Twelve of us, all adults, spent a wonderful week at Les Carmes in April. We could not have picked a more perfect location for touring the area. Everything we wanted to see was within an hour's drive. The house and grounds are located on a counrty lane behind private gates. The friut trees were just beginning to bloom. The house has lots of room and plenty of bathrooms. Having a laundry room with a large refrigerator, freezer, washer, and dryer was fabulous. The pool area is great. It would be a real asset for families in the summer. Les Carmes is a quiet, peaceful retreat where you can enjoy your vacation. Beverly was great to work with. She was always available by email to answer questions. Renting Les Carmes gave us a real feel of what life in France can be like. As an experienced traveler who has rented several properties in Europe, I would highly recommend Les Carmes for a delightful vacation. |

We stayed here for two weeks at the start of August 2008, first with my parents for a week, and then with friends from the UK. Even with two families and a gaggle of children the house never felt crowded. Long leisurely breakfasts and lunches on the shaded terrace were a wonderful start to every day. The kids loved the pool and we all thought L'Isle sur la Sorgue, Fountaine de Vaucluse, and the other towns nearby were fantastic. Highlights were the running of the bulls and the local fete in nearby Chateaurenard, and a glorious day kayaking down the Sorgue with time out for picnics and swimming in the freezing water. |

We had a wonderful two weeks here at the start of August 2008. The patio was a wonderful, cool, restful haven - it was such a pleasure to go into Tours or l'Isle sur la Sorgue for croissant in the morning and return for a long leisurely breakfast with people arriving and then going for a quick swim before returning to read the paper or chat. This was the ideal beginning to every day. We had a full house but never felt cramped. It was gorgeous and very easy to be in and enjoy. The pool was a perfect place to spend the hot afternoons of August, and being near to Avignon, Fontaine de Vaucluse, and all of the wonders of the Vaucluse made exploring great fun. Kayaking down the Sorgue and jumping off cliffs under the Pont du Gard were the highlights for our children. |

Thanks Beverly. We all had a wonderful time and the house was truly wonderful. The pool was such a great feature that our friends from Simiane came over twice just to enjoy that with us. I thought Beatrice and Jacques were extremely generous about our use of their things; furniture, books, china, linens, and even the computer, so it really felt like borrowing a friend's house and very very agreeable. I hope you have found everything in order and all the doves alive and well. You have been wonderful to deal with and I hope sometime we will be able to return. With all best wishes to you and the Dezeustres. Kyra

| We stayed at Les Carmes in Jun 2008, and thoroughly enjoyed it (and the fruit trees) – the house is beautiful and peaceful. We had many friends & family visit while we were there (we always had a full house) and yet it was still very comfortable. Everyone who joined us commented on the feeling of ‘getting away from it all‘when they came through the gates. We spent most of our time on the terrace or at the pool - it has mosaic tiles and a beautiful patio, good shade etc. The kids loved exploring the grounds. The interior is decorated with style and equipped with everything you need. We would love to come back. |

| The house was perfect - exactly as we hoped. The interior is spacious and very nicely decorated. The master bedroom and bath are wonderful. The living room opens up to the front terrace, where we ate virtually all of our meals for two weeks. The property has a large lawn, beautiful flowers and trees. The large pool was close but separate from the house, with a nice stone terrace and chairs for lounging. The tennis court, while needing surface maintenance, was perfect for playing with my children. It has a backboard and tile (terre cuit) surface. Overall, I would highly recommend this property. We had a fantastic time. |
