We had the pleasure of spending ten days in January 2009 at Nancy and Bob's wonderful place in Bucerias. This was our second trip to Bucerias and we very much enjoyed the area and our accommodations. We had the two bedroom upstairs apartment and it was spacious, private, and had everything we could possibly need. The property is well situated close to the beach and just a few blocks from the center of town. There are wonderful restaurants within a few blocks. We went to our favorite breakfast place, Luna Luna, every morning for a leisurely brunch after a long walk on the beach. We spent many evenings watching the sunset and enjoying a drink at Karen's beach front restaurant and bar just a block away. Bucerias is the kind of town we enjoy spending time in. There is enough of the local culture to make it feel authentic and there are lots of amenities for tourists. It's so convenient, yet a little off the beaten path so you don't feel like you are in a tourist mecca like when you are in Puerto Vallarta. It's laid back and pleasant. We highly recommend Nancy and Bob's place. They are excellent hosts and will make sure you are well cared for.

We rented this beautiful property in Bucerias in Dec 2008 and enjoyed it immensely. We rented the 1 bedroom suite downstairs of the property shown here but we did view the upstairs 2-bedroom suite and it is great too.
The property is located on a great street and is one block away from the beach (a 2 min walk) -- four houses down the street, turn right and 4-5 houses down and you pop out on the beach next to Karen's restaurant. The beach is a public beach and is good (shallow for a long way out, glistens with gold specks in the morning, very long and uninterrupted to the south - perfect for long walks and runs) but not fantastic (some litter, muddy water). The owners provide an umbrella and beach chairs to take to the beach. One can get beers from Karen's restaurant close by. Note that Bucerias is a quieter town with a lot of retirees and older folks rather than young crowds.
The main house with the 1-bdrm suite downstairs and 2-bdrm suite upstairs are great, very clean, nicely furnished and have a very well equipped kitchen (although the ocean view from the upstairs bedroom is quite minimal). The living room has a TV and DVD player. The bedroom downstairs is not very bright but one doesn't feel like spending much time there anyway. A maid comes two or three times a week and cleans up beautifully. The seating areas in the courtyard and upstairs back patio are beautiful. The owners have put a lot of love into decorating the areas with statues and plants and furnishing comfortable chairs, chaise lounges and sofas. The 6ft deep pool in front of the casita is very nice for a quick splash after a hot walk in town. It is very discreetly hidden from passersby on the street with plants and statues. The murals in the courtyards and the inside of the house are very nice and give a very nice ambience. Accent lighting gives a warm glow to the entire property at night.
This property is connected to the owners's property next door. Their place is also very nice and they have a 2-bdrm suite above their living quarters (albeit not as beautiful as the one reviewed here). Their pool goes from 4ft to 6ft.
The property is very close to many good restaurants (Karen's, Sweet things, Mark's, Adriatico - 2 mins, Sandrinas, Luna Luna and Red Apple - 5 mins, downtown Bucerias restaurants - 10-15 mins - don't miss Tapas del Mundo). There is a laundromat 2 mins away and a convenience store 2 mins away on the other side. In fact, we cooked a couple of meals at home and ate breakfast at home everyday. There are buses to Puerto Vallarta to the south and La Cruz, Punta Mita and even Sayulita to the north from Bucerias from 7 am to 11 pm and seem to run every 5 mins. The bus stop is 5 mins away.
Finally, the owners Nancy and Bob are genuinely nice people who work very hard to make sure their property is top notch and that their guests are comfortable. We felt very welcome and comfortable here.
All in all, highly recommended! |

| A Lovely rental by truly gracious hosts who have been visiting Bucerias for almost 20 years and finally have purchased their "dream home." All of the pictures and descriptions are true and none are exaggerated, you will find a family type setting in a prime location in Bucerias close to restaurants in all price ranges. 3 Small grocery tiendas are within 1-2 blocks, high end restaurant (Mark's Bar) only one block in one direction and a 40 peso meal available (Jose's Place)2 blocks the other direction. Something for everyone. |

| This delightful casa far exceeded our expectations--in every way! The wonderful owners were available for our needs (questions, suggestions, whims, etc.), but were never hovering. The house has basically everything your own home does--maybe more!--and you will melt into relaxation on the patios or out at the pool. A short walk will offer you to everything you want or need: tiny grocery/convenience shops, great restaurants in all price ranges, and great shopping in all price ranges, entertainment, and - very importantly - the ocean! "Relaaaaax" is the key here. (Bring earplugs for the crazy roosters who don't know the difference between 6am and 6pm. :) ) |

Bob & Nancy really care about people, and their place reflects this in every way. To spend time there is to be truly blessed. The beautiful decorations, well stocked kitchen, and GREAT location are matched by their true spirit of hospitality shown consistently in all that they do. Thank you for being one of the best parts of our vacation. We found three local, small grocery shops within a few blocks. There are numerous dining choices, all within easy walking distance. An excellent ATV tour is available just down the street, as well as an unmatched breakfast at "Sweet Thing". There is espresso available at the cafe by the bridge to the market of crafts and souvenirs. The street itself becomes an Art Walk weekly, when artists open their doors and extend their hospitality to you. What a great place! |

| Our stay in Buceria was greatly enhanced by the hospitality and knowledge of the area that Bob and Nancy shared with us. The Casa is even better than the pictures and things are very convenient. You'll be amazed at all the things that are provided. It's a great, quaint location for shopping and eating, too. |

We enjoyed our stay in this beautiful apartment. It is decorated in a lovely Mexican style and equipped with everything needed for a relaxing vacation. The apartment has great terraces on the back and front of the unit. It has private entrance and from the front terrace you can see the ocean. The pool is delightful and the area around the house has lots to do and many places to eat if you don't want to eat in. I would highly recommend this house for your next vacation - I know I would like to return. It's better than a hotel! |

We have been visiting the Bucerias area for nearly 20 years, and purchased our vacation home nearly five years ago. This is the first season that we are offering part of it for rent. We are sure you will fall in love with the house and the area just like we did. We will be there to help you in any way we can.
