Lisa, the Cottage was amazing! It was perfect for us. The snowmobile trails were awesome, and it was nice to have Foggy's right up the road. They had great food and entertainment. I happened to see that the Cottage is up for sale. Could you send me some more info on that? We're interested in a cabin in the UP, and that would suit us well. Thank you so much for making our stay enjoyable. Shalene

Hi Lisa, We're glad the extra night worked out. We had a great time! Did a lot of hiking and saw 15 different waterfalls. This get away was exactly what we needed. We really enjoyed the cabin also. Very cute - and clean! Nice location and we appreciated the privacy the place offered. (We live in the country with a woods behind us) We hope to come back. My husband would LOVE to hike from Grand Marais to Munising! We did a wonderful 10 mile hike in Pictured Rocks - just beautiful!! No black flies at all our whole trip. I think it was just cool enough (and windy) to keep them away. Lucky us! I am hoping the next trip to the U.P. will be in the fall -I have your site bookmarked. Thanks Lisa.

Lisa, Thanks for letting us stay at the Evergreen Cottage. We had a wonderful time. We were able to go hiking and see a lot of the sights. The dogs loved the backyard with the stream. We hope to be staying with you again this year some time.

What a beautiful coooool part of the country. We enjoyed our visit there. I slept like a log every nite we were there. The black flies and mosquitos were something to deal with and I found out that the repellant works pretty good. We had a wonderful time sightseeing and relaxing. Thanks again Liza! |

| This was a great place to get away for the weekend. We visited all of the local sites and enjoyed our quiet time here. We brought our dogs and they loved the freedom from Chicago and playing in the stream! We'll definately be back!! |

One of the best vacations yet. If you are interested in Iron Mining History, this is THE central location! The cottage was adorable; overlooked the lake, was neat and clean and had all the amenities of home. Our cocker spaniel "DaisyMae" enjoyed it as well. Thanks for the wonderful accommodations Lisa and Tom

Had a wonderful 4th of July week visiting family in the area. The cabin was comfortable, roomy and nicely furnished. We had everything we needed. Easy to get back and forth to Munising and all the surrounding attractions. Thanks for making our stay a pleasant one! |

8/13/06 We came up and saw the Pictured Rocks and several waterfalls and other historical features around town. The weather was great this whole weekend and we (family of 5) absolutely loved the cabin. Plenty of beds and blankets, fully equipped kitchen, everything was comfortable and clean, and there was even charcoal in the grill! We were impressed. The landscape here is lovely and we spent lots of time outside, but it was nice to have a home away from home to crash at at the end of the day. 7/27/06 We have enjoyed our 5 days at your nice wooded cabin. Lots of room and well supplied. I especially like the entrance room with all the windows, great area for relaxing and reading. We took several side trips and our favorites were the Pictured Rocks Cruise and visiting Sault Saint Marie. That was awesome. Thank you so much for allowing us to spend time at you place. 3/11/06 Rode about 40 miles today. Mud, water and slush, we should have brought the boat. We still had fun though. See you next year! The Reed Value Boys Brett Nixon, Greg Geglavek

2/19/06 What a wonderful place! Not only did we have some great accommodations, but the scenery was just as grand. The weather was cold and snowy, what more could six Hoosiers ask for? The trails provided loads of fun and lots of great pictures that we’ll enjoy while we tell our stories about the week. We’ll look forward to coming back again and know this is definitely THE place to stay! Thanks to both of you for your hospitality! Laria and Don Regan, Jerri and Chuck, Don Junnon

1/28/06 Drove up from down state on a sunny 40 degree day. O.k. for driving but not for the sleds. Rode 38 miles of mixed mud slush. Our saving graces are the beautiful accommodations. Nice job on the cabin! Waiting for the predicted snow and telling lies. Enough snow to ride, 400 plus miles in 3 days. As luck would have it, snow began to fall on our last day, no complaints. Good friends, good times! Thanks, Don and Kathy Mur, Dave and Jenny Mckellar, Paul Warner

1/21/06 and 1/27/06 – 1/28/06 We used the cabin as our “base camp” (and “back-packed” to Baraga, Calumet, and Ishpeming.) The snow was a little thin at the beginning of the week, but we managed to put on almost 1000 miles! The cabin is great and thanks for stocking up on the coffee and supplies for us. We really enjoyed our stay and hope to return next year! “Team Tippy” Snowmobilers from Spring Lake and Grand Haven

For most of us, this was our first visit to Pictures Rocks. We had a wonderful time. We spent time at Miners Beach, went charter fishing in Lake Superior (caugt 12 lake trout) and of course, went to the falls and the lookout over pictured rock. The cabin was just as cute as described and ideal for relaxing and making some home cooked meals. Thank you for all your hospitality, we really had a great time!
