What a beautiful cottage that far exceeded our expectations! There were so many extra things that made your cottage better than others we've stayed at. As parents of thee young boys we struggle to find extra time in our days. That's why I appreciated the paper plates & although it may seem strange I was thankful for the washer & dryer. Doing a few loads of laundry here will certainly lighten my load when I get home. Thanks to you both for your assistance with travel questions & for starting the fire for our evening of smores. God bless you both! P.S. We loved the PUR filter pitcher :)

Bev and Rick, What a wonderful week we had! Your beautiful cottage is just what we needed for a relaxing get-away. Thank you for all the unexpected "extras", expecially being so friendly and helpful in making our week so special. The kids enjoyed the large yard for throwing baseball, and we grown-ups really enjoyed the lovely porch for coffee in the morning. We look forward to many years at Elijah's cottage!

In 2008, my family decided that we would like to find a place to vacation between Michigan and NY. So I went on line and found Elijah Cottage. Well to our surprise it was perfect. The house is very quaint , cozy and a nice size for a family of 4-5. Rick, Bev and Zoey are the perfect hosts. Very warm and kind hearted people and make you feel right at home. We had bon fires everynight and sang Beatle songs. Our visit this April of 2009 was just as memorable. We have found a place that we all enjoy, our home away from home.

| We have known Bev, Rick & Amanda for 23 years. They are truly the Salt of the Earth people. They offer only Prime Accommodations. Bev is exceptional in her decorating and cleanliness, and I can say this with confidence, as they are our competitors, and I would only recommend Excellence. They are true servants of the Lord, as we. So... if you are truly looking for the best, don't go to the rest...except for the Eagle Cliff Inn, of course -Smile! Elijah’s Cottage is a real gem!
My daughters, son-in-law, and grandsons (one a toddler) just returned from a three night stay at Elijah's Cottage by the Lake. This place is newly opened and just gorgeous! From the moment we walked through the front door onto a large, screened-in front porch, we felt happy with our choice of lodging. It had a comfortable seating area, plus a table and chair set, and my grandkids were entranced by the nautical decorations. This was a perfect place for them to play safely indoors (while I sat around and read). Continuing through a lovely living room with big, cushy furniture, desk, TV, stereo, etc., full kitchen stocked with everything you would have in your cupboards at home, two bedrooms with soft queen beds, full bath with big fluffy towels and amenities, and a separate utility room with washer and dryer, laundry products, iron and ironing board, an additional roll away bed, etc. The whole house was beautifully decorated, and we did put some items out of the baby's reach, but the cottage was truly kid-friendly. There was also a back deck with propane grill, and large yard with picnic table, comfortable chairs, rocker and chaise lounges for the adults to relax while the kids ran around.
The cottage was about a two minute walk to the Strip, and five minutes to a township park with a small beach (no lifeguard), fishing area, playground, pavilions, etc. The State Park, beach, marina, restaurants, wineries, arcades, and other attractions are nearby. (Don't miss Adventure Zone if you have kids). Elijah's Cottage turned out to be a perfect location for us as it is in a residential area. My "kids" could hit all the clubs on the Strip at night (multiple bands past 2:00AM) and walk home in a few minutes. I babysat my grandsons and we weren't disturbed by all the noise that goes along with people out having fun.
The cottage itself was a steal. (The 6 1/2% sales tax and the 8% Ohio bed tax are included in the price.) We cooked breakfast, and used the grill, so the meals and activities we did out were well within our budget. (There's a Giant Eagle about ten minutes away in Geneva, and smaller groceries even closer.) Elijah's owners, Rick and Bev, were our neighbors and were terrific! They were not at all intrusive, but were helpful when asked. They even provided us with the highchair that we forgot! I hope your stay is as wonderful as ours was!

Elijah's Cottage is not subject to a 6 1/2% sales tax however, it is subject to an 8% bed tax which is included in the rent.
