This will be one of the most unforgettable trips we
have ever made. Not only did we experience the
magic and splendor Lake Atitlan has to offer, but
the whole experience was completed with our stay
at this magnificent property.
Tranquility in luxury comes to mind. We enjoyed
everything the house has to offer, from its gourmet
kitchen to its minimalist and beautifully done
interiors, but also were in constant awe of the ever
changing spectacular views from every room. Every
morning we would step right out our front door
facing the stunning view of the volcanoes and do
yoga, taking in the crisp and fresh air in the
tranquility of the verdant grounds. We are already
making plans for our next trip and will definitely
stay here again. This place is magical! |

For the last 15 years, we have rented vacation homes around the world and many have turned out to be real finds. Until recently, there were a number that were tied for “most beautiful.” But that was before we stayed at Dita and Michael’s “Casa Miguel.” This stunning contemporary home has large, light-filled rooms with soaring ceilings and white walls -- perfect for displaying their folk art and other treasured pieces. The views from each room, including the upstairs bathroom, are spectacular. Casa Miguel’s setting on the edge of Lake Atitlan, across from three volcanoes, is unmatched, and the grounds are pure pleasure with landscaped tiers rising up the hill to the road. We spent our days reading, gazing at the views, exploring the nearby towns and markets, swimming in the lake -- with some wine drinking and a sauna or two thrown in (Thank you, Max). We have only one reservation in strongly recommending this house -- the fear that it will be booked when we want to return.

My husband, daughter and I stayed in this house
last summer and it was one of the most beautiful
places I've ever been. The house is fully
modernized and equipped with anything you'll
need. It has spectacular views of the lake from all
windows, a beautiful garden and private swimming
area. It's a magical place that you'll never forget. |
