Hi Eileen,
I realize we were in such a rush when leaving this past Sunday I didn't have time to sign the guestbook.
Just wanted you to know that everything was impeccable during our stay at the Yacht Harbor Beach Cottage. The house is welcoming, cozy and fully equipped. The outdoor space is perfect; it was so nice to sit outside and relax. We were fortunate and had great weather the entire weekend. The landscaping and decor are very, very pretty. My glamorous dog felt right at home. I think she's disappointed in our apartment now.
I don't know how VRBO reviews work, but please feel free to post my comments or forward them if you like.

We walked to the nearby beach and the kids played in the sand and waves. We had dinner at Cafe Lucio. We drove to Monterey and visited the Aquarium.
We drove to the Roaring Camp RR and took a train ride through the large Redwoods. That was a super experience for all of us. The kids loved it!
We ate dinner in Capitola at Paradise Beach and looked for shells.
The house was clean and nicely decorated. We really enjoyed our stay.

Walked to the Beach Sunday evening, made a pizza, wathed a movie, enjoyed the hot tub with champagne. Woke up late Monday morning, drove to the Boardwalk, bowled 2 games, had lunch at the beach (people watched), massages in Aptos, dinner at the ShadowBrook, watched another movie, talked about our wedding day (we got married on the 4th in Sacramento). First of all we loved coming into this sweet little cottage home, so clean and well decorated. The flowers on the dining table were a welcoming treat. The yard was beautiful-well maintained and in full bloom. Though it was raining at times, it cleared occassionally and awe enjoyed an outdoor dinner with our son who is attending UCSC with steaks off the BBQ grill. We went to the beach, the Boardwalk and rides, miniture golfed, ate out one time each day, shopped at the Capitola Mall and Pacific Avenue. We enjoyed the hot tub, played games, read in bed and the many TV's allowed our 2 girls to watch what they wanted when we wanted to watch something else. The harbor was fun to watch and we ate at the Crow's Nest, slept well, relaxed, enjoyed the area and our family. Hope you have fun and happy memoires too!

We had such a fabulous time and the weather was perfect! We will be back. Fun things we did: Santa Cruz Boardwalk, Lazar Tag, what a blast!, Shopping at Capitola Mall with the girls while the boys bowled and played in the arcade. Had toe rings fitted, to all of us. What a magical little house and neighborhood - Favorites of the house. The kitchen nook, the sumptious comfy beds, the gorgeous light that flows into the beautiful living room and of course the loveley hot tub. We had our eighty three year old grandmother with us and celebrated a wonderful Christmas with her and my brothers family who live here in Santa Cruz. It was just a perfect holiday. Fun Things We Did: Plotted how we could move in forever.... We enjoyed relaxing in the spa, walking to the beach and around the neighborhood with our dog, Arbor. The location is ideal. We loved the fact that we could walk to breakfast at Aldo's, dinner at Johnny's Harborside and the Crows Nest. We love walking around downtown Santa Cruz and Capitola. Santa Cruz is home to my wife and this place provided for the full Santa Cruz experience. It is a short, five minute walk from the beach, and a five minute drive from the boardwalk. It is also within walking distance of some of our favorite Santa Cruz eating places (Sea Breeze, The Creperie, etc.). Comments from our onsite guest book.
