This resort is everything they say it is. Very beautiful! Jose & Myra are wonderful hosts (and Mia is very sweet!) and they are very helpful. We rented the bungalow, which was very nice - although the other accommodations are just as nice.
We did not rent a car and we were concerned about getting around. There are several restaurant choices within an easy walk. The local bus (it's actually a van) runs throughout Troncones all the way up to Majahua (the village) for a pitance. We also made our way into Zihuatanejo for a day with no problems. Even the couple that arrived with a car, chose to return it. Taxi were not problem and easy to arrange or find.
Jose was great about making recommendations for activities and meals and was very, very helpful in making sure they happened.
While the beach is very rocky and not swimmable directly in front of the resort, it is less than a 10 minute walk to Manzanillo Bay, which is a great beach to swim at. There is some great beach combing and of course I came home with a bag full of shells.
