| We had a great stay at Kickerback Kottage, even though the weather was less than desirable. We were impressed by the cleanliness of the cabin and the modern furnishings and appliances. My daughter and I played many games of pool and we tried to assemble the 1000 piece puzzle but ran out of time after only completing about half of it. And the easy drive into town was also something that we appreciated along with the parking pass. We definitely are interested in returning. |

I thought the snacks were very thoughtful! And I wanted to take the chair in front of the fireplace home with us (haha) It was my favorite place to sit. The only problem we had with the place was leaving! I am sure that I could find a super luxury cabin in the Smokies that would have the same high standards, but not for the price you offer. And thank you so much for taking care of the hot tub so well. We've stayed at places with 'clean' hot tubs before and they were definatley not clean in comparison. I could tell you actually cleaned it and not just dumped chemicals in it. "

| What a pleasant surprise to walk into such a beautifully furnished, clean home. This means a lot coming from us as we are very picky (won't walk barefoot on hotel carpet, lysol everything before we touch it)! IT IS CLEAN. A relaxing vacation from the get-go. Played pool, grilled out, soaked in the hot tub (also clean as a whistle). Very convenient to town and action, yet removed enough to feel secluded. We took a great hike to Grotto Falls, then drove the Motor Nature Trail where we saw a mother bear and cubs! Go and enjoy yourselves. |

April 2008- What a perfect spot for a quick get-away from Atlanta! The 'kottage' is perfect. Thank you for letting us bring our pet. He was a bit confused about the pool table (he's ball obsessive) and couldn't figure out why the balls never hit the floor! We left behind Martini glasses in hope that our new tradition of cocktails in the Hot Tub at 5pm becomes a new tradition for others. We will be repeat vacationers!

April 2008- We can't begin to thank you enough for opening up your 'kottage' to us. We have thoroughly enjoyed our stay here and hope to make it back again soon. I have checked many 'web' site for cabin rentals and have found yours to be 'exactly' what you promised. It is quite 'cozy'-very clean!!-close & convient to town...and looks better in person than on the internet! We met our kids from Nashville here for a week-end get-away. They found it relaxing and comfortable...all of us enjoyed getting back to the great mtn. air & away from the 'city'. We loved hiking up the hill with our dog, Baily, and ejoying the awesome views from the top. We took them to Hartsford, Tn, off I-40,to go whitewater rafting--they loved it. We drove to the cute town of Waynesville, NC for a nice lunch & quick shopping trip! Also plenty of eating and shopping here! All in all- this has been a perfect weekend! Thanks for all your help in answering my questions & for a great cabin.

We stayed at the Kickerback Kottage the weekend of Dec 15 2007. My son was married in Gatlinburg. I got a very good feeling from the VRBO site for this cottage and felt even more confident once I started corresponding with Mike and Sue even before we left home.
I had researched many rentals since we had never used VRBO before. I felt this one was right, well we really lucked out!! Let me tell you, the cottage and the stay well surpassed our expectation. The cottage was very clean, safe and personalized with a note to our family, little snacks and clean towels, whirlpool and a very clean, fresh comfortable get away. This one is a keeper.
We loved Kickerback and Mike and Sue made it very special. These are very trustworthy people and I highly recommend a stay here.
We simply drove down the hill and parked one street over from the main drag and totally enjoyed gatlinburg. Then we drove back to Kickerback played pool then slipped into the whirlpool and enjoyed the lights of the city from the cottage deck. Plus we were able to bring our dog with us. There is everything you need plus the cottage is in great shape. It was perfect. Thank you Sue and Mike for the great experience. We will be back and have told our friends about Kickerback.

This is the second year to bring our parents to Gatlinburg for a 'get-away' A(Christmas gift), they are in their 70's and need the comfort to enjoy themselves...and you-all helped make that happen- Thank you so very much.

The house was great. We loved the Christmas touches and finding the tree lighted was lovely. It is a great location and one reason we chose to stay was the fact that the Hot Tub water is changed after each guest. We are both in the Health Care Industry and usually don't use public Hot Tubs, but felt very confident that yours would be safe. "We love your Chalet. Having come down from Ohio 18 of the last 23 years, we have stayed in all kinds of places. This one is great! Our son is a senior in High School this year, so this will be the last time coming down with us this time of year...for it's off to College. We loved the Hot Tub. I loved the fact that it was fresh water we we got here. Your attention to the little things meant alot to us and shows that you think about your guests. Our 8th grade daughter spent a good deal of time watching the Disney channel upstairs. We enjoyed the pool table, too! I cooked most of our meals in and appreciated having a stove which had all working parts!
At 50 years young, I figure we have 20 more years to come down (Lord willing), so you'll have a repeat customer if your place stays in this great shape.

Thank you! Our stay was wonderful. This was one of many trips we have made to G'burg and we wish we had known about Kickerback Kottages before now. Your cabin is absolutely exactly as you describe it to be. It is a thousand times better than any hotel room. The wooded area makes you feel you are in a secluded cabin away from everything yet it is so close to the action of downtown. We will definetly be staying again and will recommend it to others!! Thanks again!!
