We rented this fantastic house for 2 weeks in June for a family reunion. I want to thank the family for allowing us to enjoy this special place. The experience begins as soon as you walk in the door. The grandkids almost knocked me down getting in to see what was there. There are no words to describe the view that awaits you as you walk in to the living area. The grandkids loved having their own place upstairs and soon discovered all the games, books, and toys that are stashed in the closet. It was wonderful having the beach. The grandkids spent lots of time there. We took them to a local playground one day (which is usually their favorite thing), but we weren’t there very long until they wanted to go back to the house.
We had family staying about a half mile away with an RV. We would all get together for dinner. We really liked the fact that we could get everyone at the table at one time. There were 14 of us. We were not only all together but had a magnificent view. This is one vacation that everyone will remember as one of the best! Everyone is still talking about it. I wish I could upload a picture for you. The last evening we were there the sunset was just breathtaking. The fires were burning in Northern California and so the sun was red. This house is about the best place to watch a sunset as you can get. If you are thinking about renting this property, put your mind at rest. Everything you need is there.

There are few profound experiences in life that you know, the minute you partake you are apart of a magical encounter. Standing on the deck at Pelican Path, is one of those memories.The OCEAN VIEW literally takes your breath away!!
Pelican Path is the "REAL OCEAN VIEW", a photographers dream, a romantics ultimate destination, and for anyone,who seeks a beautiful oceanfront home, sitting on the most gorgeous piece of land on the entire Oregon coast..( I know, I have lived here all of my life )Pelican Path is where you want to be. We love this place and have booked it far in advance to ensure as many memories as possible. I hesitated to share what an amazing time we had at Pelican Path, what an amazing home and REAL OCEAN FRONT VIEW this place has...how we never wanted to leave...and didn't. I was hoping Pelican Path could be the best kept secret!!! But then again...what goes around comes around and This place needs to be shared.
We loved the amazing full length windows where you felt like you could touch the ocean. The fully stocked kitchen, the water pressure in the showers is excellent, and the decor is perfect. We will never stop talking about the ocean view, nothing we have seen compares.
This place is such a gift, I want to thank the owners for sharing. We can't wait to come back!!

Although we have rented our family home for several years, I finally was encouraged to setup an on line guestbook for everyone's referral just this summer. I think it is a wonderful idea for our guests and us to share our experiences while visiting the house. So, please feel free to share your thoughts and comments. Specicfically I just want to let everyone know that I think the ocean view at our house is almost overwhelming given the size and number of ocean facing windows. We rarely go out to dinner as there is almost no restaurant in Brookings with a better ocean view! The proximity to the beach ensures guests a truly wonderful Oregon coastal experience.
