We stayed in this house 7 of us, my family (wife, son, daughter and myself) plus 3 nieces, for a week. Overall, we had a great time. Mr. Costas arranged to have us picked up and greeted us with treats in the house. The house is spacious, clean and cool. Really, much better than I had expected. It is centrally located, close to the central road, the beach, and the bus station. And yet, very quiet.
We could have not found a better place for the money, for our large group. The 4 girls slept in one room and my wife, son and myself in the other. The kitchen and bathroom have outside doors so the girls could use the bathroom and kitchen without having to go through our room. Overall, we are 100% pleased.
Perissa is a nice city. We did a lot of traveling without needing to rent a car. The bus station is very close to the house and the buses run often and the fare is cheap. There are many organized tours (by boat or bus) to visit different beaches, the volcano, etc. If you like hiking, there are at least 2 great hiking trips (we did both!) If you like running, the Perissa beach front road is 2 miles long, perfect for a 4 mile morning run (more if you want to explore other routes). Plus, the city is full with restaurants, bars, etc. Free wireless internet is available in some places. If you like photography, Santorini is the most photogenic Greek island. We visited in early August, a busy time, yet the island was not too crowded.
We had a great time in Santorini and I would recommend the island and this house without any hesitation.

Nice place to stay!
We stayed in this lovely apartment in August 2007 for 7 days. Indeed, it is located only 30 meteres away from the beach!
Perissa, in general, is a nice village. Minor disadvantage is that it is approx. 30 minutes away from the capital of the island. However, in Perissa, you can find everything; nice beach, restaurants, bar, coffee shops and bars!
The house itself is spacious, very clean and can accommodate at least 4 persons and up to 7-8. The large veranda all around the house is definetely a good offer, espacially for us that we had our kids with us.
Finally, Mr. Kostas had prepared a nice welcome for us and also made a briefing for the island.
I would recommend this place for families, but it also ideal for couples. |
