Thank you so much for everything! We love it here and plan to return many times. Such warm hospitality isn't found often nowadays. The massage was so awesome. If you are ever near Garden City, please call.

Greetings, Our family stayed in Terry's home for Christmas 2008. We have 4 daughters, ages 23, 20, 18 and 9 and there was plenty of room for all. We cooked all of our meals there. The kitchen was supplied with everything we needed. It was a cold and windy Christmas but we enjoyed staying in and playing games and watching movies. It was great to spend time together. The house was clean and ready for us when we arrived. Terry came to say Hello and welcome us - a great guy - and like someone else said, he makes you feel as if you are long time friends. We saw a herd of deer outside from the deck twice so that was quite a treat for us city folk! We would definitely stay again. Thanks Tery for the hospitality! :)

I was looking for a one night stay in Estes Park on a very short timeline. Terry called and had a nice, quiet room with gorgeous sunrise view. I was looking to hike and grab some photos in the early morning so the room, view etc were perfect. His lodge/home is very nice, warm, friendly and he is a very accomodating person as I got in late and left early. I will look him up again in the future

Since this is our 4th year to stay with Terri & Jacqui, you might say that their place is truly our "home away from home"!! T & J have been gracious hosts and now are valued friends. Their rental is even more spacious and well-appointed than the VRBO photos suggest. Already, we can't wait until next September!

The old saying goes, "There's no place like home" and this is not the case here. Active at Altitude is a place BETTER than home. Terry and Jacqui Chiplin's home not only provide you with unmatched accommodations at a bargain when compared to other hotels and inns in the area, but also provide you with a one of a kind living experience. Their beautiful home not only offers you a spectacular bedroom, but also a full kitchen, dining room, living room, and an enormous deck that overlooks the mountains and meadow.
I consider Terry and Jackie not as homeowners that provided me a hospitable stay in their home while I was up there on vacation, but as good friends. People bring meaning to a place and they have certainly brought meaning to my experience in their home by providing great conversation and treating me as if I were a long time friend. Terry even offered me a personal life coaching session that has brought me great insight and encouragement in reaching my career goals.
This review and the uploaded pictures don't come anywhere close to doing this place justice. If you're up in the Colorado area in Estes Park looking for a home away from home then give Terry a call right away. I warn you that you'll never leave though.

You have a beautiful mountain home - we truly enjoyed our great "homely" accommodations with lots of friendly service "with a smile!" Thank you for your warm hospitality. It was fun to be here - perhaps next year for the 2009 Scottish / Irish festival.

After a long, hard journey(for bikers that is) we found a pleasant and enjoyable place to stay at Terry and Jacqui's mountain lodge. Rocky Mountain National Park was the "high point" of our bicycle tour from Salt Lake City to Denver, where we shall arrive soon.

Seventeen were present for our family re-union held at the condo. We all stayed very comfortably; the beds being very comfortable and the kitchen well equipped for all that we needed. We ate almost all of our meals there other than a few lunches out. We thoroughly enjoyed the evenings on the deck during our four day stay. We would highly recommend the condo as a place to stay. | I recently had a "girls weekend" in Estes Park. We stayed at a local, historical and well-known prestigeous hotel. We were disappointed with our room given the stature of this hotel. Next time I will convince my friends to stay at Terry's place. It is far more comfortable, quiet and intimate...perfect for family and friends to enjoy the mountains and each other's company! Terry, we will book again soon! |

We stayed with Terry and Jacqui for our son's wedding. These folks are truly gracious hosts, and will help you find whatever you need in EP. The lower level is great, the deck and views fabulous, and we also rented the B&B rooms upstairs for a couple nights. Our group ranged from 8-12 over several days, and they were amazing to work with. Terry is a high altitude trainer in addition.

We rented Terry's property in connection with our daughter's wedding. It served as a quiet respite from the nearby wedding hotel. Terry was a very attentive and congenial host. I would recommend this property for anyone interested in Estes or Rocky Mtn Nat'l Park. The location 3 miles outside of downtown is ideal as it is close to town yet remote enough to offer quiet relaxation. Ideal setup for 2 couples with children.

Terry is an outstanding host with a wonderful location! The place is perfectly nestled just outside of Estes Park...only a few minutes away from downtown. Beautiful accomodations and wonderful for children. We had two couples and four young kids. The bunk bed room was perfect for us. We would certainly stay at this property again and would recommend it to anyone staying in the Estes Park/Big Thompson Canyon area. It was also just a few minutes from multiple entrances to Rocky Mountain National Park, which was also very nice.

This was a wonderful place to stay before the Estes Park marathon this year (2007)! We had a relaxing stay and a wonderful pre race meal in preparation for the hardest marathon I have ever done. Usually I don't sleep well the night before a marathon but this was an exception!! My sister, nephew and I plan to return next year!! |

Wonderful accomodations and a fabulous host! The rooms are spacious and the beds are extremely comfortable. The deck with southern exposure and the gas grill are an added bonus. We brought our laptop computer and appreciated the wireless internet access...especially with two teenagers in our party!
The purpose of our trip to EP this year was to honor my mom's request to have her ashes scattered in RMNP. We will be forever grateful to Terry for his understanding and kindness. Terry, you are the best. Thanks so much!

Terry was a wonderful host, he made sure we got settled and knew where everything was. The apartment space was perfect for our family visit. Spence loved the bunk beds and my in-laws had their own large room and bathroom (as did we) and we had good privacy. The living/dining area was cozy and comfortable. The deck was great and easy access to town without being "in town". It was lovely and quiet and truly a great "get away" place. We loved all the wood inside and the beds were very comfortable. We will be back with more family! Thanks!

This is a wonderful place. We stayed here in the fall of 2005 and it was so nice that we returned in September 2006. The facility is clean and spacious, and the mountain views are terrific. Terry is a wonderful host, and a pleasure to deal with. Our family of 5 (4 adults and 1 baby) had plenty of space to spread out. We recommend this property to anyone, and will very likely stay there again in the future. Thanks for a great week, Terry! We all hated to leave.

We had a great stay at Active at Altitude, though I wish we had planned for much more than one night. Terry and Jacqui were great hosts, welcoming us into their home, and made every effort to make our stay fantastic (even providing toys for our 2 year old daughter). They provided an incredible meal the night before the race, and the accommodations were clean, comfortable, and a great place for a good pre-race sleep. The views are unbeatable, the location is ideal, and the home is comfortable. It would be a good place to spend time to take advantage of the area for extended training at altitude, but it is also just a nice place to be. We will definitely return, if not with our running club, then on our own. |

I stayed at Active at Altitude for only one night (unfortunately!) with a group of other runners from the Bolder Boulder Training Club. The place is wonderful. It is large, relaxing and comfortable with beautiful views. Terry and his wife were so friendly and accommodating; their hospitality, great food, and the comfortable night's sleep made for a great race the next morning in Estes! I would recommend Active at Altitude to athletes and non-athletes alike. Next time I hope to be able to stay longer!

A week was not nearly long enough to enjoy the comfort of this home away from home. The pictures do not do this home justice...it truly is lovely and very comfortable. Few vacation homes can accomodate 10 people as well as this one. Terry is a gracious and helpful host...very available to answer any questions. We would recommend this home without reservation...enjoy your stay!

After reading previous comments from the guest book I hate to be redundant, but this place is fantastic! The pictures are good but don't do it justice. The atmosphere, the scenery, the host/hostess are all top notch! The facilities are clean and complete, we had an enjoyable stay and that was with 6 kids!!!! No kidding! Do yourself a favor and check this place out you will not be disappointed. As the gov'nor of CA would say...."We'll be back" tom, yvonne, & family.

My wife and I stayed with our 5 grandkids (4 boys & 1 girl) at this facility. It just fit our needs since the 4 boys stayed in the room with 4 bunk beds; our girl in her own room; and my wife and I in the master bedroom. Everything was great and our host, Terry, could not have been more helpful--he even delivered to us in Denver my wife's credit cards which he found in the room after we left!
