This was my first time in Cali and I loved it! This house is a dream house. I enjoyed seeing the ocean for the first time. I would have to say, Jody, you have made this a wonderful experience. I have got to know you personally through my first experience when I was hospitalized in March and through speaking to you off/on... We were honored Matt and I to be able to not only get married here on the beach but to stay in this dream home. The house alone was everything I expected through pix and MUCH MORE. I know our son loved it. Sometimes he had a hard time finding who he was looking for out of our group, but so did I have trouble finding him... There were five or so in our group who had never seen the ocean so for them it was a lifetime experience they will never forget. Including our four yr old son. He even got to jump the waves. Boy oh boy that was unforgetable... People's expressions were more than enough to make this all worth while. The couch was absolutely cozy...I know that anyone who layed down for a minute...fell asleep fast. The master bed was like floating on a cloud. No kinked necks or sore backs. Thanks for your hospitality.

What a beautiful home away from home! We all had a great time! It was nice having the formation book - we took the Coaster down to San Diego and back - what fun! It's such a great location; you can walk to a lot of places. Also the Farmer's Market on Thursday was great - lots of fun things!
Incredible memories for all of us - took pictures on the beach (our version of Eileen Fisher's ad). I couldn't ask for a better time celebrating a birthday and recharging! Can't wait to come back with our families!

The sun was descending as we journeyed out for a wonderful dinner at Vigilucci's. It was a delicious meal (veal, calamari, risotto, pasta, etc.)made even more delightful by the constant laughter and stories we shared.
And just as the last golden rays of the western sun said good-bye to the twilight dusk, so too, we felt all of our cares and concerns melt off of our shoulders and disappear over the horizen and into the sunset.
Everyday we stayed here in your island-themed retreat brought new adventures. Biking on "The Strand," body surfing, boogie boarding, sand castle building, pier walking, star-gazing, BBQ'ing, fire-pitting...WONDERFUL!!!
And so I don't overlook the obvious...your home-away-from-home is amazing!! Five Stars+!!! The decor, the accents, the accommodations...WOW!!!
We spent the mornings sipping coffee & tea on the front patio watching the hummingbirds & butterflies frolic around the fountain as the sun rose. Breakfast founnd us either on the top (lido :)) deck...or out on the pier with our home-made breakfast burritos wrapped in foil...yummy!
Sunsets found us flying kites, surfing waves, and watching dolphins dance along the crescent shapped crests of the waves.
Fire pits at the pier and also along the harbor were great, but we thoroughly enjoyed the top deck fire pit for a cozy ending to some wonderful days.
We spent a day driving down to Del Mar, and then meandered along the coast. The Charthouse and the Beach House restaurants are right on the water.
Another day we rode bikes over to the harbor and walked out on the jetty. Starfish (multi-colored) were plentiful and the sea breeze refreshing.
Your home was just what the doctor ordered...to remove stress and recharge the batteries. Thank you! Thank you!! Thank you!!!

We also stayed with the above family as a Christmas getaway with extended family. Although we spent alot of time at theme parks, we always looked forward to coming "home." The details, decorations and effort put into this home is spectacular nad there was not one thing that was missed. John & Jody, You have a wonderful place here. I wish I had made an investment in Oceanside when I first came in 1981. My daughter Jessica (15 yrs old) asked "Why can't I buy a place here how?" I've just told her I guess we'll just have to count on Jody & John's place to be available when we return...because we certainly will return! Debby and I had a wonderful experience with our blended family and relatives with nine of us enjoying every inch of this house and the beach finishing our stay off with a family dinner at Northe's. I racked my brain trying to think of something that could be improved...nothing! It was all so perfect. We did leave ponchos for those visitors that plan to go to Sea World and sit in the "soak zone" as we did. No need to them to spend the $6! As your famous govenor use to say, WE'LL BE BACK!

We really enjoyed our stay here. The house is lovely. We relaxed every night on the BIG, COMFORTABLE couch in front of the HDTV. Love the long parts of that couch that allow us to stretch out facing the TV! It was so comfortable that my niece fell asleep there watching TV and slept through the night.
The little amenities were an added pleasure; detergent, kleenex, etc. So helpful not to run out and buy everything I forgot!
My grown son and I played several games of pool every morning before his wife & baby got up. Was a blast.
We invited friends over from the LA area for dinner & they fell in love with the house.
We loved our stay & the house.

Eight friends from High School/College come together for a reunion of good times & good memories. Although the weather was chillier than us Michiganders expected for Southern California, we still enjoyed playing volleyball & riding the waves (thanks for the body boards). We are departing after a most wonderful week in Oceanside in this very elegant beautiful home. It truly was delightful stay in every regard. We were all most comfortable & really enjoyed media room with big screen TV & enjoyed the fireplace in evenings to take the chill out of air. We will be back & will tell all our friends where to come to vacation.
