We spent a great week in this apartment in early October while visiting our daughter who lives in Berkeley. The apartment was very comfortable (beds, living space, kitchen amenities). We didn't get to use the back yard/deck because of cooler weather and our busy schedule, but would definitely look forward to it next visit.
Diane and Lisa provided lots of useful info on the Bay area both in the apartment and in person. We really enjoyed meeting both of them.
Lastly, the neighborhood is wonderful. We loved the short walk to restaurants,shops, bakeries and morning coffee. Elmwood is a great place to stroll and window shop. |

| We have thoroughly enjoyed our two stays at Diana ans Lisa's flat. their warm hospitality makes us feel welcome and completely comfortable. Being within walking distance of shopping, BART, and entertainment is a definite plus. We are plannin g to stay there again when we visit our family in the Oakland area. |

| We had a FABULOUS stay at this wonderful home with our two kids (3 and 6 y.o.). We moved from the Bay Area to Iowa six years ago and try to get back every year or so for a long 3-4 week visit to our old stomping grounds in Berkeley/Oakland and get our daily fix of La Farine pastries. These were our best accommodations ever. The flat is very thoughtfully appointed but not fussy (i.e., we didn't have to worry about the kids breaking stuff)--and we lacked nothing! Diane and Lisa were friendly, easy-going, accommodating, responsive and made us feel right at home. This is definitely our TOP CHOICE for future visits! |

We had a great stay with our girls at the Colby
Street flat! Not knowing the area in advance, I was
trusting that the "best neighborhood" comment
would be true for us -- and it was. We could walk
to the great shops, grocery stores, and little
restaurants on College Avenue, and especially
enjoyed our morning walks to Cole Coffee and
LaFarine. Needing to get into San Francisco often,
we could walk or drive and easily park at the
Rockridge BART station. The back garden was most
relaxing. We stayed for three weeks and wish it
could have been longer. Loved the East Bay
weather, warm sun, cool nights, and very few bugs.
Diane and Lisa could not have been more pleasant,
welcoming or accommodating to us. Not only did
we have a wonderful stay, we made new friends
along the way. |

| We stayed with our two childen (2y & 4y) in this flat. We had breakfast in the back garden eyery morning and enjoyed the stay. It was a relaxing atmosphere at this place and in Berkeley so we extended our stay there. We can recommend the flat and the hosts. |

We couldn't have been more pleased. The house,
the location and the owners were all terrific. Before
stumbling upon this property, we had hotel
reservations. Thank goodness we cancelled those
and opted for Diane and Lisa's flat. We were in
town for our daughter's wedding, and the
convenience of having the flat and its facilities
made the preparations much, much easier. |

| Our one week stay was all we hoped it would be. We have stayed in many apartments in many countries, but this one had everything we wanted, including wonderful bikes and even a bike rack, all of which we used. Diane and Lisa were so friendly and helpful. We are now looking for excuses to have to be in Berkeley again. |

| We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The location for visiting our daughter was perfect and we loved the house. We felt very much at home, could make our meals and relax in a wonderful setting. All essential amenities were provided including a nice backyard porch and bikes. We'd love to come back. |

This was the perfect place for us - just around the corner from my son's, his wife's and our grandchildren's house! We loved being there and enjoyed meeting very hospitable Diane and Lisa! The house had everything we needed and more! My only problem with writing this raving review is that I'm worried that too many other people will want to rent it when we would want to rent it again!! The three weeks we were there were wonderful (and we agree with all the other positive comments that have been made before us)!

My husband and I have stayed in many VRBO lodgings, and nearly always have a great experience. This home is one of the very best. I'm a tiny bit hesitant to leave a recommendation here, for fear the word will get out and it won't be available when we want it; we hope to rent it again and again!
We especially like that it is absolutely immaculate, well appointed(we had a birthday dinner buffet for our 21 year old daughter and 10 of her friends), and within walking distance to some of our favorite Berkeley shopping and dining spots. It's perfect! |

| This is a perfect home away from home for visiting family. The home is level in (just a few steps), centrally located, completely charming, well maintained and very clean. The owners are simply wonderful. My parents and 2 brothers stayed over the holidays and it was perfect for 3-4 people. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a place for family outside the very limited hotels in the area. Much much more comfortable. |

We also loved Rockridge and have quite fallen in love with the place. It is such a vibrant neighbourhood, the people are friendly and there's a lot to do without even going into San Francisco.

My boyfriend and I stayed here and found it cozy, comfy and quite nice. Lisa and Diane, the proprietors, are very attentive, and it was more like staying in a hotel than a vacation rental. They even had a goody basket for us with coffee, chocolate, etc.
A great location in the Bay Area -- central to everything!

| This was a great little house - perfect for Berkeley and SFO outings. Walking distance to great restaurants. Seven of us shared the house with plenty of room for everyone. Very quiet at night. Very good value vacation rental. |

This is the perfect location to visit the sites of No. California. Close to San Francisco, Napa Valley, the beaches, Bodega Bay, etc. Can't recommend highly enough. |
