| My husband and I were looking for a quiet, comfortable, secluded place to relax and enjoy the beauty of the mountains together. That's what we found, and more, at Highland Meadow. We enjoyed reading on the back porch hammock, hiking and having a picnic by the creek in Bullpasture Gorge, looking at the beautiful night sky with stars so bright, and having no schedule whatsoever. It was wonderful having all the linens and paper products provided as well as fuel for the very efficient wood stove. The kitchen had everything we needed to prepare meals, although we made some food ahead of time so we could relax more. One evening we cooked chicken on the outside grill and played horseshoes meanwhile. We chose to eat suppers at the cabin and are glad we did since restaurants were quite far away. We preferred to stay in the cabin for the evenings where the wood stove made a cozy place to watch movies or read with a good cup of hot tea. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Thanks, Lindsey, for your friendliness and information about the cabin over the telephone. |

We recently enjoyed a delightful getaway at Highland Meadow Cabin. The isolation of the cabin, surrounded by a lovely meadow and woodlands, is the perfect setting for relaxation and the enjoyment of nature. The cabin itself is charming, intimate, and very efficiently designed. Wonderful kitchen! We are hikers and thus enjoyed the nearby Wildlife Management Area. A dip in the lovely Bullpasture River is a must! For a little more privacy one can hike upriver a bit from the rope swing. Bring your books, your boots, your binoculars and your need to rest and recover from the daily work grind...enjoy the evenings on the front porch and the mornings on the back porch. Pure delight. We highly recommend this cabin for anyone who enjoys escape to natural settings and simple relaxation. |

We had a very nice, relaxing stay. We went down to the Bullpasture river a couple days and walked the trail with our dogs.
Ate dinner a couple evenings at the Inn at Gristmill in Warm Springs and walked around the Homestead a bit.
Finding a restaurant in Monterey can be challenging but had some great "Fruit of the Forest" pie at the little place next to the gas station.
Saw several wild turkeys, one with babies just down the gravel road from the cabin.
The cabin itself was very nice and just the right size. Nice to have front and back porches, both of which we utilized depending on time of day.
Overall, very enjoyable, nice, quiet get-away. |

Just wanted to let you know that we had a wonderful stay at your cabin this weekend. We did some hiking (at Chimney Rocks) but mostly just relaxed on the front and back porch. Having time away from the news of the world was very welcome, but it was also nice to be able to watch some movies that we brought along. Your kitchen amenities made cooking convenient as well. We'd like very much to visit again, so will stay in touch. Much thanks! |

| We really enjoyed our stay at Highland Meadow Cabin. It really is a highland meadow. All the accomodations were very comfortable and we had everything we needed. What a great site. We also enjoyed the Sugar Maple Festival. We also enjoyed walking our Golden Retriever and the visit to Bullpasture Gorge - a must see. We would like to come back - peaceful solitude - could not have found a better place. |

| We loved the mountain view from the front porch. Great place for cocktails! We also really enjoyed dinners on the back screened porch. The swimming hole on the bullpasture river looks like a great place to fish for trout....we'll be back with our poles on the next trip. thanks! |
