This was a great stay. The weather was supposed to be terrible but our last day was sunny and overcast and we all got sun-burned. Use sunscreen even in cloudy weather!! Ha Ha.
The condo is the cutest little place and is very cozy! We recommend eating at The Oyster House, is great food. Pirates Golf and the Alabama Gulf Coast Zoo looks rinky-dink but was so awesome! Both are on Miracle Strip in Gulf Shores. We had a wonderful stay!

We had a great time visiting my brother & his family. The place is beautiful, very welcoming & comfortable! Got some great sun, enjoyed a few rounds at the tiki bar, and my nephew loved the pool! We would love to come back again and have already started planning our next trip!

After spending 60 years of year round Northern Michigan weather we decided to head South! Too much snow and cold weather! This place has exceeded our expectations - WE LOVE IT HERE!!!
We loved the near constant sunshine, beautiful beaches, friendly people, fresh shrimp, oysters & tomatoes, our new friends at the tiki bar & Amvets Post #12, the Naval Air Museum, Fort Barrancas, Joe Patti's and NO SNOW!
Three months have flown by, time to head north (unfortunately it is STILL snowing at home!) Hope we can get through our driveway!
This place feels like home. We hope we can come back next winter.
Thanks Mark & Lisa for your hospitality. Se ya next January.

Without planning it - We've stayed here on the exact weekend as last year. (I only realized it by reading this guest log.) We really enjoy our visits and always look forward to returning. We had a wonderful time at your little piece of heaven. Thanks for all the tips on restaurants and places of interest. We watched the Blue Angel practice Tuesday from the front porch.
Johnson Beach is one of the most pristine beaches we have ever seen.
If anyone wants to go fishing (intercoastal - it was too rough on the "high" seas) ask for Rex at Zeke's - great personality & very knowledgeable. Our favorite restaurant was The Oyster Bar.
We hope to come back again!

It was nice to have met you at the Purple Parrot. I appreciate you being there to help us (and the other guests) get settled in as we arrived at the same time. We found everything in your place to be very clean and accomodating. One of the things I liked about your write-up for your property was the attention to detail for everything from directions to the property to local attractions / dining. You did it right and obviously spent some time on it. The whole complex, especially the two pools, made it a fun place to be. We had a great time. The keyless entry was a handy thing to have.

Thanks Mark & Lisa. We enjoyed our stay in your cottage very much. It is beautiful. I love the parrots and palm trees!
We golfed, we shopped, we sat on the beach, visited the Naval Air Museum and had a few beers around the pool.
We enjoyed our stay so much we may return, but a little later in the season when the weather is a little warmer.
The drive down (2,508km) was well worth it. Unfortunately we are not close enough to drop in for a weekend.

We had a great time. Our 1st anniversary was a very good one & I'm glad we had a nice place to celebrate. The weather was great but the lagoon pool was cold. We enjoyed the indoor pool though. (Even the baby enjoyed it. He kicked the whole time instead of just at night. Go figure.) We would love to come back after the baby is born & big enough to play. Thanks for such a fun & family friendly place.

We had a great time and enjoyed the use of your condo. Your decor is very comfortable and we enjoyed the large outdoor pool. Johnson Beach was definietly the way to go...one week pass for $8.00.
We also enjoyed the peace and quiet at the Purple Parrot. Beats staying in a high rise condo or hotel where people are up all hours of the night making noise. We will definitely recommend to our friends and will return on future vacations.

| My family recently had the opportunity to stay in this unit and had an outstanding time. We travel extensively and never had such a warm and welcoming accomodation; the unit came stocked with supplies for situations where you may have forgot to pack such items. It was a beautiful unit and had great access to the pool, which is a plus when traveling with small children. Speaking of the pool, the pool was wonderful; my children loved the waterfall. Had a great stay and plan to visit again; we highly recommend this accomodation! |
