We have rented cabins at Tahoe during the winter for the last six years, and the Alpenrose is our favorite so far. It is so cozy; the heat just radiates from the spiral staircase, and the owners spare no expense on the bedding.
The location is perfect; we were skiing at Homewood five minutes after breakfast! The neighborhood is safe enough to allow kids to roam. I walked down to the creek - didn't want to leave. The owners are very gracious.

| We loved the Alpenrose! This was our first visit to Lake Tahoe with our daughter and dog. The Bernese Mt. Dog was in cold heaven and the teenager gave it two thumbs up! We especially enjoyed the warmth of the cabin after really cold dog walks to the creek. We'll be back when the snow flies! The cabin's location is fantastic and we had a wonderfully relaxing visit in what felt like our home away from home. We really appreciated the friendliness and accomodating nature of the owner. We can't wait |

| Our weekend in this nicely appointed, spotless, and spacious cabin was great! After a long hike, we relaxed in front of an inviting fire at this "home away from home." Owner is quite friendly and accomodating --- we'll definitely be back. |

| We had a ladies weekend away (5 girlfriends from high school now in our 40s) and it was a peaceful, comfortable, cozy place to reconnect. Even though it was chilly outside (mid-October), we were quite toasty inside - great flannel sheets! We appreciate the pet-friendly policy -- our fearless guard dog was delighted to join us. Nice park and hiking close by as well as great access to Tahoe City shopping and restaurants. Very accomodating owner. |

| We LOVE this cabin! Great location on the wonderful West Shore. We have rented it twice and will be back again. Great for kids-walk to creek to catch tadpoles in Summer. Very positive experience. Owner is very friendly and responsive. |
