| My friend and I went to Alaska to explore and we did despite rain. Speaking from both of us, we never felt more comfortable after being waterlogged for a few days in the bush than we did when we arrived at "THE YELLOW HOUSE" on the hill. We just stayed in for a few days to thaw out, we hired a local lady to buy provisions, and she cooked wonderful culinary delights and I really relaxed and time stood still. Cordova is a sleepy fishing village and I enjoyed the reality of a real town unaffected with tourism, all the while staying in a lovely, clean, comfortable home. I look forward to the opportuntiy to return. Gordon from Bevery Hills |

| Staying at this beautiful, fully equipped, home was the best Alaska vacation ever. The mountains are "right there" and I could watch the fishing boats in the sound without leaving my chair. The town is only a few blocks away with several good restaurants and a wonderful museum with Alaska history and artifacts. We took an excursion to an active glacier nearby and even saw icebergs "calving". Picking berries next to the house was so much fun. Had them on cereal and baked a pie. The great thing is the location of the house, on a hill with spectacular views. You feel as if you are in the forest, but you are close to everything you might need. My wife and kids wanted to stay all summer. Maybe next time. |
