Booking the apartement with Peter was very easy because he is so friendly and available in finding the best solutions for your needs. He provides you with clear and detailed informations. The apartement is really nice and comfortable and well furnished (there were five of us and there was plenty of room), ideal for people with an artistic attitude. Needless to say that you're just in the center of Paris (Montmartre), ready to go out and sightseeing Paris. Next time we come to Paris we know where we will going to stay. | Working with Peter was easy: he was friendly and very quick to get back to us with any questions and concerns we had. The loft was equipped with plenty of food and supplies, which was helpful, and replacing them was no problem. Dealing with someone you can trust like Peter is priceless in a foreign country. The loft is close to stores, shops, and the metro. The loft was high quality in a good area to see Paris from - Thanks Peter! |

My wife and I spend a magnificent week this month in this apartment. It was really our 2nd home away from home. As a new parent we thought it maybe difficult to fined every thing we need in short term rental apartment but instead of that every we brought was already there and ready to use. I would recommend this apartment for every one want to spend a pleasure romantic stay in Paris.

We stayed in Peter's apartment the first week of July. It was spacious, bright and very clean and included all the amenities to make one's stay in Paris comfortable and memeorable. The guidebooks on Paris, including metro guides and maps were a very thoughtful gesture. Loved the adjustable bed - the extra switches near the bed to raise and lower the blinds and to turn off lights was very convenient. The kitchen and fridge were well-stocked - juice, still and sparkling water, pop, wine, champagne, coffee even martini shakers were all at hand! Other nice touches were the original art, the coffee-maker(loved it), the Bang & Olufsen music system! The bathroom was very clean - never ran out of hot water and the jets in the shower were a nice touch! The bathroom was well-stocked too, if you forgot to bring your own! The apartment was conveniently located - just a few minutes to metro - Anvers, walking distance to Montmartre and to Galleries Lafayette. Peter was especially helpful in answering any questions via email even before we began our trip. His list of restaurants with his comments was very helpful. For a quick, cheap but tasty meal, try the turkish kebab platter just nextdoor. Three thumbs up for a chic apartment with all the amenities and very conveniently located too. Would definitely recommend this place and next time, hopefully will try out the luxury loft. Great job, Peter! |

The loft was great. My wife and I visited in late June; the courtyard was under construction, so a little noisy in the morning -- but the apartment was like an oasis, still, at night. Lots of action, all night, within walking distance -- but the apartment is insulated from all that by the rest of the building and opens onto the inner courtyard. Great bakeries and fruits and vegetable grocers. Easy to walk out in the morning, down rue de Dunquerque, and grab a fresh baked croissant and a pain du chocolat to bring back to the loft for breakfast.
And easy Metro access to the whole city.
The apartment is like a ship, with space mazimized. Peter's got a great collection of jazz and Prog Rock CDs, too ... If you're planning on cooking, be aware that there's a 2-burner stove, but no oven. The bathroom is the most impressive -- all tile, and ingenious construction.
The bed is also quite cozy.
All in all, a bonus to live like locals, and not have to deal with the tourbus throngs until you darn well please.
Thanks!

| My best friend and I stayed in the Romantic apartment for 8 days and 7 nights. Even though Peter has titled it Romantic the apartment is perfect for anyone to stay in! We enjoyed "living" as a Parisian for a week and the location couldn't have been more perfect - the whole trip was fantastic! The apartment was beautiful, comfortable, and had all of the conveniences of home! Peter was a joy to deal with and handled all of our numerous questions patiently and quickly. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this apartment to anyone! |

| We found this studio spacious enough for a family of five and adequately equipped and definitely peaceful, as the advert says. We spent a lot of our time exploring Paris on foot and the situation makes this easily possible. The sofa was comfortable at the end of a long day and the shower as invigorating as you wanted to make it in the mornings - really a little home from home. Paris is a terrific city and this studio a great base to discover it from - give it a try. |

I have been remiss in adding my comments, but I wanted to right that wrong now.
Firstly, Peter is a joy to deal with, very helpful, informative and friendly, always ready with recommendations and open with his own personal information.
Secondly, the apartment, hidden behind a big blue door, is just as we had hoped: light and clean, designed simply and beautifully, and spacious yet well-appointed.
Each morning, we walked to the boulangerie and then to the cheese monger. In the afternoon we visited the wine shop down the street where we made fast friends with the proprietor. Cafe Julienne is a wonderful family bistro with the best steak tartare and a house rose that was crisp and refreshing. At night, after a day of pretending that we lived here, we would pour ourselves into the comfortable bed and dream in the rare Parisian air coming through the windows.
This is the way to do it. We'll never go back to hotels and we'll certainly be back to Peter's place. |

Super aanrader! Ik kom zeker terug! Hartelijk bedankt! Selene |

| Our family rented both the Feng-shui and the Romantic this summer for a too short vacation. They are simply and exquisitely done. Peter's flair for interiors is amazing! We've found our place in Paris. My hubby and I will absolutely be back, alone this time ... and rent the romantic. Can't wait!!! |

We enjoyed a fantastic 4 day break in Paris this April and the apartment was the icing on the cake for my partner's birthday celebration. Lovely to wake up in: the luxury of opening the automatic shutters to let in the morning light, controlling the view of the TV and adjust the tilt of bed all by the press of a button - and great to wander home to after trying out one of the many of Peter's great restaurant recommendations. Stylish, comfortable and perfectly placed - we loved being in walking distance of Montmatre. I'm sure we'll be making a return visit. |

Dear Christina, For the past 6 years my wife and I have stayed at Peter Bracke's Paris apartments, Peter has aked me to respond to your question about the location of the Romantic apartment. The #85 bus runs about every 10 minutes from nearby Av Trudane and within 10 to 15 minutes will take you to Louvre, Notre Dame, Odeon, and Luxembourg Gardens. On its return journey the #85 bus stops outside the apartment! And of course Sacre Coeur is within an easy walk from the apartment. Other locations can be reached easily by metro from Anvers or Barbes- Rouchouart. Paris is a large city and there is no one location that is convenient to all sites, Make sure you buy the 10 pack of bus/metro tickets "du carnet" and enjoy the public transport which is superb. The apartment itself is very memorable and truly luxurious as well as fitting the "Romantic" designation. By Paris standards it is large and the area is very safe with nearby supermarkets. Regards, Roger

We loved this place! What a nice spacious property. The location was great, it was close to all sorts of amenities: fresh bread every morning - just 1/2 block away, supermarkets, and metro station. Peter is great to deal with. He is honest, straight forward, and friendly. We recommend this clean and well maintained apartment to everyone. We will certainly try it again for ourselves.

Really a superb use of space in a great location that is off the beaten path but close to all the sights in Paris. This apartment is an ideal sanctuary away from the tourists in town. Peter is an outstanding host, able to provide all kinds of useful and fun information about Paris. Peter and his apartment were a large part of the reason that Paris exceeded our expectations.

Ah Paris – the City of Enchanting Paradoxes- aloof yet seductive, lively yet soothing, and inventive yet never-changing. Both the Romantic and the Luxury apartments embody the spirit of this charming city. From the warm, simplistic elegance of the décor to the artistic practicality of the kitchen, “chic comfort” best describes your surroundings. Don’t be surprised when you linger a few minutes longer in the mornings, content to make your own gourmet coffee (Star-what?!) and listen to your favorite music (a variety of CDs are available) while browsing one last time through one of the many guide books available.
Three nearby Metro stations offer major lines which make it possible to visit almost any popular site directly or with only one change of lines. Be certain to walk to Sacre Coeur by around 9 AM; you will enjoy having the view virtually for yourself and, just three minutes away, you can visit Place du Tertre while the resident artists are still setting up their easels and paints.
Also within walking distance, you may dine at an assortment of restaurants and cafes. You may also bring home fresh legumes from a marche and sinful desserts from one of the several patisseries just a minute or two away.
In other words, everything that IS Paris lies both just outside, and just inside your door.

| I sepnt eight days in Peter's apartment - three highly enjoyable days with my husband exploring Paris and five days on my own, on business. I entirely agree with the favourable comments already made about the quality, space, facilities and location. I also wanted to add that as a woman on my own, I really appreciated the safety and peacefulness of the location. Oh and I miss the Porsche coffeemaker. |

| It was our pleasure to rent Peter's loft. Our first impression was how clean and well-equipped the apartment was. The neighborhood merchants were very helpful, kind and made us feel like we were part of their world. We had so much fun actually living in Paris for 2 weeks. Our past visits to Paris we stayed at a hotel in the seventh. Staying in the loft was a much better experience. We would highly recommend renting from Peter and we have hopes of renting again in the near future. |

| Hello and I hope Peter reads this. It was my intention to write a few comments. The apartmentcertanly justified the award of merit and decor. Exceptionalgood taste and well thought out. Perhaps due to the severe heat in Paris in June, a heavier duty fan would have been nice.I hope Peter that the standard of the resorts in South Africa were up to standard. Do email me sometime especially if we can do another exchange in the future. Take care, regards Mike Hoff |

I stayed in this loft November 2002 and really enjoyed my time there. Peter, the owner, has a large collection of guidebooks and maps as well as a very eclectic collection of CDs and DVDs.
The location is wonderful, being close to 2 Metro stations and the train station. A short Metro ride and I was virtually anywhere in the city.
Montmartre is an interesting neighborhood and I loved just walking up to Sacre Coeur then back down for a wonderful Indian meal a block from the loft. |

My husband and I spent our honeymoon over Christmas and New Years at the Loft. It was just as Peter describes it to be...with lots of little extra I wasn't expecting, like a library of books, cds and dvds. And the bed is adjustable....you can move your head or feet up or down for comfort.
We had a wonderful time there. We don't speak French, and were completely able to get around the city, communicate with the loft manager, and see all the sites. The loft is right off the boulevard where the Moulin Rouge is, and in a neighboorhood full of tiny winding cobblestone streets, markets, cute cafes and lots of shopping. It is a wonderful experience, and you can get anywhere in the city from the Metro which is only 3 minutes walking away. It was nice staying outside the center of the tourist area because that area is so packed with travelers and sightseers that it can be overwhelming. Being just a little out of the way meant being able to relax and stroll the streets without a million people bumping into you. Never did I feel like I wasn't safe, either in the city or in the loft.
Peter was a very gracious host, and I would fully recommend him to anyone. He was honest and easy to do business with. I have to admit that I had doubts about spending a check to someone that I didn't know half way across the world, but Peter lived up to my every expectation. And, my experience was so good I am sure that my husband and I will be back to stay in Peter's loft again some day. |

Service : 8 Value : 10 - best Attractiveness : 10 - best Overall Rating : 9 - outstanding My husband and I stayed here for two weeks in April/May 2000 for our 25th wedding anniversary and had a wonderful time. Everything was just as nice as the web site described. We used the apartment as a home base and took six day trips by train to different regions of France. Both Gare de Nord and Gare de L'Est are within easy walking distance of the loft, as are the Anvers and Pigalle Metro stations. It was great to have a real home to come back to in the evenings instead of a hotel room. We got to know the people in the nearby shops, including the bakery, grocery, the flower shop (where my husband bought 25 beautiful roses for me), and the restaurants in the area, which were genuine and very good. In short, this was a fun way to experience Paris and a fantastic home base for travel across France.

Service : 10 - best Value : 10 - best Attractiveness : 10 - best Overall Rating : 10 - best We stayed at Peter's apartment for 2-1/2 weeks in June, 1999. We have rented in Paris many times but this is absolutely the best yet! The location is in a working neighborhood which allows you to get the feel of the real Paris yet be within walks of all the known sights. There are lots of low-key restaurants nearby where you're not treated like just another out-of-towner. It is so refreshing to step out onto "your" street and not be knocked down by hordes of tourists as happens in other areas of Paris. The wonderful food smells and music you hear also remind you you're in a real neighborhood. The apartment is sunny and private overlooking a large courtyard. Lots of nice and towels and bathrobes are also something you don't usually find in a rental apartment. The bathroom with it's "car wash" shower makes it an exceptionally special room, one you look forward to using instead of dreading the usual bathtub struggle with the "telephone" shower, wondering how not to flood the entire area! This is truly an oasis apartment in the middle of Paris. Peter is the best, too, a true gentleman and helpful host.

| This was our second stay at Peter's apartments. We have now stayed in both and it is such a fun experience. The convenience of close restaurants, shopping, metro and so much more. We also both enjoyed all of the latest technology that Peter has in both apartments. Re-entry to home is difficult when you have such a pleasant time and makes you wish for your next visit to be soon. |
