| We just got back from Isla Mujeres, celebrating our 25th Anniversary. We wanted something really special for this occasion. After spending a fantastic week I would highly recommend a visit to Isla and would highly recommend using Rod and Renee's condo. Everything was perfect. Rod is so helpful with everything. The condo is nicely decorated and really makes you feel like you are home. They have everything you need for your perfect getaway. The customer service is top notch. The people at Ixchel are wonderful and exceed your every need. Just when you think that is enough, you get a picture perfect sunset from the balcony or beach every afternoon to finish your perfect day! We can't wait to go back! |

| I just wanted to leave a comment on this guest book and say thanks and to highly recommend this condo as well as the island of Isla Mujeres to everyone. This place was amazing. I have been fortunate to travel a lot and I have honestly never been to a better island and had a better experience. I have been to almost every Caribbean island and been to Mexico well over 10 different times. This experience was different than any other vacation that I have ever been on. The island and the people were wonderful. There is so much to do and see and the island has an incredible charm to it that you will never forget. I very rarely find somewhere that I would like to visit again but this is one rare exception. I will be coming back soon and often. I love scuba diving and try and dive at least once a year and the diving there on the island was incredible. There were many different dive sites and the people were so accommodating. There were so many other things to do on the island as well. But by far the thing that will bring me back is the charm of the island and the people. The island is small enough that you really get a chance to meet the locals and they remember you and do everything that they can to make sure you are happy. We felt like and were treated like celebrities while we were there. I also have to say the condo was amazing and the people who worked there were first class and went out of their way to make sure that we were happy. The other thing that we loved is the owner of the condo, Rod emailed us before hand and gave us many suggestions about the island and a number of people to talk to help set up vacation. He helped us arrange round trip travel from the airport as well as people to see once we got down there to help with scuba and all the other activities that we wanted to do. His hook-up’s were great and really helped us out. Everyone knew him and it made us comfortable that we were being well taken care of. I loved the island and the condo it was an amazing vacation and one that I will be going on again very soon. |

| Rod- Thanks for the great customer service! Everything went very smoothly from the time we reserved the condo thru checkout. The condo exceeded our expectations, the view from the large balcony was beautiful and the location couldn't get any better. The staff at Ixchel were very friendly and helpful. They arranged golfcarts, taxi's and dinner reservations at Casa Rolandi. Of all the places we've stayed on Isla Mujeres we've found Ixchel to be the most comfortable and the location just can't be beat. Thanks for making it so easy! We'll definitely stay here again. |

my family and i have been vacationing on isla for the past 12 years. we have stayed at almost all the hotels and rented a couple of homes around the island. we have never been as comfortable with our choice as this last time.
the location is perfect, you can not beat the location on the north beach or downtown. it was great not having to take a taxi for a quick ride anywhere because we were where we wanted to be. it was a relaxing nine days and we hope to be able to return soon.
the condo is well equipped and very comfortable. we enjoyed a few meals on the balcony/terrace and had a our morning coffee with muffins from 'el super' almost daily. the staff is great and left these animal figures made from towels for our children. it was our most relaxing vacation to date. rod is great and was able to make all accomodations immediately. it was so much easier dealing directly with owner rather than having to go through an agency or agent.
rod and family have left some items to make stay more comfortable, wife enjoyed romantic comedy dvd's on nice big plasma in living room, kids liked bushwacked and elf as well, i enjoyed igloo cooler that rod left for very cold beers on the beach and we all enjoyed the ample space and responsive a/c. thanks familia dixon! |

We stayed in Rod and Renee's condo Ixchel #406 for 4 nights and are already planning for a return visit. From the very beginning stages of our travel planning for Isla, Rod was so very helpful. He promptly answered my numerous email questions and his tips for Isla sightseeing and restaurants were invaluable. We particularly enjoyed the French Bistro and Elements of the Island for breakfast. Ixchel #406 has everything you need for a great stay on Isla and is furnished beautifully. Rod even provides an ice chest which we took on our golf cart tour around the island. The staff at the front desk is very helpful and friendly, too, as were all of the local people we met on Isla. Playa Norte in front of the condo is undoubtedly the best beach on the island and so convenient. It was hard to tear ourselves away from the beach to do much sightseeing but we managed a little. The food and drink service at the beach is very good and the prices were reasonable we thought. All in all, we had a wonderful time on Isla and highly recommend Rod and Renee's condo.

| My three children (ages 20, 17, and 14) and I spent June 22-30 in Rod's beautiful condo, then visited an all-inclusive in Akumal for 3 nights. We all agree we should have stayed on Isla! I had worried my kids might be bored on the island which is why I booked the other place also, but I was mistaken. We didn't want to leave! Isla is so charming, gorgeous, and the food is wonderful(Don Chepo's had the best ceviche in our opinion, at very reasonable prices). Not a bad meal anywhere, and the people there are so sweet and helpful. Rod's tips were invaluable, and I appreciate his help prior to our visit. His condo is in a perfect location, the concierge was SO helpful and kind, and housekeeping did a great job, even washed the dishes each day! We will definitely visit again. Thanks, Rod! |

| We just got back from a week in Rod & Renee's beautiful condo. The location was perfect -- close to restaurants and activities. The view was incredible and it was nice to have floor to ceiling windows in the living and bedrooms. The staff were hugely helpful and the property was immaculate. We met lots of great people on the island and got some beautiful hand blown glass to bring home. We will definitely return next year! |

| Rod helped me book room #302 as his suite was booked but he was absolutely fabulous to deal with! He provided lots of info on where to eat/what to do on the island & we made use of all of the tips! Our room was VERY clean, totally safe and even though we had the 1 br with just 2 double beds, it was exactly what we needed after a long day on the beach or walking around town. After our mid-evening nap we would hit downtown for a great evening of entertainment on the streets. Isla Mujeres stole our hearts and we will be back soon! |

The toughest part about Ixchel and Isla Mujeres is being able to narrow down my review into a paragraph or two. I was on Isla Mujeres 6 yrs ago for the day and this year I was lucky enough to stay for 8 nights. It was truly a pleasure! We had such an awesome time on the Island and our accomodations at Ixchel. Myself, my husband and my 5 yr old son spent 8 wonderful nights at Rods Condo. It worked out absolutely perfect. It was very relaxing with clean and beautiful accomodations. We really felt like home at the end of the week and didn't want to leave. White powdery beach steps away or fun times in the pool with my son, he thought it was just fabulous! We started the day with breakfast on the balcony watching the Sunrise every morning and a sunset to end our day of playing in the clear blue water and white sand. The room was very comfortable and we really couldn't have asked for anything better. Isla Mujeres had everything we needed and we especially loved the small Island charm, I must mention we felt very safe there as well. It had a perfect balance of beach time,quaint streets and shops as well as places to eat that were more than we could try in 8 days. I think one of the best 30 pesos spent was the entry fee for our son to the turtle farm - a must for kids! We tried almost everything Rod/the owner recommended on his helful list and it worked out perfectly. I have done a lot of travelling and I wouldn't hesitate to go back to Isla Mujeres again and to stay at Ixchel, you can't beat the Carribean side of Mexico.We felt very safe, had clean accomodations with everything we needed, helpful tips from Rod, the warm sun - It doesn't get much better. We can't wait to go back.I highly recommed Tix n Chix for grilled fish - mmm!We also made some fabulous chorizo nachos on the little electric grill outside which cost us about $6 candian.I could go on and on but I think you get the idea.

Just spent a week starting April 11th at Rod's condo. Great staff, very accomodating. Wonderful and comfortable unit. Would avoid Comono and walk the extra block into town for many better and cheaper options. Had pretty good scuba, enjoyed the beach very much, and was impressed by the truly laid back nature of Isla.
For a different experience, try the mole and chile rellenos at La Lomita (a few blocks south past town) for some of the best "local" food.

| My family just returned from Isla Mujeres, and we are already planning a return trip. Ixchel Condos really exceeded expectations; the staff is attentive and friendly. The beach is really the best on the island for kids, not rocky with rough waves like much of the island. The water is clear and blue with the most beautiful sand according to my 9-year old daughter. (When we go to the beach here in SC, I'm so used to lugging chairs and coolers, and then washing towels. At Ixchel, everything is there - chairs, umbrellas, clean towels, and Comono Cafe is really reasonable so we just walked down and enjoyed.) Rod Dixon was instrumental in ensuring that the trip was enjoyable and hassle-free. He reserved the room, provided useful tips, answered questions promptly, and even checked on us while we were there. |

| My family and I (husband and 3 yr old daughter) just returned from staying here for the second year in a row! We absolutely love the place! We stayed in a ground floor unit both times. We loved that we were only 10 steps away from the pool and bar especially when you have a child who needs something from the room. We also had our own patio to hang out on and relax but near the pool. The beach is also very nice. Rod is extremely helpful and will get the type of unit you are looking for. Ixchel 1 is very clean and can provide you anything you need. We did not cook that much but loved having the kitchen and refrigerator. Restaurants on the main street are just a block away. Easy walk especially on the newly paved streets on ISLA. If want a relaxing, stress free vacation this is the place! Rod is great at answering any questions you have or providing suggestions from dinner to transportation. Thanks Rod! |

| Ixchel Phase 1 was a very good value, excellent rooms, excellent staff, pool, and excellent beach We booked through Rod Dixon and would highly recommend him. He was a real pleasure to deal with and provided a lot of useful information. I probably emailed him ten times and he always gave me prompt accurate answers. He even answered my phone calls. I heard others say this was a little pricy, but by far this was the best value on Isla Mujeres, if you wanted to be on the beach. Our only regret was that we waited too long to book, and had to stay somewhere else for a couple of nights, There was no comparison. This was the best, and Rod made sure eveything went fine. He also gave us very good recommendations for Isla Mujeres, which is a real jewel. You have to rent a golf cart at least for a day. The dinners on Hidalgo are wonderful, and very reasonable, especially for fresh fish. We would definitely go back and rent from Rod. |

| 2/27/09 - We had a fabuous time in Isla, and the condo 406 - was great! We had the living room with the fold out couch and the King bedroom. We couldn't have gotten a nicer place. Everything we wanted was in our room and the deck furniture was great.(I think the best!) We will definitely go back! Rod was very helpful and easy to rent from! |

| My husband and I just returned from a week on Isla and have only positive things to say about the condos at Ixchel, the beautiful island, the friendly people that live there, and the excellent assistance and guidance we received from Rod Dixon. The condos are extremely nice with an outstanding location right on a spectacular sandy beach but also just a block from many excellent resturants and shops. The pool was sunny and the staff was kind and helpful. Our most difficult decisions of the day had to do with which bathing suit to wear and if we wanted to eat fish tacos and guacamole reclining on a chaise, upright in a chair, on a bar swing under a palapa, etc. We thoroughly enjoyed touring the island and all of Rod's suggestions were a hit. We got the pleasure of meeting Rod and we will certainly be calling him the next time that we go as well as directing everyone we know to also take advantage of his help. |

We stayed at this condo 1/4-1/14/09. This unit was perfect for 6-8 people. Being on the 4th floor, it has a great view of the ocean and beach. Plenty of room to relax and really enjoyed the large balcony. This condo is on the beach and close to everything...dining, and shops, 5min walk. We have always stayed at all-inclusive resorts but this vacation had much more freedom and variety, it was like we lived there! Rod was instramental in directing and advising us and even arranging various activities for us. He has been there a long time and will be as much help as you want him to be.
The beach is as nice as I've been to and you can walk out very far, unlike some areas of Mexico that have been damaged by the hurricane a few years ago. There is also a nice pool area. You will not be dissapointed, Enjoy!!! |

| We stayed at Ixchel 2/02-2/13/09. This was our second trip to Isla Mujeres (we stayed at another hotel last time). Our first trip was fun, but(even with our guidebook) we felt a little adrift. The tips (regarding local transportation, activities and restaurants) we were given by Rod combined with friendly and professional staff at Ixchel made this trip absolutely amazing!! We highly recommend Ixchel for its wonderful rooms, great staff and unbeatable location. If you stay at Rod's condo, or book another Ixchel condo with Rod's help, you won't be disappointed. Rod is a wealth of Isla Mujeres knowledge and an invaluable resource for anyone traveling to Isla. |

| My family took our mom to Isla Mujeres for her 80th birthday. What a great trip. None of us had ever been to IM before. We were looking for a Mexico vacation with the beautiful warm waters but not the large resorts or Disney Land Cancun. We found it! IM is the place to go and Rod Dixon set up several condos in Ixchel so all of us could be on the same floor. Ixchel has the best beach and all the units have a great view. We rented golf carts, enjoyed the great restaurants and did a dive trip with Gilberto at Cavey Dive Center. We are somewhat beginner divers and Gilberto was great. He knows English very well. Rod and I chatted many times. He is very friendly and helpful. We will be back! |

We stayed at Ixchel from Jan. 11-17th 2009 in Condo units 506 & 410. Rod was very helpful & informative with everything from booking our condo & giving us information on great places to eat & things to do on the island.
Our Condo was everything & more that Rod said it would be. It had beautiful ocean views with spacious balconies & the units were supplied with everything you needed. The staff was also very helpful with anything we needed and they were always available.
We really enjoyed touring the Island on the golf carts & seeing the sites that Rod recommended. We got to meet Rod in person & we would recommend to anyone planning a trip to call & book with him.

We had a great family vacation at Ixchel condos.
We stayed in rooms 403/404 and it was so nice to
have the extra room for us and our two boys ages
13 and 3 1/2. Even though we never cooked it was
nice to have the fridge and microwave to heat up
leftovers from our meals out. Rod was so helpful
in getting us set up even though he wasn't there. It
was wonderful to have all the helpful tips
beforehand. The condos are on North beach and
really nice because if you like everything is right
there or you walk through town which is minutes
away. We met a lot of really nice people and had a
great stay. The condo rooms were really clean and
the maids were always right there to clean and not
stay too long so we could be in and out. Our kids
loved it and the beach was so much fun. We will
definitely be back. |

| We stayed at Ixchel condos #205 and 206 Jan. 2 to 7, 2009, since Rod and his family were going to be staying in theirs. We loved our Ixchel condo; it was clean, huge, and lovely, with great balcony views and helpful staff. The beach was gorgeous and the pool and pool bar were very nice. The location is perfect--right on the beach, but right near the town as well. We loved Isla Mujeres; we could walk everywhere--to shops, restaurants, the zocalo(square), and enjoy the culture of this island and its friendly people. We snorkeled and fished, swam and beach-walked, rented golf carts and explored the island, relaxed in the sun, and ate delicious, inexpensive local food. And, Rod was so helpful, from sending us pictures of the condo, to helping us with van and ferry plans, to recommending delicious restaurants, to setting us up with a fishing and snorkeling trip. We would strongly recommend Ixchel condos, and will definitely return. |

My family (myself, husband and 6 yr old daughter)had a fantastic time and our accommodations far exceeded our expectations. Rod was staying in his own suite during our stay but he bent over backwards to find us another one that met our picky requirements (I wanted a home-y decor like Rod's place). He emailed us many additional photos of different suites and sent us numerous emails with travel tips, all extremely helpful. The whole complex (we stayed in Phase one) was immaculate, the setting, facilities and location were beyond perfection. We have nothing but good things to say about the whole experience.

| We spent a few days at Ixchel Phase 2 building in early December 2008. Although we did not stay in Rod's unit, we booked or stay through him. We stayed in unit 410, one of the beachfront units. Rod was EXTREMELY helpful, and put up with multiple conversations and questions before we booked our stay. He followed up with very helpful tips on the island, and in general gave an amount of effort and attention that was definitely disproportionate to our short stay....The hotel is new, very clean, and very well built. The units are huge, and the view is amazing. The balcony alone is worth the stay. We stayed on an end unit, but I really don;t think that was necessary after being there. The side units get almost as nice of a view (minus the wraparound) becasue the building is angled along the beach. The folks at the front desk were attentive and polite. The location is great - right on Playa Norte, beautiful sunset view, and at the top of Hidalgo St...If you go to Isla Mujeres, stay at Ixchel, and make sure you book it through Rod Dixon. - Brian from Waltham, MA |

Rod-This was our dream vacation. And finding the

We spent 11 days at Ixchel this March for spring
break with our kids 12 and 8. The condo was new,
clean, modern, and the perfect size for the four of
us. We were on the fourth floor with a beautiful
view of the pool, beach, and ocean. We had
everything in the condo which we needed, and
some things we didn't...like 3 tv's. Ixchel's staff was
friendly and helpful. We loved hanging by the
beach and swimming in the ocean. The water was
so warm and clean it was like a giant pool. The
pool was a nice break from the sand. Be SURE to
meet Pablo at the snack bar by the pool and try one
of his Margaritas. Even though we had the means
to cook our own meals we never did, there are way
too many good restaurants to try. We decided that
the Isla Mujeres experience consists of eating,
going for a walk, lying in the sun, reading, eating,
swimming, lying in the sun, reading, eating, and
sleeping. It was an absolutely perfect vacation and
we will definitely visit again. If you have any
questions about the condos or the Isla be sure to
ask Rod, he knows everything!!! |

| Met Rod via the VRBO Website. Needed a fun spot for 3 boys ages 16-14-10 and my wife. Committing to a condo on a "blind" basis added some apprehension - but all concerns were erased within 5 minutes of seeing the property and grounds. Beautiful location and lots of fun activities on the island. If you want a "commercial" vacation including Arby's, Subway and Pizza Hut - this may not be right for you. If you want an authentic Mexican Vacation in a great location that's easy to get to, then you really can't go wrong here. Rod is the "real deal" and genuine. Thanks for a great family memory. |

Our eight days on Isla were better than I imagined. Thank you Rod for finding the unit we stayed in. We enjoyed the ground floor location of the unit next to the pool and close to the beach. The views from the bedroom were phenomenal. We appreciated the full kitchen and the shower was beautiful.
We enjoyed relaxing in the lounge chairs along the beach and we especially enjoyed the fine white sand of the beach and the turquoise waters of the Bay. Everyday I made it a point to get into the Bay for a refreshing dip with the waves. The air and water temperature were almost the same. Then we went into the pool to finish off the day.
We found it so easy to walk around Isla. All of the stores and restaurants are within easy walking distance from the condo. We enjoyed the variety of restaurants that were available to us. It was amazing to us to meet and talk to so many people from the Midwest especially from our home state, Wisconsin. After the winter we have had, it was wonderful to escape to this island paradise.

| Ixchel condos (especially phase 1) are located on the best beach in Isla--we drove all over the island and were so glad we were here. The condos are pretty much all the same (some have nicer furnishings than others) and are a good size. All have views of the ocean and are walking distance to the cute little town where there are lots of restaurants, music and shops. Rod (this owner)helped us find 2 other condos since his was full. He gave us a lot of good information on transportation, food, etc. He is hooked up with other owners and can find you a condo. So call him! You won't be sorry. |

| Just returned from our first stay on Isla Mujeres and #406 Ixchel. Wow is all I can say. We were absolutely blown away as it far exceeded our expectations. We just wanted to say thank you to the Rod for making this a hassle free, easy and relaxing vacation. We will return (hopefully sooner, rather than later!) Thanks again! |

| Ixchel is a wonderful place to stay as it is located right on Playa Norte and only a few minutes walk from restaurants and shopping. The beach is as beautiful as any we've been to. While we were not able to stay in this unit as it was already rented, Rod was extremely helpful in arranging for us to stay upstairs in the Penthouse unit. He also provided us with invaluable information on arranging for ground transportation, restaurants, golf cart rental etc. The 2 bdr unit was spacious for the 5 of us and the accomodations are high quality with beautiful kitchens and bathrooms. There is a wide variety of food on the island and it's reasonably priced. We will definitely be back again! |

| We were a large group of friends in Isla for a wedding in early Dec., and were happily accommodated in this wonderful condo. We were very comfortable, had wonderful warm service on every level during our stay. Staff went our of their way to make sure we were well cared for. I recommed this property to anyone wanting a relaxing, comfortable vacation in a beautiful spot. Rod Dixon, thanks so much. |

| PERFECT!The best condo and location on Isla Mujeres. Unit incl.everything you need for a perfect island vacation.Great staff, pool, bar and VIEWS. Rod, the owner, personally arranged 10 units for my family and friends to stay at Ixchel for my daughter's wedding 12/7/07. The wedding was a great success with Rod's incredible efforts. Do not book anywhere else! |

| Wow! Christmas on Isla at Ixchel in Rod's condo...the only way to go. Great for our family of four with older children having their own room. Fishing was awesome with Capt. Michael LeFlies JAX sport fishing. I can't wait to go back with family and friends. |

| We had a great stay here. The location is what makes this place. Great view of the best beach on the island, three minute walk to Hidalgo Street and it's many restaurants and bars. Four of us are again staying in this unit again this January. We don't use the kitchen, but if interested it has a full sized fridge, cook top, but no oven. I think the maid comes twice during a week long stay. If it bothers you to make your own bed, then you can pay extra for daily service. Nice new condo, great pool with the all important small bar, great location and beach. |

| We loved our week here, except the ride home. Ixchel is the prime spot on the island. Brand new rooms with all the amenities and the best beach. Within walking to great food and night life. Everyone is so friendly! Can't wait to return. |

| Imagine entering into a paradise that you only dreamt about. Once you walk down the road to the condo, you know you have arrived. The rooms are beautiful, comfortable and modern. You can eat out without breaking the wallet; or stroll to the local store, purchase fresh food, and enjoy meals in a home setting. The pool and beach are amazing, without the tourist traps. The selection of dining is endless, from fantastic breakfasts, to chips and salsa, to good 'ol American food in a sports atmosphere. The people are simple, but the experience is priceless. We go back and suggest it to everyone we know. My favorite part, I step out onto the balcony of the master suite, and watch the sunset. I am swept away each time at the beauty of the area, the realness of God, and the freedom we have to enjoy it all. |

| This condo had all the accomadations you would be looking for. The view from the balcony was amazing, the beaches were so beautiful. Our family had a wonderful vacation. We would go back anytime. Truly an unforgetable destination!!! |
