My husband and I stayed here for 5 nights and would certainly stay again. Cute little upstairs apartment. Very clean. Nice kitchen. The claw-foot bathtub added to the charming style of the decor.

I stayed at the Sunday House twice, while visiting our daughter who was attending UT-Austin. The apartment is lovely and quiet, and easy walking distance to shops and restaurants. We enjoyed walking the paths at Town Lake, seeing the millions of bats come out at dusk at the bridge, and cozy dinners at 'home', playing Scrabble and enjoying the peaceful setting. I would recommend the Sunday House to anyone needing a home away from home.

We enjoyed our stay at the Sunday house. We only wish we could have stayed longer than 3 days. The location is great and it is an easy walk to get coffee, go to Austin's quirky shops and eat great Mexican food. When we visit Austin again, we would like to stay here.

My husband and I visited Austin in late March to attend my nephew's Culinary School graduation. We wanted to be closer to the downtown action than where my sister lives (in a north suburb). Finding The Sunday House via the web was perfect. The owner Jimi was great to work with--both before and during our stay.
What a lovely property in a great location! The neighborhood was quiet, quaint, and showcased the best of Austin. Being only a few blocks from South Congress was perfect! We thoroughly enjoyed shopping the quirky stores, eating Amy's ice cream, and rockin' out at the Continental Club!
The Sunday House was appointed with every amenity one could need. It was clean and comfortable, with kitchen supplies, plenty of towels, a hair dryer and even a good iron. We particularly enjoyed the many books and magazines on Austin attractions. It was fun to peruse these before setting out on a day of sight-seeing.
Thanx Jimi! We'll be back!

We stayed four nights in "The Sunday House" at the beginning of March. It was a wonderful experience; fantastic location, (birds singing in the morning, walking distance to SoCo), clean, quiet and comfortable in an amazing neighbourhood. We walked to the Continental Club, the newly re-opened Gallery (an intimate bar with great music and neon art), several restaurants and outdoor venues. Driving to 6th Street was not a problem, found it quite easy to get around. Downtown we visited a few nightspots and art galleries. We also visited to Capital Buildings on "Art Day"; several performers to watch in the rotunda. Unfortunately, we were a few days too early to see the "bats"; perhaps next time. We highly recommend "The Sunday House" as "the" location when visiting Austin.
