Labor day weekend 2009: WOW... what a glorious place... the photos DO NOT do Casita Barranca justice... it is beautiful... warm, inviting.... all the comforts of home with an amazing view of the ocean! Our family truly relaxed and unwound... the beach is so inviting and safe... we cooked, we had a fire on the lower deck, relaxed in the oh so comfy hammock, we danced, played smashball, laughed, and most of all we made memories we will hold dear to our hearts forever... of course we plan to come back as soon as we can! thank you Michael and Amelia, Reynaldo and Ruth! |

| This is a beautiful site...right on the ocean..just open the door and step onto the sand...then fish, read, kayak, walk, barbecue dinner and start over the next day! You can even have the housecleaner come in to make your beds! Each time we go we explore a different part of Baja Norte. Ensenada was fun this time. We walked from the center of town to the fish market where we saw the pelicans and sea lions and had lunch at the wonderful Muelle Tres restaurant, right on the waterfront. Did you know that one of the oldest jails in Mexico is here right on Avenida Gastellum? and then there is a Casino built by Al Capone (go see the museum)...and the New Art Museum is fabulous. They even have a restaurant. Quite chic. Have a fun trip! |

| The house is amazing! We stayed with 3 adults and 4 young children and had plenty of space. This is the ultimate cozy beach home with unbeatable views from every corner of the house. The weather could not have been more perfect. The hammock by the beach was was a perfect touch for a baja vacation! The caretakers were very pleasant and helpful and took care of a broken cable box immediately (though I don't think we ever turned on the tv after that). The owners were also extremely personable and helpful both on the phone and in person. FYI-we were told after our arrival that we had to supply some basics like hand soap and dish washing soap so if its not available you will need to go out shop for it later. We would absolutely recommend this home to any beach traveler for a fantastic experience!! |

Whatever you are doing, waking up in the morning, taking a shower, cooking breakfast, reading or talking in the living room, you can watch the sea. We are sure, this is the result of the tremendous effort,Amelia and Michael Kienzl have undertaken, to rebuilt and reconstruct this house of the famous physist Feynman. His everything questioning book "Surely you're joking Mr. Feynman!" in the library has surely inspired the intelligent shaping of the rooms and many details of the interior design. We enjoyed the lonesome beach, the nights full of neverseen stars, the fish market in Ensenada, the twin lobster at famous La Fontana restaurant, where the Hollywood stars in the Prohibition period celebrated their fancy parties. The sound of the tide makes you calm and happy. We are very thankful for this experience. L.A. 2/5 2009 Inge + Eckhart |

| Casita Barranca is an oasis of peace and great vibes. We spent most of our weekend there horizontal in the hammock ... that is, when we weren't cooking, riding horses and spending quiet hours reading the books of the great Richard Feynman. He should've been given a Nobel Prize for building this wonderful place. |

| We have been going to this little bit of paradise for the past 15 years. The Casita has recently been upgraded and it is a delight! Clean and beautiful. Need a bit of rest...this is the place. Days while away as you watch horses on the beach, wander along the water, watch for dolphins and whales and if you're feeling adventurous take a trip into Ensenada or the Guadalupe Valley. There's a lot to do here or just sit alone with your own thoughts. Enjoy. |

Had a wonderful time during our eight days at your vacation home. House was wonderful and so were your onsite staff. Sometimes wished the house had drapes in the living room and hallway as it gets pretty bright and hot during the day. Hope to come back soon.... Karen & Jerry |

| Wow, pretty amazing place. This trip to Mexico was the last stop on my families road trip. I had heard about some iffy things going on South of the border but my stay in this house opened my eyes to the serenity of Mexico. Kid friendly and fun for all of us. So sad i missed the wine vineyards but I will be back for my wife and I's anniversary :) |

Hello, we just wanted to say thank you for your beautiful Casita Barranca! My wife an I very much enjoyed our stay. We were very impressed at how clean you keep your place. As we try and get away as much as possible on the weekends, we have stayed in a lot of different places and we both found your home to be a cut above the rest. We highly recommend it. We also appreciated the wide variety of things to do. Next visit, I want to go flying in one of those ultra lites - that looks like great fun!!! Also the long walks on the beach at sunset were very romantic, which sure helped us re-energize after a hectic week in LA traffic.
Once again thank you!

I am so pleased with my recent stay at Casita Barranca, I just had to let everyone know! I have been recovering from breast cancer surgery and my husband suggested we take a break and do some serious relaxing. I must say our stay was simply devine. The water, sun, private beach, dining at La Fonda ( thank you for that suggestion!) it was exactly what we both needed. We will be back and I will tell all about this beautiful jem south of the border! Thanks again! |

| My husband and I feel so lucky to have found this place. We will be coming back again and again. Every area of this home has a view of the beach including the kitchen. How fun to have a view of the beach when cooking up breakfast in the morning. Except for a few homeowners enjoying the beach we felt that it was our own private beach. Our dog absolutely loved it and was able to run free without a leash. The dinner at nearby La Fonda was delicious and every table on their patio has an ocean view. Next time we hope to tour the guadalupe valley, we heard from others that the wine and restaurants in this wine area were really good. I can't believe this paraside is only 3 hours from Los Angeles. Thank you Casita Barranca for wonderful and relaxing weekend. |
