Just before Christmas arrives, we go on a trip with our best friends for some R&R. It's always a surprise to all, with 1 person planning the whole trip. My honey, Dave, chose this fabulous cottage as our surprise get away.
It was ABSOLUTELY perfect down to the last detail. Elizabeth & Mark thought of everything. We felt welcomed from the moment we stepped across the threshold into this wonderful, warm cottage. We actually didn't want to leave to avail ourselves of the great shopping, art galleries, and fabulous restaurants just a short walk away. Instead, we hunkered down, played games, read, took a few walks, bought gorgeous pottery from Elizabeth, and enjoyed the restaurants she suggested. We truly felt like family.
The four of us are ready to tackle the holiday rush with peace & a grateful heart thanks to our stay at the High Street Cottage.
Thanks Elizabeth and Mark! We will be back. Hugs~ Jan & Dave Cheryl & Alex |

| This house has everything you will need and more! It is walking distance to the theatre and restaurants and a great garden in the back that you are encouraged to harvest from and use. We had a great dinner of salad one evening -- there is a dream kitchen outside that has everything you can possibly need to BBQ. Mark and Elizabeth are ideal hosts -- always available when you need them but you really feel like you have the place to yourself. I went for a little mid-week theatre vacation with my mom but will definitely go back with my husband and some of our friends. I highly recommend this sweet house to anyone! |

| We can't recommend this house highly enough. It is immaculate and as comfortable as home after 10 minutes. Beautiful surroundings, great neighborhood, and very close to downtown. Elizabeth and Mark are welcoming, interesting, and fun. We can't wait to go back. |

I have traveled extensively, staying in everything from castles to caves. The High Street Cottage in Ashland is a gem. My husband and I have stayed twice in the past year and will return. It tales me right back to my grandmother's well scrubbed, freshly painted charming 30's house in her quiet neighborhood. Yet owners Elizabeth and Mark, being artists, have added the perfect art and other touches throughout ( nothing remotely tacky). They have also thought of EVERYTHING from robes and natural soaps, to chocolate truffles, fresh fruit and organic greens from the garden. It is even quiet enough for an insomniac to get a full 8 hours. Don't miss this experience if you're staying in Ashland. |

| The cottage is so beautiful - every inch of it. So much care and love and attention to comfort and detail was evident from the moment we walked inside. It is quiet, perfectly located and Mark and Elizabeth are so helpful and delightful it was a real gift for us to find and spend our Christmas vacation at this wonderful property. We enthusiastically recommend it if you're in the area - don't miss this gem! |

| Mark and Elizabeth's beautifully restored and furnished cottage is situated in Ashland's oldest residential neighborhood, the Skidmore Academy Historic District. The three Festival theaters and Ashland's Main Street are an easy stroll along High Street to Ashland Creek and the Plaza, a shady route lined with a mix of Victorian houses, Craftsman bungalows, and vernacular cottages. Along the way, we were more likely to encounter a family of deer than a car, and the political and financial hysteria of September 2008 seemed mercifully distant. We've had great luck finding vacation properties on the Web, but the High Street Cottage is at the top of our list. We look forward to returning next year. |

July 2008 - 3 lovely days in High Street Cottage for 4 of us. If you are coming to Ashland, do consider this vrbo - it is exceptional and reasonably priced. You will not regret it. Walk to theatres a bit longer than I expected - 15-20 minutes for slow walkers like me - but manageable. Previous comments from other guests enthusiastically endorsed. |

| We recently spent a lovely four days at High Street Cottage. It has been carefully and artfully restored and decorated. Everything imaginable is there for the comfort of guests with many surprising and delightful extras. Elizabeth is eager to provide anything that could possibly be missing. The neighborhood is quiet and a comfortable walk to the Oregon Shakespeare Festival and the heart of Ashland. Our experience there was exceptional. |

| Our weekend stay at the High Street Cottage was lovely. It is the perfect distance from the downtown area. Far enough away to be quiet, but close enough to walk. The cottage is light, airy and fully equiped for anything you could need. Mark and Elizabeth were friendly and thoughtful without being invasive. The setting was completed by the community outdoor kitchen. Overall it was excellent. We will definatly be back. |

We spent a week in the High Street Cottage in July and were completely satisfied in every way. This home is very comfortable and could not be cleaner or more fully equipped. We have been staying with Mark and Elizabeth several times each year and will continue to do so whenever we are in Ashland. Ashland is really a wonderful place to visit, we love it. We are looking forward to returning in October.

Our weekend at the High Street Cottage was wonderful. The home atmosphere was warm, welcoming, comfortable, clean...and filled to the brim with thoughtful touches. Fresh cut herbs and greens, coffee beans and a variety of teas, spices in the kitchen. Cozy seating, fabulous beds and linens, a variety of books and magazines...there's even a sewing kit, a picnic basket and first aid kit. Mark is friendly, helpful, and not intrusive. I can't wait til we return next year. |
