| Jan '09 - with our 25th wedding anniversary in sight and a tough year behind us (jobs, health, funerals you name it!) we were looking for a real chance to get away from it all and spend some quality, healing time together. Wow - Exuma Blue delivered, in spades!! The description and pictures of the cottage speak for themselves, you will not be disappointed. The island itself has much to offer but in a gentle, non-intrusive, live-and-let-live way - it's easy to see how Tina and Jason fell in love with it and decided to build. Take a boat to Stocking Island and write your names on the wall in the Chat'n'Chill, then join in with feeding the tame stingrays; stop off at the "Beach Access" sign on the bend well before Tropic of Cancer on Little Exuma, you will have 1/2 mile of warm sea and white sand beach entirely to yourselves; SCUBA dive an Atlantic coral reef with the girls from Dive Exuma. Go enjoy Exuma Blue but leave your return ticket open...it's really hard to leave.... |

My Boyfriend and I have rented the cottage from January through April 2008 and we love it. The house sits up on a hill side and gives you a view of Elizabeth Harbor while you are watching TV, eating at the kitchen table, or from the Jacuzzi tub which is located in the bedroom. We spend a lot of our time on the front porch which has a swing, love seat and padded bench to lie on. There is also a propane grill on the patio to grill on if you like. The kitchen table can be easily moved outside if you like to eat outside. The home is very well furnished and
has new appliances (toaster, oven/stove, fridge, dishwasher, blender, Crockpot, egg beater, washer and drier). The AC works great but you may not need that if you come in January. There is internet at the house and satellite TV and a
phone. The house is close to George Town which is the main town on the island. You can walk there from the cottage. There is a small beach down the road from the house that you can walk to as well. I would certainly recommend this cottage for your vacation it will feel like your home away from home.
