| My two week stay at Le Petite Maison was increadible! The house was immaculate, comfortable, and convenient, not to mention BEAUTIFUL. There are many tourists that walk by this house on the way up to the castle, and I could see the envy in their eyes whenever I walked out of the house, that I was staying there. The village truely is like a fairy tail, and the food of the region to dye for, I will be back! |

| La Petite Maison was the highlight of our seven week European holiday. The location in Beynac is excellent and Beynac is the ideal spot in which to explore the Dordogne area. The cottage is fully equipped ready to enjoy. |

| We had a lovely stay in La Petite Maison exploring the Dordogne area. The house is both charming and comfortable and the owners have been very thoughtful about the needs of their guests. We would love to stay again! |

We had a wonderful time at La Petit Maison in Beynac. The house is beautiful and well situated to explore the Dordogne. Beynac village is lovely, complete with chateau and a position along the Dordogne river. Inside we found everything we needed for our family of four. Tow spacious bedrooms with en suite baths, a fully stocked kitchen, and salon with TV and DVD for the kids (and for Dad to watch the Tour de France!). A generous welcome basket of goodies was a thoughtful touch as well. We would highly recommend this house, and hope to return soon. |

We immensely enjoyed our stay in this beautiful home. The house is clean, quiet, well-equipped and convenient to the town without being on the main road.It is close in proximity to the hotel, the pharmacy, restaurants, and town offices, but off of the main thoroughfares enough to be quiet. We appreciated it's proximity to the bakery and the wine shop!Beynac is a beautiful, storybook French village with old stone buildings and fantastic views of the river valley below. The Dordogne River itself is lovely and peaceful with loads of boating, canoeing, and kayaking. We were even privy to some hot air ballooning and some musical concerts in the town square. Market day in Sarlat is not to be missed and daily excursions to other picturesque river towns are a must. The house was a wonderful base for daytrips or a quiet place to rest when one wanted to spend a quiet day at home.Truly a fantastic property!

We loved our week at la Petite Maison in early September 2008. The day we arrived the outdoor temperature was hot, maybe close to 90, but the thick walls, tile roof and wooden shutters were very effective to keep a comfortable temperature inside the house...nights were cool so that was an opportunity to cool the house even further by opening windows.
The situation was perfect.. up the hill a little so as to be quiet and even moreso at night (could not see or hear the road), but still a very easy walk to and from the parking lot (2 minutes). Restaurants, pharmacie, bakery were just steps away, but around a corner so not in view when at the house. The view from the bedroom window of the surrounding countryside is beautiful. The house is extremely well-equipped--kitchen items, books, videos, hair dryers (2), washer/dryer (tucked in a closet) bedding, towels (not face washcloths as these are not typical in Europe--we brought our own). There is even a little place by the door to hang your keys.
The town of Beynac itself couldn't be more of a fairy tale vision. The beautiful golden stone literally glowed in the late day sun. Beynac is also a perfect location as a home base to venture out to other close places in the Perigord Noir. Sarlat, Monpazier, la Roque Gageac, St. Cyprien and other places with Chateaux you can tour... Castelnaud, Les Milandes (where Josephine Baker lived), Puymartin, Domme.
Oh and must specially mention the shower cabinets in the bathrooms. I had never seen those before, but they are really great...it keeps the steam from getting out and heating the room. I imagine in cooler months, it keeps the cold from getting in! I'm not sure how, but this house has plenty of hot water and great water pressure.
I also most appreciate Vincent and Michelle's (owners) website which is very informative with tips on things to do. The guide in the house as well as the orientation guide emailed in advance make for a completely stress-free time as it explains many aspects of the house and area (for those of us who are planners and organizers!)
We have studied German and Spanish (in addition to native English) so really didn't have any French speaking skills...but we had absolutely no trouble by memorizing several key phrases--please, thank you, sorry I don't speak french, how much, can you speak English, and of course, wine, red wine, white wine, and wine of the region. Speaking of which, you must get some foie gras or duck/goose pate, put it on some lettuce from a local market, get some bread, cheese, and eat these with a bottle of Monbazillac (sweet white regional wine). Our friends who live near Toulouse said this is traditional... to this we also added some of the local sausages.mm mm! Now back home for a few days, we are on duck/foie gras detox now :-) ... and we are pining away for the regional wines.
The Dordogne is a magical place! Thanks again to Vincent and Michelle.

I had a wonderful time in Beynac at the petite maison. I bicycled throughout the region and explored many beautiful villages. The house is perfectly equipped, and the decor is fabulous. This is a "one of a kind" spot and I will be back to visit. -Dave Mc. |

| Our stay in your beautiful cottage remains a highlight of our recent trip to France. The friendly village of Beynac was a perfect location for exploring the magnificent Perigord area. It was a pleasure to return to La Petite Maison at the end of the day. We appreciated your travel books and DVDs, the well equipped kitchen and the cosy fire on those chilly April evenings. Thank you so much for sharing your home with us. We will happily recommend it to others and hope to return some time in the future. |

We thoroughly enjoyed our visit to Petite Maison. We don't think we left a stone unturned. We shopped a different market every day, took day trips to: Font de Gaume, Goffrey de Padriac, Jardin d' Eyrignac, Monpazier to the west and as far as St Cere to the east.We had a glorious evening ballon ride. We enjoyed your porch each evening with a bottle of wine and great regional food. The Dordogne area is certainly one of our most memorable visit to France. Thank you for the opportunity to enjoy your lovely home.

My husband and I celebrated our 39th wedding anniversary while staying in this romantic little cottage! It was heaven. The house is so pretty and well maintained that many people stopped and took pictures as they walked by. The town is beautiful, with lots to see and the people friendly. There are many places to visit near by, so it is the perfect base to tour the Dordogne area. The owners made us feel so welcome, and their local representatives were great!
We highly recommend La Petite Maison to anyone who wants a clean, well maintained, beautiful place to stay in the Dordogne area. |

We thoroughly enjoyed this cottage and really appreciated the details w/ videos, plastic cups, plates, etc. for our little ones and brand new plates, glasses, kitchen gadgets, etc. for us. We spent a lovely week in this delightful cottage in Beynac. The Dordogne is beautiful, and the people and food were fabulous. But some of our favorite times were sitting on the tiny patio of the cottage, sipping wine, eating bread and cheese and chatting with the tourists passing by. And if you enjoy cooking, the small kitchen is well stocked for making your own great food!

We enjoyed Beynac and the surrounding area. What a beautiful part of the world! Your little cottage was the perfect place to absorb the atmosphere of the medieval village, everything was fine and it was a very relaxing place to unwind after a hectic day out!! It also provided us with the oppurtunity to buy and prepare food from the wonderful local markets-- something special!! Your information was a great help and very much appreciated.
Once again, many thanks Cathy

We had a great holiday in France - Beynac was definitely the highlight particularly for the kids with bikes and canoes. It wasn't quite the quiet town that I was hoping but it was still great fun.
As you walk around the villages in this region you will find yourself taking photos of your family against the backdrop of these beautiful medieval style homes. Suddenly, you will find yourself in one of these houses with tourists taking photos of it outside with their families – but it never put us off and it was quite a novelty and there was still sufficient privacy.
The accommodation was comfortable (family of 4) and very convenient with plenty to do in the area for active and inquisitive kids.

| Our family of five had a wonderful stay in La Petite Maison. The very clean, well-furnished cottage was filled with thoughtful touches to make our stay pleasant. We loved the location of the cottage in the village and were able to explore the many sights in the Dordogne region. We highly recommend La Petite Maison, and can't wait to return. |

Our time in Beynac was clearly a highlight in a memorable trip to Europe. We saw as much as we could from: the castle where Richard the Lionheart was Baron for 10 years; canoeing down the Dordogne; visits to lovely medieval towns; pre-historic wall paintings; the market at Monpazier and so on.
The stay in your charming medieval cottage (with its very pleasant modern amenities) greatly enhanced the experience. My wife and I had no idea how beautiful this region is - and what a rich variety of experiences it has to offer the visitor.
Thanks again for your very helpful advice regarding hire cars and local booking arrangements. Also Christophe and staff at the hotel did a great job in coordinating local arrangements - in addition to their marvelous 4 course meals. |

| Beynac is idealic as it combines a working medieval village with a magnificent location. The French say that a genie flew over France with a sack full of castles but a hole developed over Dordogne and all the castles fell out. From the village you can see 5 castles. We left our car in the car park for most of the time as there is plenty to do in this valley without it. The cottage is very comfortable but also gives the true feeling of being in a medieval village. |

| This area is certainly one of the most picturesque and beautiful parts of France. You feel as if you have stepped back in time into a fairy tale world. The accommodations are modernly convenient and yet have all the charm and delight that added to our vacation experience. The house has a story book feel and was a great bargain for this area. It's right in the middle of the village and conveniently located to see the surrounding areas. Loved it! Loved it! |

| I had a wonderful stay at the cottage in May. The accommodations were so charming and comfortable. It is right up the street from several fun shops, and within walking distance of the castle and river. This area of France is gorgeous and there is so much to do within short distances. I highly recommend it. |
