I wanted to write you a note and personally say “thank you” for providing me and my family a wonderful place to stay while on our visit to Seattle. I did not get a chance to write a note in the book on the table at the house, so I thought I’d send you an email.
The house was fantastic! We really enjoyed having all the space to move around in, and we were definitely cozy during our stay. I especially loved being able to grill (the weather was ok enough for us to grill some fresh seafood from Pike Place Market one night and some steaks another night). The fireplace was also quite nice, and we used it every night during our stay.
We found the neighborhood to be very quiet, and we ran into some friendly neighbors during our daily walks. We really liked the fact that the house was very close to a lot of things, especially the Safeway! We practically lived at the grocery store. My wife and I visited Bakery Nouveau almost every day for the coffee and pastries. We also ate at Jak’s twice (the steaks were so good that I had to have another one…I know you’re vegetarian, but MAN those were some good steaks!). West 5 was also a nice little place. We went there for drinks one night and for lunch another day.
Anyway, we definitely enjoyed our stay at the cottage and wanted you to know that we will most DEFINITELY be staying there again on our next visit. We plan to make it a tradition of spending the week of Thanksgiving there while visiting my daughter. And we will recommend the house to friends who might be heading that way for a vacation.

This wonderful cottage was exacty as advertised except better. It was so great to have so many things stocked like condiments, tea and coffee and filters, washing soap etc. We even read a couple of your books and worked a puzzle (no missing pieces). If we ever get to Seattle again to see our granddaughter and great-grandaughter we would love to stay here again.

| My husband and I came to Seattle with our daughter and her family to attend a wedding and we arrived early to have some family vacation time. What a wonderful "home base" the Fauntleroy Cottage was! It was clean and comfortable and close to everywhere we wanted to go. So much better than a hotel when you have a family. Grandma and Grandpa enjoyed the lower level and the privacy it afforded us. Great house! |
