Dear Jon and Michele, Thank you so much for sharing your beautiful walla walla home with us! It was absolutely perfect for us and we appreciated you attention to the important details - comfy beds, nice sheets, fluffy towels! The location was great and although we never used it, we thought the wine fridge was a great touch. I hope to contact you again if we get another wine and walla walla weekend on the books. Thanks again.

We didn't have a dog with us but enjoyed the "W" anyway. The wine tasting was great. My son enjoyed the big TV. We appreciated the wireless since we travel with computer. The location was handy.

"I will never stay in a hotel again. This entire road trip we have stayed in VRBO's and your home is one of the most comfortable. Needless to say we enjoyed Walla Walla and the blue mountains. If we stay any longer, will turn into Wino's."

Hello Jon and Michele:
We had a great time in Walla Walla and enjoyed the "W" on Walnut. It worked out well for us. We didn't make it to Ensemble, but went to quite a few wineries and tasted (and bought) some great wine. We also had dinner at Whitehouse Crawford which was very good.
Here's the best part: I graduated from Whitman way back when. I stay in infrequent touch with one of my college roommates who lives in New York. We talk or visit every two or three years. Well, she emailed me while we were in Walla Walla that she was coming to WW the next day with her daughter to look at Whitman!. So, we got together and had a great visit. If we had tried to plan that, it would have never happened. Thanks for renting us your cute and comfortable house.

We recently returned from our second stay at the W on Walnut and it was just as wonderful as the first time. Thank you so much for providing a clean, welcoming home away from home to us and our two little dogs. As expected, we had an amazing time. It is crazy how fast the area is changing and we would strongly encourage others to visit Walla Walla and to enhance their visit by staying at the W on Walnut. Despite a few days of rain, we enjoyed a ton of great wines, good food and warm hospitality. Thank you again....we look forward to our next stay!

"W" Walnut is such an adorable little house! We love the wine theme going and thank you so much for the complimentary surprise wine bottle! This was perfect for us and our little 2 yr daughter, Ayanna. She loved watching all the neighborhood cats and your vast collection of Disney movies. We've loved Walla Walla so far! What a treasure! The wine tasting has gone great and we're trying to decide on a great dinner spot - 26 Brix or Saffron?! We can't wait to return for a longer than 1.5 day vacation. Thank you so much Jon & Michele! We've loved living in this cute, super well equipped house! Sept 8, 2008

W = Wonderful Friends laughed at us when we told them we were spending the holiday weekend in Walla Walla. They have no idea what they are missing! We had nice warm sunshine all weekend. Had a great time at the county fair. Visited the most beautiful wineries, Basel Cellars is a must see. 3 Rivers is really nice too. All of the vineyards were dripping with grapes. Great photos. The downtown shops are all dog friendly-Gucci, our Maltese was welcome everywhere. It was fun having her with us. Thank you for your pet friendly hospitality!! Thank you!

We enjoyed our stay in Walla Walla. Great wine, wonderful restaurants and a charming downtown. While the "W" is an older and modest home, it is very clean and the best equipped home we have rented on VRBO. We really appreciated the computer, the wine fridge, as well stocked kitchen (including spices, oils, tea etc.)and your wine tasting itineraries, which saved us planning time. Beds and central location were also super. Overall, your home is great value.

I really enjoyed staying at the "W" on Walnut. It was a great base for our girls’ weekend. I would recommend it to anyone who wanted a home base.
We visited so many wineries. I would definitely recommend Three Rivers Winery. They have great wine, great patio for a picnic and you can even play three holes of golf if you want. There are great wineries in the airport area that are also worth checking out. Be prepared to by easily three times the amount of wine you think you will buy. We made it to many of the suggested wineries in addition to a few others that we wanted to see.
Saffron is a restaurant that I would highly recommend. (Yummy all around.) If you can make it to the farmer’s market on the weekend, have a sweet onion sausage. You cannot go wrong with that. Be sure to get it on Saturday, as we didn’t see them on Sunday.
Back to the “W”… the movie selection was great and I am really glad that I finally was able to see Sideways. Of course, being able to check my email was also a plus… It was nice just to have a place to hang out if we wanted. It is centrally located, so it was easy to go anywhere you wanted.
The bed was a little soft for me, but that is the only negative I could think of. I can’t wait to come back again and see more, do more and drink more. Viva la W!

So glad to hear you had a wonderful time. We have had many guests comment on how great the beds are (they are Westin Heavenly Beds), but I guess that is why their are so many options out there. We look forward to your return to "the W on Walnut". Cheers!

We traveled down for our annual Onionman Triathlon race and were delighted to find such a comfortable, dog-friendly place to land. We settled in quickly enjoying a post race glass of wine while listening to the crickets and enjoying the warm Walla Walla evening. Thank you for the attention to detail that makes the Walla Walla "W" feel so welcoming. we look forward to next years trip to this lovely corner of the world and place to stay.

We have used this little house as our home away from home during our son's senior year at Whitman. We relaxed here before and after his exciting soccer matches, spent time with him and his friends, and lastly had a fabulous graduation weekend. Made much more enjoyable by having room to spread out for all including champahne (our lab). We never had time to explore the wineries dut to our other commitments- but perhaps in the years to come we can visit again and see what Walla Walla has to offer in addition to downtown and Whitman.
Thanks for the use of your Walla Walla home,

I had a great time at your cute yellow house on the corner. So much better than staying at a lame hotel. The bed was super comfortable. And so glad you had a hair dryer. Thanks. I will definitely rent again, and maybe next time for actual wine tasting. Did not get a chance to hit the wineries at all.

Dear Jon and Michele, We had a lovely time in your house this week. Many thanks. It was just what we needed to have a "home base" for our wine wanderings. One really impressive thing we noted was how exceptionally clean it was and how well equiped the kitchen was. There was everything anyone could need...and a lot more. We tried to leave it exactly as we found it. We walked around the neighborhood and everyone was very friendly. We used your suggestion list to see a few of the many wineries in the area. We especially loved the wine at Pepperbridge and even signed up to be members of their wine club. So you'll probably be hearing from us again to rent your home.

Hi Jon and Michele, Thank you again for a wonderful stay at the W last month. The two nights that we spent there were very enjoyable, restful and just what was needed around the busy holidays. The house is terrific...loved the beds and felt at home immediately...Bob and Riley (our two lil 4 legged ones) say thank you again too...they loved the yard and felt very welcome. We took long walks around the neighborhood, the parks and the town and always felt safe. Thanks too for all of your winery and restaurant recommendations. Your place is terrific and we never want to stay in a Walla Walla Hotel again! We are looking forward to another visit to Walla Walla and staying at the W hopefully in early Spring.

We had such a wonderful New Years Eve at the "W" in Walla Walla! The house is so cute and super comfortable - much better than staying in an hotel. I was very impressed with the all the information on Walla Walla we found in the house - restaurant and wine tour reccomendations that were very helpful. The bed was also super comfy :) We ate at Saffron the first night and Whitehouse Crawford on New Years Eve. Both excellent choices! The house is in a perfect location close to downtown - we will definitely be back in the spring when we can walk to all the fun restaurants and bars. Thanks again Jon and Michele!

Hi Jon & Michele-
Thanks again for providing such a wonderful retreat in Walla Walla. We visited the following wineries: Walla Walla Vintners, Reininger, L’Ecole, Basel Cellars, Dunham, Isenhower and Va Piano. This was our first time visiting Dunham, Isenhower and Va Piano, and all were great. As for dining, we ate at the Marcus Whitman (Thanksgiving buffet dinner), Whitehouse Crawford and T. Maccarone’s. All were excellent. We also enjoyed running in the Mill Creek Recreation Area, which has a number of trails and pathways out by the community college.
Thank you for refunding the deposit, and for opening your homes to dogs...Shadow is a big part of our family and we hate to leave her home.
Regards,
Justin

The W on Walnut is a great alternative to hotel chains. It was nice to have a kitchen, laundry and computer available for our use. It was much nicer staying here than at a hotel, and had all the amenities. The location is ideal for a walk to dinner downtown or to wine taste. I would highly recommend the W on Walnut!

Trevor and I had a great time here in Walla Walla. This house is perfect....great location, plenty of room and awesome beds, as I think I slept better here than at home, (it has really good sheets) and the towels are so soft. Your attention to detail is awesome.
Most of our time spent here was spent wine tasting. Some of our favorites were DaMa, Dusted Valley, Saviah, 7 Hills, Cougar Crest, Woodward Canyon, JLC and Tertulia. Also while here we had facials and pedicures at City Slickers Salon...that was great after a day of winetasting. We ate at Saffron, Creektown Cafe, and T Macaronies, all had fabulous food.

We had a wonderful visit to Walla Walla- and "The W" was an important part of our stay. This is a cute house that has been decorated perfectly!!! Love the colors and bedding choices. (Smile) Rather than our usual stuffy hotel room- we got to feel more at home- greatly appreciated. The home atmosphere made it much easier to travel with our dogs, an important part of our family. Thanks Jon and Michele- we look forward to staying again.
