We had a relaxing 5 day stay here in late August.
The house was very well appointed - every kitchen
item you could want, games, TV, internet. This was
one of the most relaxing vacations we've ever had -
luxury resorts included. The house and grounds
were so nice, we had to drag our kids to Yosemite
for the day! The proximity to Oakhurst was great -
we could run down for groceries, etc., quickly and
easily. We will definitely be back! |

Wonderful relaxing time. We would have done more side trips--Bass Lake, Mono Lake, more Yosemite--but the house is so great & relaxing we didn't want to leave--especially our kids. We had a really wonderful time & look forward to returning!

Your home is absolutely beautiful. We spent three
nights and were so comfortable. The pool was so
refreshing in the 95 degree August weather!
Kitchen has everything you could possibly need and
the games room is so well-stocked you would need
a week to take advantage of everything--
badminton, croquest, pool, ping pong. A really fun
vacation home and close to Yosemite's south
entrance and Bass Lake. We look forward to
returning with our extended family next year! |

What we did: Visited Mariposa Grove, Glacier Point (beautiful!). Spent half-day on a patio boat on Bass Lake trying to fish (didn't catch any). Really enjoyed the pool, spent time relaxing, played in the gameroom, watched movies, BBQed.
Favorite moments: Staying up until 1 AM to see the skunk, the 3 racoons (mom & 2 babies) and opossum come to eat the cat's food.

Our family of four, two parents, two
teenagers, plus our 10 year old dog,
spent Spring Break at this lovely home.
It was very comfortable and provided a
perfect combination of relaxing
atmosphere with things to do for teens,
especially playing badminton, pool and
ping-pong in the game room.
The home was nicely decorated and
relaxing, and we enjoyed the creek
running through the back of the
property.
I would definitely recommend this home
to others looking for a comfortable,
well-kept home with beautiful
surroundings near Yosemite. |

Favorite moments: Discovering Margarita Machine! Seeing a bear at Yosemite. We had a fantastic time. Morning Star Ranch is a great place to be, it felt like home. We enjoyed the pool & gameroom. Apart from one take-away Chinese meal, we had a BBQ every night. We had a Vons card so good discounts-just ask for one. We did not see much of Katie (the cat) but did see opposum & racoon eating (her)food.

Places I would recommend: El Cid Restaurant - Great food, friendly staff. Underground gardens of Forrestiere in Fresno - an amazing place. Sentinel Dome hike - what a view! Von's grocery store - finally, decent bread!! Favorite moments: Playing water polo in the pool, billiard table.

Bass Lake was most enjoyable. We rented a patio boat--we would pull into different coves, park & jump into the lake. We enjoyed the house very much! We stayed for a week & we can stay much longer! It allowed us to be together, chit-chat & just enjoy. The kids enjoyed the little frogs & walking down to the creek, & of course swimming every day. The house is very well maintained & we appreciated all the personal touches (i.e. western knick-knacks) You are very fortunate to have a place like this. We will definitely be back next year. Thank you for making our stay wonderful & memorable!

| We went for a winter ski vacation, and had a wonderful time. Nearby Tenaya Lodge has lots of sledding, cocoa (and it's yummy), ice skating and a really awesome lobby to relax and dry off afterward. Went to Yosemite Valley - you need chains and 4WD (which we had), so be prepared if you want to do a winter vacation. Long trip to the valley - 2 1/2 hrs. - leave early - we came right after a two foot snowfall, on top of a good foot of snow - it was fabulous. Awesome daytime weather at the house in the 50s, nights chilly in the 20s, but good heating once the heat was on. We loved the comfortable house, decorated in western motif. The couch really comfy for reading, we climbed rocks, walked about, met chickens. Didn't get to enjoy the game room (we left early each day and returned late and exhausted). Brought all our own already prepared dinners to make it easier to enjoy the day. Thanks for the comfortable bed, the great kitchen setup, and the cozy atmosphere. Hope to return again. |

The purpose of our trip was to RELAX! We traveled by car to Kings Canyon and then arrived (at Morning Star Ranch) for some comfort. We relaxed by the pool, watched movies, played badminton & pool. We took a day trip into Yosemite Valley to hike and play in the river. Our favorite moments were hanging out by the pool, floating on rafts & watching the hawks glide. We ended up staying an extra night, we loved the place so much. A great place to relax and unwind. You can do as much or as little as you like--my idea of a perfect vacation spot. We definitely plan to return!

We went to Yosemite and were not really sure what we wanted to do. We took the free shuttle around Yosemite Valley. The kids loved playing in the water around Curry Village. We also got off at stop #16 "Happy Isle/Vernal Falls" and loved playing in the (Merced) river. The house was very nice. Our kids really enjoyed playing in the pool. They went swimming every day. I loved the backyard--very relaxing and nicely landscaped. Thanks!

The place we recommend is Bass Lake. You can get a doughnut to pull from the boat. Great Fun. It is a drive to Yosemite from here so I would make the most of your day there. It is very beautiful.

| This property is so much nicer than the pictures, we loved the wonderful, comfortable feeling of the house and grounds. It was so clean and beautiful. Our family would love to repeat our visit many times. The home is located just a nice distance from Yosemite, so we were able to visit for a day and return to the house every evening. The owners were very nice and so was the pool!! We Highly recomend the Morning Star Ranch! |

We hiked a trail at Glacier Point but the best time was at the house. We even cancelled a day in Yosemite so we could enjoy the wonderful pool, ping-pong, grounds & fire pit. secluded park-like acres. Lots of birds, a lovely
creek, tall trees, partially-covered deck and a
good-sized pool. Soothing and relaxing. Close to
all needs and dining in nearby Oakhurst, and a
short drive to the south gate of Yosemite and

| Ahwahnee is a very secluded, beautiful area - what a treasured area to live in. I couldn't believe all the conveniences of home were just miles away from Morning Star Ranch. And the home was very special, it had personality and warmth to it - I could sleep like a rock there. I really enjoyed the relaxing games of pool and walking through the peaceful grounds. The pool deck area and view to the creek had a meditative atmosphere. And the drive to Yosemite was very enjoyable - the scenery is beautiful. It was an awesome visit and I hope to return some day. |

| We stayed in this house and loved it. The yard is beautiful and fairly secluded with a gorgeous creek down the hill. The house was comfortable, charming and well equipped. And the owners were wonderful to work with. I'd definitely consider staying in this place again. |
