| After a recent visit to this cozy villa, we have fallen in love with it! We arrived mid-morning to find freshly fallen snow everywhere. It was a nice surprise to see the well-built fence surrounding the cabin since we brought our dog. The wrap around deck was so nice and fully equipped with a new, steaming hot tub ready for us to jump in. We did just that. Wasting no time, we threw on our bathingsuits and sat in the hot tub all afternoon. It was like something out of a story book! Who would have thought that with just a couple hours drive from LA, that we'd be sitting in a hot tub with snow falling all around us just a few hours later? We stayed here all afternoon, then warmed up by the fire (plenty of firewood is provided) and set out on a trek around the neighborhood. Once again, it was something out of a book! Each house is uniquely different yet beautiful. It was just a couple miles walk and we were up on a mountain looking out over all of the other snowy mtns. So gorgeous, I don't think my camera ever got tired of taking pictures. For dinner, we went into Idyllwild to a restaurant with delicious food and we were back to the cabin for a few more hours of hot tub!! Although we were only able to spend one night (trust me, if our schedule would have allowed for it, we would have stayed a week!), we enjoyed every second of it and so did our dog!!! She loved being outside in the snow sniffing around and us not having to worry about her getting loose. I was very pleasantly surprised to find that the cabin showed no previous use by an animal of any sort....in fact, it was immaculate! No odors or left over dog hairs anywhere. Impressive to say the least!! I highly recommend this place to anyone, including pets...we will be back soon!! |

| This cabin was perfect for a romantic winter weekend. The property had everything you needed to be comfortable including a queen sized bed, heaters, fully stocked kitchen, washer and dryer and entertainment center. The jacuzzi was fantastic - during the day you have a view of the snow covered mountains/trees and at night a perfect view of the stars. The cabin was perfect for a couple and dog but may be a little tight for more people. I recommend this property. |

We went up here for a snowy weekend earlier this month, and it was beyond our expectations! Modern yet still cozy, we were surprised to find the kitchen and bathrooms more than well-stocked - so if you forgot it, chances are it will already be here.
(The outdoor hot tub alone is worth the trip.) We will DEFINITELY be back! |

| I have been teaching for the Idyllwild Arts summer program for nine years, and the MAX HOUSE Villa has certainly made this summer relaxing and comfortable. The deck and the hot tub are the icing on the cake of this charming cabin. I would highly recommend choosing the MAX HOUSE for your next vacation, summer or winter! |

| My wife and I and a friend stayed here during Idyllwild Arts' family camp week this past week (July 08). (We teach at the camp.) It's a beautiful house, with completely modern furnishings, a comfortable double bed -- and a great, new, top-of-the-line jacuzzi. It's not a huge house, and I wouldn't recommend it for a big family, but the three of us were very comfortable. (Our friend slept very comfortably on the couch.) It's definitely a space you want to hang out in. I'd say it's perfect for a couple trying to have a romantic get-away. (Or a writer trying to get some solitude/space to work.) It's also conveniently close to Humbert Park (Devil's Slide trail). It was also very nice having internet access and free long distance phone service. Enjoy! |
