" The rental was fantastic! Everyone agreed that your cabin was great. The kids loved eating meals at the kitchen counter, discovering pretty rocks in the "warm room", swinging in the hammock, exploring the property, and running up and down the long driveway flying their kites. In short, it was a perfect house for kids. The adults appreciated the fully stocked kitchen, artistic decor, and close proximity to amazing rock climbing and hiking areas. Thanks for the detailed info you provided, and the great vacation rental! -- The Boyce Family "

We had a great time at the cabin. What a wonderful ecclectic place. Beautiful view of the Sierras from the porch. Really enjoyed the fresh apples and pears. Had to bake an apple pie that first night.
The mines are really great, especially the ones above the property. We drove around by way of coldwater canyon but found out it could easily be hiked.
The temperature was great, almost balmy at night even though it was much colder in Bishop. Interesting micro-climate.
We had fun doing a jigsaw puzzle, listening to the cd collection, stargazing and generally lazing around the place.
We will definitely be back! |

| Well here we are a year later - repeat tenants. Only 7 of us this year and we just had the main house for 3 nights - Friday through Sunday. Fished Crowley again (2 days), not as good as last year but still fun and relaxing. House was superb, upgraded psychedelic flooring (good thing), everything was clean, well stocked and working. We all love this place and recommend it to everyone – you won’t be disappointed. Peaceful, plenty of room (inside and out) plus we had beautiful weather. Until next time. |

| We recently stayed at this vacation home in March and LOVED it! We live near here and decided to take a short retreat close to home. It was the best thing we've done in a long time! The house is amazing, a fun blend of styles and creativity. We enjoyed waking up to beautiful sunrises and hearing the birds chirping in the trees. We hardly left the property, except for one evening when we decided to drive into Bishop for dinner. We just relaxed and slept well in the comfortable beds. Our boys wanted to live there and never come home! You will not regret a stay at this home, we plan to do it again! |

| We spent an extended Christmas Holiday Weekend (December 20 - 25th, 2007) at the log house and guest house. We truly had an exceptional time. The setting and views were spectacular and we couldn't have asked for better weather. The place was a perfect fit for our family, large rooms and plenty of space to congregate and have a good ole time. In addition to a beautiful place to stay, Vicky & David provided valuable info about things to see and do in the area which added to our enjoyment. |

| We stayed at this property from aug 23rd thru aug 30th 2007.While the temps outside was in the low 100's..the house was remarkably cool. This is a great place to relax and be close to nature. We saw lizards, bats, coyotes, owls, hawks, hummingbirds and chipmunks and tons of rabbits and many other bird species. The kitchen had every necessary utensil, pots ,pans, cups etc.The spring water that flows from the tap tasted great. The bedrooms have air conditioning and ceiling fans and the beds were comfortable. We had a fantastic time. |

Let's see where do I start. We spent a week in early May (extended family - 10 of us) at the Deger spread. First of all, both Vicky and Dave were very cordial in answering all my email questions and they were more than accommodating for all our needs. When we arrived at the place we were very pleased with the residences (got both the main house and studio) and there was plenty of room for all. We have stayed at various condos in the Mammoth area for the last 13 years and my father-in-law said this was the best place ever – and I have to agree. Four families came from four different locations so we had 4 vehicles plus a boat and an extra trailer that contained 3 ATV’s – plenty of parking space. We planned a week of fishing nearby Lake Crowley (excellent) but at the last minute we decided to take some quads to explore the extensive BLM land directly behind the property. We ended up taking a day to ride trails to the top of the White Mountains (11,000’) which is an adventure all on it’s own. Back to the places; great kitchen, seating for all, nice living room and enough bedrooms/bathrooms so everyone had their own bed and there was no waiting to use the facilities. The Deger’s keep the place nice and neat and everything functioned, as it is suppose to. With 5 acres you have plenty of privacy, an amazing view (overlooks the valley), a few neighbors and only about 10 minutes from the town of Bishop. So if you like to fish, maybe drive to Mammoth to snow ski or like to hike and take in the beautiful Owens Valley, or just have a comfortable place to relax, we all highly recommend this property. Thanks Vicky and Dave. The house was great and we really enjoyed our time there. Our mountaineering course was held under perfectly sunny skies and then on Sunday we managed to get up to Mammoth and ski a day in great, snowy conditions. You're place was awesome and I hope we can get up there again sometime in the near future. Take care, Tim

"Calling all tired weary and adventuresome. The Deger cabin/Villa in the high Desert of Bishop is the perfect getaway. We had two families with little kids live happily and freely on their 5 acre plot of gorgeousness overlooking the awesome Owens River valley. We skied when we wanted to, we hiked up into the White Mountains when we wanted a little adventure, exploring the countless abandoned gold and silver mines that sprinkle the entire mountain range a ten minute walk from the Cabin. Not to mention Inyo National forest being no more then fifteen minutes away filled with rivers and lakes and breathtaking mountain scenery. We thank you so much for a great week at your place. So Cozy, so peaceful and so much to do so very near at hand." The Ruffalos |
