I wanted to thank you so much for the use of your cabin. Our weekend was perfect and your cabin was filled with much relaxation. Our 3 year old doesn't count high enough to count all the deer that we saw!! Being able to watch him play outside in the middle of the day was a great break from the 105 plus temperatures we were seeing in Las Vegas and being stuck in the house. Thanks again for making the process of renting from a private owner so easy for our first time. Karissa and Sean Guthrie

| What a lucky find for us when we found the ad for the Benson Retreat. Being familiar with the Cedar Mountain area, our preference was to find a place to stay in Swains Creek rather than the more well known and advertised Duck Creek. To us, the disadvantage of Duck Creek is the constant roar of ATV's. It is part of a large ATV trail system, along with the hustle and bustle that goes on there because of the hardware store, grocery store, restaurants, gas, lodging, a party atmosphere and all of that which are not relaxing to us. Upon arrival we were impressed to find this cabin is the real deal, there is no embellishment in the ad. We enjoyed every minute there as did our two dogs watching the deer walk through the property and with the cabin location the neighbors are not that close so the dogs could roam. I talked to Mrs. Benson several times with questions and to secure a reservation every time she made me feel like we knew each other and she was inviting us to her cabin for dinner. What a great all around experience. |

Our recent stay at Deer Crossing was wonderful! The cabin is both cozy and comfortable, and was equipped with everything we needed. The Bensons were very accommodating and gracious. The cabin's location is perfect for day trips to Cedar Breaks, Zion-Kolob and Bryce Canyon, and the back yard borders the Dixie National Forest which creates a secluded, quiet, and beautiful setting. We spent evenings reading and talking by the fireplace, and a few afternoons on the sunny deck. We're only sorry we never got a chance to fish at the local pond! We will tell others about the Benson's cabin, and hope to go there again sometime. We felt we really lucked out to find such a great place as Deer Crossing. |

| My wife and I brought our two sons, ages 3 and 5, to the Benson Retreat for 7 nights. In a word, the time spent there was awesome. It truly is a retreat that is quiet and restful. Even though there are neighbors on the street, it pretty much felt as if we had the area to ourselves. Also, it's centrally located for easily visiting a number of the canyons, national monuments, etc in the area (and it's much cooler than those places). Russ and Marianne are extremely eager to make sure that you have everything you need during your stay. For example, we had trouble receiving local stations on the satellite television service, a problem that they quickly resolved. Again, we had an enjoyable time and hope to return someday. |

Nice, comfortable cabin/home. Great location, close enough to Duck Creek Village, yet far enough away to feel like you were in the middle of Dixie Natl Forest. Very peaceful, deer everywhere. Wish we had more time to relax and enjoy the place, we did make good use of the grill, but did a lot of exploring this trip so that we don't have to next time up. My wife, four-legged son, canoe, and I threw an extra 700 miles on the truck in search of paddling water and rainbow trout. Navajo, Aspen Mirror and Duck Creek all close and convenient. Kolob Reservoir/coming down from the north, Pine Lake, and Yankee Meadow all worth the 1-1/2 to 2 hour drive. Mammoth Springs campground, Brian Head, and just 4x4ing around in the woods were quite enjoyable. Looking forward to the trip. Thanks again Marianne! |

| We had an amazing time at the Benson retreat. The cabin was very comfortable, we really enjoyed sitting in heated enclosed glass gazebo, playing board games, listening to music and watching it snow. The Bensons went above and beyond to accommodate all our wishes. We will defiantly return, hopefully in the summer. |

Where to begin? We had no idea The Benson retreat was so extraordinary. We went over the Christmas Holiday and I must say it was one of the best Christmas' we've ever had. Everything needed to cook was supplied; beds were warm and cozy with plenty of space for the 5 of us. My 3 children were wowed with how beautiful the cabin displayed itself. Each "secret" door (as my children called it) led to another part of the house- the master bedroom, the upstairs, the basement and the patio. It was amazing! Steps from the front door, we had all the snow we could ever imagine.
The Benson's were extremely helpful considering we did not know the area; and wonderful to work with in regards to setting up the reservation.
We are litterally extremely sad we couldn't stay longer. My kids keep asking when we're going to go back to the special place with the "secret doors."
Thank you Mr.and Mrs. Benson for allowing our family to make wonderful memories in your beautiful Deer Crossing Retreat! We're already making plans for next year! |

We just returned from a wonderful stay at the Benson Retreat, and we are already looking at the calander to plan our next visit. The cabin itself is spectacular and roomy, with tastful decorations and modern amenitites. We cannot forget to mention the great working fireplace. The pictures in the add do not begin to describe how spectacular this place is. The property is well kept and the lot itself is large and private, and backs right up to the national forest. There is plenty to do in the area, but we decided to simply enjoy the setting and all of the tranquility this property has to offer. We look forward to returning to the Benson retreat again and again. If you are looking for a place to stay in the Duck Creek area, look no further..you found it. We would be glad to share all of the photos we took with anyone who is going to stay at the Benson retreat.

| Our stay at Deer Crossing Retreat was easily the most relaxing family vacation we’ve ever had. The house felt more like a home than like a rental, and it seemed like we were the only people in the whole development. Our three young children loved hiking and riding their bikes through the woods just out the back door, and watching for deer (we saw lots!) and chipmunks. We visited Bryce Canyon and Cedar Breaks, explored caves, fished at Aspen Mirror Lake, went swimming at Navajo Lake and at Panguitch Lake, and did lots of little hikes. The Bensons’ house was the perfect home base for exploring this unbelievably beautiful area, and we can’t wait until our next vacation there. |

| This is an AWESOME property with everything provided to have a very comfortable and relaxing time. We especially enjoyed the bbq and sitting on the deck watching the many deer and birds. Went on several hikes, Bryce Canyon, fishing on Navajo Lake, and star gazing. Beautiful! Our only regret was that we didn't stay long enough! Can't wait to go back for a longer vacation. |

| The Benson retreat is a pine scented, deer abundant, hummingbird embellished, piece of heaven. For over a month, we had the pleasure of calling their lovely Deer Crossing cabin our 'home'. The Benson's are generous and accommodating owners and the cabin reflects their sensibilities... spacious, comfortable, with beautiful, peaceful surroundings. We hiked the numerous trails in the surrounding forest in the mornings and dined on the redwood deck in the evenings. In between we biked, hiked and swam in the numerous lakes, ponds, canyons and parks in the surrounding SW Utah area. We look forward to returning...soon! |
