Words do NOT describe the wonderful help that Memmon and Susan provided prior to our reservation at their quiet, relaxing, well-equipped hideaway above La Ropa Beach. Our stay at Casa Contenta from May 27 through May 30, 2009, was MORE than we could have wished for -- and the reason we are now hoping for a return visit next year. We loved the beaches, the food (especially at Paty Miramar - an easy downhill walk from the condo - and FRESH whole red snapper at Los Adobes), the laid-back local fishing community of Zihuatanejo (including watching evening basketball games on Fisherman's Walk), the shopping...even the oh-so-easy-to-catch omnipresent taxis that squired us several times a day back to the condo for some rest and lazing in the infinity pools. THANK YOU, MEMMON AND SUSAN!!! |

My best friend and I stayed at Casa Contenta from 1/7 - 1/10, 2009. I can't begin to describe how fantastic the experience was. Susan and Memmon were incredibly helpful, emailing us tips and advice in advance, helping with restaurant selection and places to see. The condo is very private, quiet and comfortable. The kitchen is fully stocked if you like to eat in. The view is stunning and the pools are breathtaking. The town of Zihauantejo is beautiful, colorful, charming, and tropical. We ate dinner at Il Mare, Elvira's on La Ropa, and El Meditereaneo in downtown Zihau. Service was fantastic, food was great and reasonably priced. We spent a week in paradise and can't wait to return. Amy & Brandon Tucson, AZ

My family stayed at Memmon's and Susan's condo from December 20-27, 2008. We had a great time enjoying the amazing view from the condo, the great beach at walking distance and the relaxed life style and kind people this City offers. The complex is in immaculate shape and the workers there are very friendly. We celebrated my son’s 23rd birthday on Christmas day by having dinner at Villa de la Selva in Ixtapa, which has a great view, delicious food and very good wine. We had dinner at the fat mermaid, Mariner’s (main square) and we highly recommend them. We tried La Gula on Christmas Eve and although the food was Ok we thought that it was too pricey. In summary, our experience was unforgettable. Also, Memmon’s advice and tips were very helpful. We will definitely be back. Michel’s, Austin, Texas

We just got back from a week's trip to Zihua and this condo is fantastic. It has everything that you could possibly need and the view's are unbelievable! A must is to take the water taxi to Las Gatas for the day (or two!). We ate at different restaurants each day/night and always had an excellent meal. I would advise taking a taxi back to the condo each time as the stair's/road is very steep. It is only $3 from anywhere in the area. We plan to use this condo many times in the near future.

We had a wonderful stay at Casa Contenta. Memmon was wonderful to work with! Casa Contenta was more beautiful than we expected. We stayed there with my sister and her husband. It was clean and well maintained. The infinity pools were gorgeous. The security staff were very helpful. Even the year round residents were a good resource. We went to Playa los Gatos via water taxi. Had full body massages at Isabel's on Playa la Ropa. Ate wonderful food in La Madera. We suggest El Manglar on Playa la Ropa. Tamales Any's, Los Braseros, and Garrabos in la Madera area. La Cala Restaurant is one of the more pricier restaurants, but well worth it. If we ever go back to Zihua, we'll definitely stay at Casa Contenta again!

We are two couples who stayed at Casa Contenta from Jan. 17th until Feb. 2nd, 2008. It was perfect for us. Two large bedrooms and two tiled baths, fully stocked kitchen, beautiful decor, and fantastic view. We have been traveling Mexico for 20 years, mostly in the Yucatan. Zihua reminded us of what Cancun was like before it became a tourist trap. The people were great & the food superb. Be sure to walk down to La Gula - gourmet food at very reasonable prices. We walked to town every day, sometimes twice. The guys golfed 14 of the 16 days we were in Zihua - bought a month pass for $450. We received the condo deposit back within a week after our return. We will go back to Zihua.

Casa Contenta offers the old charm styling of Zihautenejo in an immaculate setting. The unit is spacious, and offers a view that could be a mural. The kitchen is well equipped and supplies extras (like a blender) that inspire. The pool area makes it hard to leave the facility, yet the short walk to the beach reminds one of the magic of Mexico and its cultural uniqueness. We would definitely like to return.

We had a wonderful stay at Casa Contenta. The location was very convenient to town and a short walk to the beach.. The condo itself is beautiful, lots of tile - very nice beds and bathrooms/showers. The view is outstanding! The security folks are very accomodating and attentive. The owners were very helpful too, they provided us with good tips about the area, etc. prior to our arrival. We would definitely stay here again!

Casa Contenta is a lovely, clean, spacious condo with a beautiful view and very helpful service. The pools are a perfect temperature, serene, relaxing. Great accessibility to Playa Ropa- only a 5 minute walk, nice sand and waves on the small side but decent for boogie boarding. Not a bad walk (20-30 min) to get into town if you're up for some exercise after a day of lounging and eating nachos and reading. We walked or taxi'ed in to town every day to shop or eat. We ate fresh, wonderful pastries every day at the pasteleria on the main road before Fisherman's Paseo.WE did a big grocery shopping on the first day at the Comercial (about $100 for a family of four) and that lasted us all week eating breakfast and snacks in the condo and only needing to go out to eat once a day for dinner. We had fantastic tamales at ANY'S restaurant (the best I've ever tasted), and the best tortilla soup at Bandido's (you also get a fun tableside magic show there). The culinary treat of the week was an international quality gourmet meal at Z's restaurant at Club Intrawest-- an outstanding meal in a romantic setting. The boat trip to Las Gatas was fun but the snorkeling there was a bit murky; we saw lots of fish but it looked like we were viewing in B&W instead of color. Our girls loved parasailing on Playa Ropa. We visited Ixtapa and Playa Linda (which was quite crowded and trashy) but felt Zihua was so much more of a colorful, character-ful, charming place. We were glad we chose to stay in Casa Contenta and we loved our stay here. The beds and showers are nice - we slept well here! The owners and the staff there made everything very easy and hospitable. We give it 4 stars for a laid back relaxing family vacation.

This is definitely a beautiful oceanview Condo. We stayed the end of March, 2007. It was very neat and clean. The maid service was great. The Infinity pools were breathtaking. All the information that was given was accurate and complete. Thank you for a great vacation. We were very satisfied and would rent again.
