| What a place! Having an 18month old with us we were tied to our accommodation with early bed times and naps etc. We couldn't have chosen better! The Balconey is amazing and offers you great opportunities to spot wildlife. We spotted lobsters everyday returning to the shallows at about 4pm, monitor lizards hang in the trees and all sorts of birds from vulcher to and pelicans to hummingbirds. The bed in the main room is the biggest i have EVER seen and the staff very welcoming. |

| Cool site and a nice place to find the hidden treasures of Roatan. Thanks for the info. I am an avid Scuba Diver and when diving in Roatan, I like to look for hideaway places. |

| Comment Text: January 22, 2005 - February 5, 2005. We had a fabulous time in Roatan! Jeff's Place was exceptional. It is in a great location...just a ten minute walk to all that West End has to offer. This rental has all the conveniences of home. The high-speed internet was a big win. Have your morning coffee on the large deck (great time to sunbathe) while observing crab bathe on the rocks, and then leap into the water when they see you approach. Take a cruise around the bay in the kayak. After a day of activities, take a nap in the hammock before going out to have dinner at one of many great restaurants (this is the toughest decision making you will have). Before retiring for the evening, stargaze...just be sure to study up on your constellations! Half Moon Bay is incredible for snorkeling. We recommend Coconut Tree Divers (you can rent the equipment...very inexpensive) for SCUBA Diving. Miss Lily is very accommodating. Continental offers direct flights weekly (on Saturday) from Houston. We can't wait to return! Tommy, Lynn and John Kertz |

| Had a wonderful stay the beginning of May. The house is great and in a perfect location. Dove with Sueno del Mar. As good an operation as I have ever seen. Roatan was fantastic. Would recommend this house to anyone wishing a different experience than the normal old tropical tourist traps. Lily was great. Found great restaurants and watering holes. Will be back. Thanks Jeff. |

Dear Jeff,
I meant to add a comment sooner but life got hectic upon our return from Roatan. But, did want to say how much we loved the house. We have rented vacation homes over the internet before so I really wasn't too concerned about renting through VBRO as we have used this web site in the past. But your place was even better than the pictures. Miss Lilly was very gracious and helpful with all our many questions. We would recommend this house to anyone. We loved the atmosphere of Westend. A very beautiful area. If I had to do it over again we would have made arrangements to vacation Saturady to Saturday. The flight from Miami with TACA was not a lot of fun with stops in San Seuolo Padro and Le Ceiba. The weekend flights direct to Roatan would be better. I would also like to mention that we ate out every night at Velnas or the Lighthouse and had the best seafood and very inexpensive. I didn't eat meat until I was in the Atlanta airport on the flight home. The diving was very good and I would recommend Native Sons Divers to anyone coming to Roatan for that reason. I am not sure when we will be coming back but we will be back soon. Thanks again for all your help and please tell Miss Lilly hello.

Just returned home from Roatan to 30-degree weather and wish we would never have left. Hope to have our own home their in the near future.
In the mean time I think that we have found our new rental home with you and Miss Lilly! We brought some friends and family with us for this trip and we all agree that you have a great place in West End. We found your place to be very open and airy with a great deck. Someone was always dozing off in one of the hammocks. Your location made for very peaceful evenings for a good nights rest.
We stayed in West Bay our last trip down and while the beach is very nice we found that West End offered a wider variety of everything at a more reasonable price. Please say hi to Miss Lilly. We will get in touch once we have planned our next trip down.
Thanks for the hospitality,
Steve, Holly and friends

Comment Text: WEST END - JEFF'S HOUSE - THE SEQUEL!!! August 30-September 6, 2003. New direct flights with SolAir was a great pick. It was another fantastic week at "Jeff's House" - the only way to go. Ms. Lilly was wonderful, as usual. Met Kevin (who makes a mean Mojito-?) and Phil as Casa. We also had the wonderful pleasure of actually meeting the proprietor - a most gracious host - Jeff! We (same as last year - same time - Cathy & Rick Feig and Wanda & Ricky Mayeux - this has now been their 7th trip) have nothing but wonderful comments re the house and property. We, again, did our diving with Sueno Del Mar. Ray, Elsie, Barry, Karin, Kirsten and the entire group were wonderful. Rented our car (again) from Sandy Bay and had no problems working with David and his new assistant, Ceasar. It was another wonderful week in West End. We were able to ride around the island and visit Parrot Tree and some other great spots. But, it was always nice to come home to our home!
As mentioned, this was our second trip - the same week last year - and here are our comments from last year: "Our first visit to Roatan was wonderful! Thanks, Jeff, for sharing your fantastic house with us. We went with another couple (Ricky & Wanda Mayeux), making this their 5th trip. We couldn't have asked for better accommodations. Ms Lilly was ready for us when we arrived and eagerly showed us around the house and was there if we needed anything. It is a perfect place for a family or two couples. A "more than comfortable" home with a fantastic deck, relaxing furniture, hammocks, plus a wonderful screened porch that was great for morning coffee and looking at the scenery and the bay. The arrangement of the house provided privacy and quiet for sleeping and the living/dining/kitchen was perfect for spending time together and relaxing. We had a fantastic time in West End (almost every night), because it was so convenient. The food and diving in West End was incredible! We would not hesitate to call you again for another week at the house. Your home away from home made us feel like we were at home! Thanks again!!! |

Dear Jeff, We got back from Honduras 2 days ago and are gradually getting back to "normal". On the other hand, the three of us somehow feel that after our Honduras experiences we'll never be the same again. I definitely mean this positively. Of course, the mainland and Roatán are so different that we could hardly believe we were in the same country (except when we heard Ms. Lilly's daughters practicing the National Anthem, right hands on their hearts, singing at full volume one afternoon =:). We fell in love with your house the minute we set foot on the deck and, as a result, spent a lot of time there relaxing, reading, my husband computerizing the endless photos he took, the kids watching ESPN in between dives. I think I told you that one of our older sons (we have a total of 4) is working as a physio therapist at the Nuestros Pequenos Hermanos orphanage in Tegus this year. Roatán was a wonderful R&R for him. It turned out that 2 other voluntarios were vacationing with their parents on the island at the same time, one family staying in Casa Calico, but we tried not to form a German-speaking mob. Living behind CC gave us a chance to meet several wonderful people who were guests there as well as Ms Lilly, Anna, Kevin and Phil. Two doctors whom we met encouraged Jakob to come back next year and volunteer at the hospital in Coxen Hole where they are now working. Of course, at some point he has to earn some money but he is interested. In fact, we are all interested in returning. Both kids loved the diving and were more than satisfied with the staff at Ocean Connections. My husband, Alfred, and I didn't get any further under water than the glass-bottomed boat, but that was a beautiful experience. . Since we had looked at so many different places on the internet before deciding on your house, we decided to check out some cabins and cabannas that we had considered. In the end, we came to the unanimous conclusion that we were living in the best spot on the island. I could go on and on. Suffice it to say that we had a wonderful time and much of it was due to the beauty of your house and the gracious people (Ms Lilly, Kevin), who coordinate and keep things running smoothly in your absence. Let us know if you ever plan to return to Austria and visit Vienna. . Warm regards, Janet (with Alfred, Jakob and Kevin)

| We recently stayed in Jeff's house in west end roatan (march 1 - 8, 2003) and had a blast! There were four of us, including a teenager daughter and her friend. They both fell in love with the hammocks on the deck and we bought two to bring home with us. We went diving each day with Native Sons who are right around the corner from the house on the beach! The location was perfect for us and enabled us to walk to many restaurants and shops along west end beach. It provides wonderful privacy at night and the night winds were amazing! The house has everything you need and there is a "mini grocery store" very close. And the diving was pristine....and great for snorkling as well. Ms. Lily was a great resource and readily available for questions. Thanks Jeff for making your home available...we will definately be back : ) |

| We stayed in Jeff's house for a week and had a total blast. The house is comfortable and roomy (and has a/c!) with a big deck and nice view. It is conveniently located in the West End, which is the coolest part of the island. We were about two minutes from the dive shop we used, Coconut Tree, and many restaurants, bars and shops. I highly recommend Roatan and this house. |

We travelled a long way to come to Roatan and were not disappointed! What a chilled out island it is. Stay at this house and you will be happy. The views are great (a huge sun deck overlooking a bay/mangroves), the location is perfect for the 'West End' and the beaches of West Bay. Ms Lilly and her family made us very welcome and the Iguana on the jetty out to the bay is your personal guard! Go stay there for sure!!!! |

Well,
My friends and I are considering this vacation as, our best one. The house was beautiful, well cared for, clean and always quiet with tranquility. Miss Lilly was awesome... we even cooked her super one night. The constant cool breeze, kept us sleeping comfortably at night and fresh during the day. Having a whole bay to yourself is another story as well. Thanks Jeff, I will be a constant visitor while I look to purchase my own land... hopefully near you. I have NO negative comments what so ever!!!
