| My wife and I stayed here for a week in October 2008. It was lovely and comes with the highest recommendation. The community is quiet, yet has all necessary amenities. The location is an ideal place from which to explore Paris, yet be able to enjoy quiet at the end of the day. If you are staying in Paris, please consider staying in this apartment. |

| We just returned from a lovely stay in Carrieres-sur-Seine. Roger and Andrea's apartment was great. Perfectly situated just outside Paris. Charming and nicely appointed. Spotless clean when we arrived. We loved the excellent bus service to the RER train station and could go from the living room of the apartment to central Paris in 35 minutes! Which we did every day! The town is gorgeous, great for walking. The people were friendly and helpful. The market and nearby supermarket were within walking distance. The neighborhood is also amazingly quiet! It was a heavenly week - we only wish we could have stayed longer! |

September is a great time to visit Carriers-sur- siene! The location was perfect.....especially for the price. Everything was in great working order and the apartment was very clean and neat on our arrival. We rented a car and had no problem parking every day. We either took the car to the RER to go in to Paris or went on day trips. Because of the great location we had a head start on our day trips to Giverny, Versailles, and Rouen. Very quaint town with very friendly and helpful people! |

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in the beautiful and quaint village of Carrières-sur-Seine! Our stay was perfect. We had the peace and quiet of a lovely traditional French village but also the convenience of being so close to the center of Paris, and also Versailles. We had everything we needed in the apartment: bedroom, kitchen, private bathroom, and even our own laundry!

Just spent three weeks at Carrières sur Seine in an apartment owned by the Masons. The apartment is very charming and very convenient. Found everything we needed there. You can walk a block to the bus to take it to the RER train station into Paris very quickly. Carrières itself is a lovely small hamlet. We walked to the village market every morning for fresh croissants and coffee. They sell beautiful fruits, cheese and meats too. The people at City Hall were so helpful and the English speaking lady there was of great assistance. We also picked up a regional map and that was very helpful to us. We had a wonderful time...close to the Seine and great cafe on the Seine with good French food. I recommend this to anyone wanting to visit. Celeste Stoddard.

Our stay was really pleasant, thanks! Our favorite things were 1)the neighborhood, including ancient and Impresionist sites nearby, 2) walking distance to Franprix, modern but with plenty of French standard items (baguettes & very inexpensive brie), 3) fully functioning washer and dryer, 4) picturesque windows and views. I expected the little boy from the Red Balloon to go running by at any moment.

We returned yesterday from a very pleasant Ile-de-France vacation. Everything was OK, the apartment was nice, we did a lot of sightseeing and the weather was very nice, except one rainy day. No problems in the apartment, everything worked fine, nothing broke. Yesterday the cleaning lady came by and instructed us where to leave the key. We left 9:30 in the morning and drove back to our home in Holland, a six hour drive approximately. I pretend to recommend your apartment to some friends of mine, so maybe you'll hear from them in the future. Regards, Quirijn de Jong van Lier

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in your apartment. Everything worked well, and we enjoyed the location. Diane and I particularly enjoyed the surrounding parks and the lovely walk along the Seine. We adjusted quickly to the transportation system and enjoyed buying produce at the local market and grocery stores. Thank you for allowing us the experience of an authentic French holiday in Paris.

My grandson and I had a most wonderful time in your pretty town. The people were all most helpful and friendly. A young lady from Carrières who was going to visit her father helped us with our first time on the RER and metro. Also, all of your detailed explanations about the bus were so helpful. I love your little apartment. I could live here happily from now on.
I will recommend your lovely apartment to all my friends and I do plan to come again.
Bonne journée.

My wife and I had a most wonderful holiday at Carrières, the house and village were exazctly as you described, the laid back lifestyle and friendly attitude of the locals suited us very well, the park and riverbank with its impressionist connection was a pure joy, more than a few bottles of Merlot were enjoyed there. The integrated transport to Paris is excellent and user friendly and we met several Irish couples staying in Carrières going to work in La Defense. Thank you again. We hope to return to Carrières next year.

Our stay in Roger Mason's apartment was very enjoyable. Amenities such as a washer and dryer were most helpful. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook simple meals. The shower in the bathroom is large and supplied with plenty of piping hot water. We found several food markets close by. The town of Carrières sur Seine is quaint with plenty of old world charm. The park down the hill and accross from the Seine river is very nice. The train station is within walking distance and provided quick and reliable transportation to and from the downtown area. One aspect of our adventure we found most helpful was that Mr. mason has an extensive contact network. He has four contact people dear by to help in case of problems. We experienced no problems but it was nice to know there were peoplewe could call in the event of a difficulty. What you get in this rental for the price just can't be beat!! Michael Jordan

Our stay in Carrières was wonderful. The accomodations were more than adequate, and we enjoyed the opportunity to see much of Paris and the area around Carrières and Chatou. Thank you for allowing us this very pleasant and affordable vacation.

I get the feeling that we will simply want to spend the entire 3 weeks there! We are going to visit Normandy & Brittany the remaining 2 weeks of our stay. This is the most thorough package of information we have ever received, and we've stayed at quite a number of apartments in Europe! It is wonderful to have access to this level of detail!
We loved it in Carrières. It was perfect for us. We alternated days driving into Paris one day and exploring the village/Yvelines area the next. Did lots of walking and enjoyed the little market area. The Carrières people were very friendly--in fact we find the French very friendly and civilized. Next time we go, we certainly would love to stay at your apartment again. Thank you again for allowing us to stay.

We had a fully positive experience while staying at the apartment in Carrières for 10 days in April, 2004. It is an unbeatable value with many advantages for individuals or families visiting Paris. Public transportation to Paris from the apartment is simple to use, inexpensive and very convenient; there is no need to rent a car when staying here. The apartment is centrally located in quiet and scenic Carrières. A 5-minute walk will lead you to an open air market, a grocery store, a restaurant and other shops. A bakery around the corner has fantastic breads and pastries, and there is a small store next door do the bakery with friendly and helpful owners where you can pick up a bottle of wine or anything else you need. If you don't feel like cooking and want something quick, there is also a pizza shop just up the street by the bus stop where you can get an interesting and delicious pizza in about 5 minutes. The park across the street is a great place to relax and unwind after days of sightseeing in the city, and on the other side of the park is a peaceful walking path along the Seine. The apartment itself is well-furnished and offers much convenience for the traveler. You can pack light for your trip, because everything you need is already there. The owners of the apartment, Roger and Andrea Mason, are very courteous and professional. When we had questions about Carrières or about the apartment before our arrival, they always answered promptly and gave us all of the information we needed. After we returned home, our deposit was returned to us within one week. We highly recommend this rental.

We enjoyed our stay in Carrières very much. The family in the patisserie was very friendly and we enjoyed their products often. We liked being along the Seine and took many walks to Chatou and surroundings. The park down the street was very nice also.
Thanks again for all your help. We have many fond memories and would recommend your place for those who would like to visit Paris and enjoy the culture of a small village.

We would like to thank Roger and Andrea Mason for giving us this wonderful opportunity to discover Carrières sur Seine. It is an adorable little town in a perfect location. It has all the advantages of rural France, but it is situated only 15 minutes from the center of Paris. We thoroughly enjoyed this picturesque town with its flower-lined streets, beautiful park and serene path along the Seine. The people were so friendly and helpful, from the waiters at the Canadian restaurant to the postal employee who so patiently helped me mail a variety of postcards and packages. The neighborhood grocer even opened shop just for us!
We have stayed in many cramped hotels in Paris, so it was very refreshing to stay in this comfortable, cozy apartment where we could actually move around! Having small children, we really appreciated the full kitchen. It is often difficult for kids to sit quietly during a long meal at a French restaurant. Here we could have more relaxed family meals, as well as midnight snacks when the time change threw us for a loop! We also took advantage of the many maps and brochures that Roger keeps at the apartment to help us navigate our sightseeing tours.
We really couldn't believe how easy it was to take the train to Paris. A five-minute car ride and a short train ride and we could enjoy all the sights of Paris as well. I love the shopping area right outside the Gare de Lyon so this was an ideal location for us to get off at. We also found the train a convenient way to get to Disneyland Paris.
We had a great vacation and hope to stay at this charming apartment again sometime!
