We missed the quietness of this condo, and regretted our decision to not book it. This condo does face the parking lot, but you do have a ocean view. Tho, I would recommend you watch the sunsets at the beach, no matter where you stay in Maui. |

We had a great time in Maui! This unit was comfortable, clean and convenient. It's access to the beach and more can't be beat. Kam 2 is right across the street and Kam 3 is a short walk to the left. There is shopping within walking distance to fill basic needs and buy souvineers. Other shopping will require a car and you will want to explore the island. The Banyan is about 10 years old, but our unit has been kept up nicely. Though it seems a bit busier than we remember we love Kihei - it has the best sun, snorkeling and simplicity. We plan to return as soon as we can! |

Guest Comment Entered By Homeowner:
I have vacationed in South Kihei for the past 15 years, staying either at a condo in South Kihei or at a resort in Wailea. I fell in love with South Maui and my dream was to own a condo there. I decided I liked the small town convenience of Kihei. It is accessible to a health food, grocery stores, a movie theatre, many restaurants, shopping, golf, the boat launch ramp for all the local water and other island tours and activities, beaches for surfing, snorkeling, scuba diving and the list goes on. And all I have to do is walk across Kihei Road to these amazing beaches or to the boat ramp or to shops and restaurants. I chose to buy at the Maui Banyan because it is the most convenient place I have stayed on the Island. I chose to buy at the Maui Banyan because it is a concrete building. Concrete stays a little cooler on those hot days but most importantly for me it is very quiet. I have never heard my neighbors and that is wonderful when staying in a condo/hotel situation. Although the complex is considered a smaller property it has two - pool/ hot tub/BBQ areas so it never feels crowded like some larger properties that only offer one pool area. Our condo is in the only building with an elevator, so we have the great view from the fourth floor but don't have to hike up steps to appreciate it. But of course my favorite part of our condo is being able to sit on the couch and see the ocean. Previously I had usually stayed in garden view units and thought that was just fine. BUT once I experienced the beauty of the sunset and the afternoon sun shining on the water...I realize staying in a condo with a view of the water adds so much to the Maui experience. Our building is not directly facing the water (hence no blazing afternoon sun overheating the condo) but turned just right so the ocean can be seen from the lanai, while sitting on the living room couch and through the sliding glass doors of the living room and bed room. The two bathrooms, fully equipped kitchen and washer and dryer are also wonderful conveniences not available at the resorts I had stayed at. Convenience and a condo (see pictures) that is filled love and beauty has become my dream come true and I would like to share it all with you.

The condo is perfect for us and the view is nice. You're so close to everything and across the street is one of the best beaches on the island; great for boogey-boarding. There are wonderful restaurants in Kihei and great shopping. My favorite place to shop for souvenirs is Kalama Village a few blocks going west on the right. Great prices and beautiful jewelry. Check it out! Don't forget to eat at Lulu's too, a fun place.
