| Surreal. There is no other word that adequately conveys the magic of this beautiful home on the southern Pacific coast of Nicaragua. As the sun set upon our arrival, we walked through the lush tropical rainforest toward the house and the sound of small crabs scurrying on the rocks filled the air. When we stepped through the huge sliding doors from the lanai into the large downstairs sitting room, complete with surf board quiver, we knew we had found a true paradise. The beautifully stained and sealed concrete floors keep things cool, and the understated yet luxurious style of the place is perfectly suited to its environment. The well-appointed kitchen has everything you need…but you won’t need anything because the staff is always eager to prepare whatever your heart (or stomach) desires. When it came time to choose rooms, we opted for one of the two enclosed bedrooms downstairs, but were very tempted by the breathtaking open-air upstairs suite. Both of these master suites enjoy amazing ocean views and the sound of the Pacific crashing on the shores below. The house is top-notch coastal luxury, but it is just the start of the adventure that awaits you throughout your stay at Costa Paraiso Resort. The amazing staff will do everything possible to insure that the memories you create while in southern Nicaragua last a lifetime. Be sure to charter SANCHO, the 30-foot inboard fishing boat, to take you out into Salinas Bay and the Pacific for some amazing sport fishing with expert guidance. We were absolute novices who came away with more than some fish and a tan; we learned a new sport from a great crew. When your day’s adventure is complete, this great house will await you and the Costa Paraiso staff will cook the fresh fish you just caught for a soothing dinner in the open-air eating area. Trust us, as the sun sets on Salinas Bay and the lush Costa Rican national parkland across the bay, you will begin planning for your return before you even leave. |
