In March of 2007 we spent a thoroughly enjoyable week at Sea Feather. The setting is perfect-quiet, private, and right on the water. One of the daily joys was sitting out back near the water with a cup of coffee watching the sun begin its journey up from beneath the water into the ever blue sky. Sunsets viewed from the same location were no less spectacular.
The house was perfect, and the pictures on the owner's web site do not convey the spaciousness of the great room, master suite or the fantastic screened porch where we ate all of our "at home" meals and lazed away the hottest part of th day immersed in a good book. The house was fully equipped with all of the conveniences we needed or wanted and the appointments were first rate. The location was convenient to the airport (although we were never aware of air traffic) and near enjoyable dining at Aunt Sha's and Brac Reef.
We particularly enjoyed our long walks on the ironshore at the water's edge down to the boat ramp where we'd cool off with a refreshing swim before wandering back to the back yard where we'd sit under the palm thatched gazebo and listen to the soothing sound of the waves and the cries of the birds.
Sea Feather is a perfect spot for a totally relaxing vacation. No crowds, no noise, no stress, no need left unmet. We have rented villas on a nuymber of islands throughout the Caribbean and this was, by far, our favorite and we highly recommend it. |

| Sea Feather on Cayman Brac is the perfect antidote to the over-programmed resort vacation. Enjoy the peaceful quiet and easy island pace in a totally modern and comfortable house that will immediately become your home. I'm not a diver, but I love to snorkel, and there are dozens of great locations -- including right off the beach in front of the house -- where I have spent hours exploring and enjoying the underwater sights. The most difficult part of my vacations there has been leaving. (And do yourself a favor; try Barry's jerk chicken early in your stay, so you have time to get it again before you leave.) |
