My trip to New York was for business, I had several appointments at mid-town financial firms. After the crowds and noise, the apartment was a calming refuge and much better than a hotel room. This is a penthouse apartment, so you have your own key to activate the elevator and feel very secure. Moreover, the apartment is extremely quiet, no street sirens or roaring traffic. You still know you are in New York if you step outside through the French doors onto the private garden terrace with views to the north and south. The subway is directly around the corner of a short block, and there are many shops and stores in this neighborhood. The streets are tree lined and mid-day one sees lots of baby strollers, a good sign, I thought. Every feature of the apartment was very comfortable, and the internet connection was great. The whole rental process was no-hassle and very professional yet friendly. I hope to stay there again the next time I am in New York, and will be bringing my wife, I know she'll love it.

Well, my only hesitancy about adding a wonderfully positive comment is that this apartment might always be booked and we would never get to stay there again!
We loved the location, the floor plan, the quiet neighborhood, the easy accessibility to the subway, etc., etc. The best thing of all was the responsiveness of Amy from the very first email and her honest and ethical way of handling everything.
We felt all the way through that she was trustworthy and would do whatever was necessary to make our stay more pleasant.
I want to go back NOW! Hmmm, maybe we will! |

This was our 2nd stay at this fabulous apartment (we definitely would have been even more frequent visitors if it hadn't already been booked on our subsequent visits to NY). The apt. itself is so comfortable & homey, but with all of the modern technology that you need; the kitchen has everything needed for preparing meals "at home" if desired. The huge terrace (just redone, BTW) is great and very quiet & peaceful - we enjoyed afternoon cocktails & several delightful dinners al fresco!
The location is perfect, with a subway stop just around the corner; and the bus stop just up the street - it is an easy walk to either Central Park or Riverside Park.
There are plenty of restaurants in the area as well as markets offering already prepared foods.
Amy (the owner) is such a delight to deal with that we feel like we know her (and hopefully will get to meet her & Binghi some day!).
Thanks again, Amy; hope to be back there again before too long!

Amy's apartment fit our needs perfectly. It is a lovely space, tastefully decorated and feels like home. We could actually walk on each side of the bed unlike some apartments in Manhattan. The kitchen, while small, had dishes, pots, pans, good working appliances etc. so we could cook when we needed. My partner missed having more windows or a view; I was happy with the deck which gave me light, quiet space and access to outside without being in the middle of everything.
It was around the block to the subway and at an express stop, so trips to places that were miles away didn't take much time. We have T-Mobile and had a hard time using our phones, which was the biggest drawback.
Everything was arranged ahead of time and the housekeeper was waiting when we arrived, ensuring all our questions were answered. I'd happily stay here again when I need to be in Manhattan. |

We loved this apartment. It was clean, comfortable,
nicely furnished, and quiet and private. The bed
was comfortable, and there was a lot of natural
light in the apartment because of the french doors
leading out to the deck. The apartment is
conveniently located to to the subway, great
restaurants, and Riverside and Central Parks. We
will definitely come back again. |

| What an absolutely lovely, quiet & private apt.; and how wonderful that fabulous terrace is!! As former New Yorkers, we so very much miss living in Manhattan; but felt here that we were "New Yorkers" again! Amy's kindness & her hospitality are wonderful, and she has been so good at attention to just the little details that make a real difference in your experience. We definitely plan to make this a regular "home address" as often as we can in the future! Thanks again, Amy! |
