This property had everything we were looking for in a vacation, especially since traveling with a pre-schooler. The house was spacious with an open floor plan. The pool is small, yet large enough for everyone to relax in it. Who wants to swim laps while on vacation anyways? I've been on many vacations to many different destinations, and this was the cleanest most pristine beach i have EVER been on. No rocks, no stones, no shells... crystal clear water and very quiet with the exception of weekends when the locals gather. Everything in the house was perfect... and anything we needed while there was provided to us by the owners living upstairs. Armando was quick to answer any questions, show us around town, and even accompanied us to a doctor which was needed during our stay. One of the largest barrier reefs in the world is right outside your doorstep with spectacular snorkeling for about $20 US dollars per person including all gear, boat ride, and guide. We saw turtles, Rays, barracuda, and hundreds of species of fish. If you are looking for a quiet vacation without the hussle of overcrowded Cancun, this place can't be matched. While there, we walked the beach for over a mile, and all agreed we had the PERFECT spot and the nicest house there. We will definitely be back next year. I cannot say enough positive things about casa del viento, it's owners, and it's perfect beach right outside the back door. |

We have been vacationing in Playa del Carmen for 15 years, and have seen the town grow from a sleepy Mexican village to almost another Cancun! Our search for a quieter and more relaxed place to go led us to Puerto Morelos and Casa del Viento. What a find! The house is beautiful. The patio and small pool/jacuzzi look over the beach - there is even a private beach area on the property. There is a 2 person Kayak and snorkeling gear for guest use. Armando, the Owner, and his family, Barbara and Maru, have done a marvelous job creating a little piece of paradise for themselves and their guests. They live on the premises , and are there to help with anything you need, but also have the good sense to allow your privacy when you don't. Armando picked us up at the airport, took us shopping, and helped us get our bearings in the town - even cooked us dinner one night. We really felt like we were at home. We went shopping in town when we needed to , and with Armando's help bought fantastic fish (grouper) and lobster directly from the fisherman. Armando also accompanied us to the local Wednesday Mayan vegtable market, we learned so much thanks to his fluency in English and Spanish, and his affection for cooking. Walking down the beach with our groceries was a hoot! If cooking is not your thing, Armando can arrange a chef for very reasonable fee, and there are several good restaurants and bars in town - all within walking distance. Anyone looking for a relaxing and beautiful spot for a vacation cannot go wrong with Casa del Viento. We give it five stars.

| My daughter and I recently had the pleasure to vacation in Puerto Morelos. We rented Casa del Viento, a beautiful villa right on the beach. The owner Armando lives on the premises and is there for you if you need him. He speaks english, french and italian and is a real sweetheart. He picked us up from the airport in a new 10 person van and charges half of what other transportation Co charge. He also took us shopping the next day to Wal Mart and a fabulous liquor store and deli across the street from Wal Mart. He will take you sightseeing for a small fee. No need to rent a car. The villa is new and very clean with marble baths, very comfortable mattress and super quite air conditioner. There is a small pool/jacuzzi with waterfall, but we rarely used it, with the most fabulous beach right at your back door. We spend hours in the water, which is very clear and practically no waves. The beach is mostly deserted except on Sundays, when the locals use it. It also gets cleaned every day by a tractor and rake. We walked into the center of town in 10 easy minutes to go shopping and eat in the many restaurants. There is a small grocery store in town, but we did our main shopping at Wal Mart, which takes credit cards. The town is very small and very laid back. We found this to be a most relaxing and quite vacation and will definitely go back next year. We have stayed in Cancun and for the last 5 years rented villas in Playa del Carmen which is becoming to crowded and expensive. After staying in Puerto Morelos and Casa del Viento, we will be vacationing there from now on |

| This place is beautiful! Much larger than it appears. We will never stay in Cancun again after this experience it was closer to the airport than Cancun we took a bus from airport to Puerto Moroles it was dirt cheap and nice vacation coach style very clean. The owner is on site for any needs even gave us snorkeling gear to use. The town is darling and less populated than crowded Cancun We bought lobster tails right off the boat that day for 10.00 a piece best I ever had. Local market and great resturants. the beach was private and much security up and down the beach. The house was brand new modern and very clean. We found out the owner could have hired a cook for 30.00 a day to cook all our meals. We will definitely be back and set up a cook next time best stay Ive ever had in Mexico! |
