A truly outstanding place to stay.
It lived up to our dreams in terms of the surrounding scenery, location, quality and all the amenities of the building. A unique experience. We visited for a Xmas retreat to be with family at a special time of year. As the full moon came up the coyotes sang for us. In the morning the woodpeckers could be heard in the forest. It may have been cold outside but in our log cabin we were warmed by the generous wood burning fire which incredibly heated the whole cabin completely.

| What a wonderful retreat. It's is magical. The views are spectacular and the cabin is so very cozy and warm. I did not want to leave. No phones, no tv, and quiet. Plenty of ambience set the tone for my three day visit, which was the best retreat for myself and loved one. We simply loved it! |

I highly recommend renting this cabin. It is Very quiet with a great view. The cabin is unique in every way, yet only a couple of minutes from the center of town. We simply loved our stay. No matter the weather, the views are excellent from inside or out. The bed is the most comfortable ever, with very high quality linens and pillows. (And I’m really picky on this issue.) Everything but the cabin walls and unique architectural features is new; granite kitchen, appliances, dishes, games, furniture, etc. It’s worth the stay just to experience the history of a true antique cabin, imagining all the generations that have stayed in it before. The small features make it more fun too. For example, the extra large custom dinner table is ONE solid piece of wood, 6 inches thick! (I don’t know where you find that kind of thing today. It must have been custom made or it is very old.) We highly recommend the property. The owners sincerely want everything to be perfect.

We have been looking for an authentic cabin experience for many years. This cabin has it all- great views, old world feel and all the amenities you could ask for.
We particularly liked the huge window overlooking the lake and being surrounded by nature. We would take our morning coffee out on the deck and start the day in the most peaceful, and serene place on earth.
We would highly recommend this cabin for a wonderful and restful long weekend. |

first of all...let me just say...that the pictures don't EVEN do justice for this amazing hide-away! i talked out loud to myself while walking through and then out onto the deck taking in the serene and gorgeous view of center hill lake!
i'm very aware of all the wonderful outdoor activities that are close by...but i arrived at the cabin with NO PLANS for leaving during my 3-night stay. just resting, writing and soaking up some much needed solitude.
i promised the owners that i would post a review here...and apologize that i'm late in doing so...but i can give this place my highest compliment by saying that i fell so much in love with this amazing place that i offered to buy it! and of course they don't want to sell! it is TRULY a unique home. and YES...IT DOES feel like home as soon as you walk in.
if you are an artist looking for a place to fuel your creative spirits...this is the spot!
i cannot wait to go back...i'm already trying to work out my schedule.

| Our family stayed here for a long weekend - away from NYC - and it was so serene & peaceful and relaxing. We enjoyed the rustic authenticity of the cabin yet were so pleased with all the modern ammenities! The view of the lake from every window (not too mention the wonderful deck) is spectacular - you feel like its your own & no one else is around. It was the perfect weekend away - thank you! |
