April 4-11, we rented this, plus two other condos for a vacation with 7 adults and one baby. This condo was the main gathering area for mornings and evenings. Perfectly sized balcony gave us plenty of room for relaxing. Juliet could not have been any more accommodating. She kept in touch during the months prior to our visit and even arranged for baby accessories during our trip. (High Chair, Pac-N-Play and stroller) And, The views were wonderful.

We ate at Fungi's almost every night. Big Wheel was our favorite staff member.

Morningstar cruise is a must see. It was a very relaxing day. Snorkeled at Honeymoon beach, St. John. It was amazing!

We went into Charlotte Amalie to shop twice, neither time went very well. The first time, there were no cruise ships, everything had closed early.. The second time was Good Friday, so again, closed early. We ended up getting dinner at the Shipwreck. The food was quite good. We were lucky enough to catch 'half price steak' night.

Discover Scuba with Toby at Coki Beach, and another dive with St. John Dive Club. The shipwreck was fun, and we saw turtles and stingray at Turtle Bay.

Thanks again to Juliet (condo local manager) Hope to vacation with you again next year!

After much planning and anticipation we finally arrived at Point Pleasant. The condo was just as described and neat and clean. Juliet was very friendly and even called to make sure we got in okay on our first night. It was in great location on the East End which is very close to Red Hook where alot of the nightlife takes place. The resort was well kept and we did not have any problems there. You should defiently rent a car as the resort is pretty far from the airport and the taxi for two people is $30. The condo had a grill, snorkel gear, cooler and beach towels all came in good use. Make sure to take a boat tour to St. John for snorkeling, stingrays, barracudas, lots of fish to marvel at. Try Smith Bay Beach, left out of resort past Wyndam then take left down dirt road. I though this beach was not crowded and the water was very clear. Warning : food prices are super high so only buy what you are going to eat, you may even lose weight while on vacation. Overall i loved the place and will defiently want to come back. Get out in the car and explore the island it is easy to navigate once you know the main roads, 30,35,40,42, these will take you around the whole island so it is pretty hard to get lost. Thanks hope this helps. Best beaches : Smith bay, Lindquist, Sugar beach has some snorkeling, Coki beach great spot to hang listen to music have a beer and swin and snorkel. On st. John, Trunk bay, Honeymoon beach you've got to go there.

Our stay was from January 23-2 8, 2008 (Part 2 of 2).

In Red Hook, it was a blessing that Marina Market was so conveniently located.
We stopped there three times - especially for the fresh fruit and snacks. The
East End Italian restaurant was great for lunch and dinner (watch out for the
dinner prices). The staff there was friendly. Duffy's Love Shack (located in a
parking lot) was fun and lively, with both locals and tourists. Please dance
with the old-timer that frequents the bar - he is harmless and is just there to
have fun. The Caribbean Bar across the street (up the stairs, on the corner,
next to the marina, just in case I got the name wrong) is a sports bar with good
food and friendly bartenders.

Shopping at Charlotte Amalie (Havensight) is a must-do tourist thing. This is
the place to get your obligatory t-shirts, trinkets, rum cakes, and the like.
Also, buy yourself some Sheridan's and Cruzan Rum Cream.

Check out Jimmy Buffham Tattoos, on t he main drag (highway 30), to the left of
Hooters and the Tram, up the stairs and in the back. The folks there were
professional, very artistic, and the equipment was sterile (if that is your cup
of tea).

Going to the top of the tram for sunset and the ships sailing out was an amazing
sight. Make time on your trip to do this.

On our last day, overlooking the water, we were trying to rationalize not
leaving, but our kids made us come back home. We did manage to lollygag around
enough to miss our flight. Luckily – or unluckily – there was another
flight an hour later. When the ticket counter woman told us that we would not
be getting on our flight, ideas swirled around in our heads that we were going
to have to “sufferâ€쳌 and stay another night at the condo (twist our arms!).
Then they told us about the 2nd flight – very depressing.

One more thing… when you rent your car, do NOT go with Thrifty. Thrifty shut down operations with no notice before our flight arrived, and with no
alternative means of transportation. The Budget folks were very accommodating,
and resolved our situation in a reasonable amount of time. Secondly, get
yourself a Jeep. The drive through the mountains is challenging enough (yet
very breathtaking) – especially driving on the left side – but some of the
hairpin turns… bottom line, you’ll want the Jeep.

Finally, we got to meet Bernadette on our last day – a very lovely and kind
woman, not to mention funny.

Feel free to contact us with any questions regarding staying at Point Pleasant
or on St. Thomas. We will be moving there once our littlest one starts college.
Who knows? The timing of our move might be right where we can buy this condo.
