Review: We absolutely loved this house! Wonderful bedrooms, a great, first-class kitchen for cooking, sweeping views from every room - all set in the heart of the most beautiful medieval village in the Perigord Noir. The owners are fantastic - funny, warm and very accommodating with any questions you may have. Suggestions for things to do very close by: The Sunday market at St. Cyprien, visiting prehistoric caves near Les Eyzies, canoeing from Cenac to Beynac, visiting the amazing Chateau de Beynac, dinner in Sarlat...

Just to let you know that we arrived home back in the States safely -- and still happily thinking about our stay in Beynac and L'ancienne Poste. It was absolutely wonderful. We enjoyed the great views ("to die for" is an understatement) plus all the history and of course the charming small village flavor. We loved it and thank you so much for sharing it with us. Thanks again for a wonderful stay at L'ancienne Poste last week. We all had a great time in your beautiful house, and the views and Beynac really did live up to expectations.
We visited Castelnaud and Sarlat, ate at the good restaurant in the village, got through rather a lot of duck and goose products, and had some great meals outside watching the balloons at sunset. And chilled out a lot by the pool, of course.
The house was beautifully decorated, we loved the range in the kitchen and the great bathroom fittings, and appreciated the new towels and having the UK TV channels.
