We stayed at the chateau for 2 weeks with our two daughters, ages 8 months and 7 years. All of us had a wonderful time! Sally and George were impeccable hosts, working to ensure that everything was optimally accommodating for us and the girls. The house is magical; we have rented several holiday homes in France and Spain, but this is most certainly the holiday that will stand out in our memory. We'd love to come back again.

We enjoyed our stay in Sally's beautiful, spacious and welcoming home. Highlights were the big country kitchen, the beautiful vistas of gently rolling countryside, the markets filled with wonderful produce, great wine, castles on crags; and our friendly helpful hosts. Would love to visit again. |

| The above mentioned Renee Bl;anche of New Orleans, La is our daughter. We are the parents of the large group who rented Chateau Lasserre for 2 weeks in July. Everything about the chateau was wonderful. It was roomy, well furnished, situated in a lovely little circular village and had the most spectacular views of rolling hills, vineyards, other villages and the Pyranees in the distance! The owners Sally and "His Lordship" were wonderful hosts and very helpful with suggestions for touring, shopping, and more. We all hated to leave and would highly reccommend this rental to anyone, especially large family groups. |

Our family rented (ok the ancient ones paid) Chateau Lasserre for our annual family vacation for two weeks in July. Had we known that Sally and her ole' man would have become a favorite part of the stay we would have paid more and broken less. The home owners add a charming and entertaining aspect to an already delightful home and wonderful environment. Our group consisted of 15 people ranging in age from 5 years young to 80 years old and we all felt very comfortable. There is plenty of individual space and room for large gatherings, something for everyone! The property, home and village are comfortably nestled in a location that allows anyone easy access to whatever their passions desire. This area in France is wonderful!! Adding to all of that is the insightful knowledge of the home owners. Do not pass up an opportunity to enjoy this very special home with very special owners.

| We stayed here for a month and it was absolutely wonderful. The chateau was welcoming to our group of all ages. The area was beautiful and the views from the windows each morning started our day. We loved the aga, the pool, and especially our hosts. Don't miss this experience. |

This has to be the greatest vacation value in France!! Six bedrooms, plenty of bathrooms, great swimming pool, washing machine, dishwasher, an Aga stove (which none of us had seen before, and which all of us loved), fresh bread in the village and a large grocery store ten minutes away, less than 45 minutes from every place worth visiting in Languedoc, and, to our enormous surprise and gratitude, the best meals, at the best prices, we had during the whole trip. Best of all, George and Sally Crocker are delightful and knowledgeable hosts.

We came across the Chateau purely by chance whilst searching for somewhere to stay close to our uninhabitable building site of a house.
And what a find. The house is magnificent, with a real French feel to the whole interior and lovingly restored. The shutters on our very comfortable first floor ensuite bedroom opened up on our first morning to deliver a breathtaking view of snow-capped Pyrenees.
Although the wrong time of year for swimming, the pool looked inviting and big enough to do some serious lengths in.
And the village itself is picturesque with great countryside walks all around – even into the nearby Roman hill town of Fanjeaux for the more athletic.
We nearly forgot to mention the best part. The English owners. They were friendly and welcoming and immediately made us feel totally at home without being in the slightest bit intrusive.
Our advice would be to go and stay at the Chateau before everyone discovers it. We are sure you’ll have a great time.
