Our stay at The Firehouse was very enjoyable, comfortable and convenient. The historic firehouse is close to all the DC attractions and is full of character. It is now a home, with a large guest room and private bath, a working art studio downstairs and a showcase of original art works upstairs. Our host makes it his priority to give his guests loads of privacy. We felt right at home sharing the house kitchen. The local neighborhoods were an easy walk for groceries and dinner out. The Firehouse was a great place to call home while in DC. Thanks again Craig.

| We thoroughly enjoyed our week's stay in this delightful restored fire house, and look forward to future stays there. The artist/owner is very affable and accommodating (and does fantastic work, some remarkable pieces of which are displayed in the living area on the second floor). The neighborhood is wonderful,at the edge of the historic Shaw District and only about 3 blocks from Howard U., and ideally located, a block-and-a-half from a Metro station. We came and went with ease at all hours with no problems. We loved it!! |

What a fun experience! My friend and I are "Seniors" and have loved staying here for 13 days. This NW neighborhood is safe, and only 1 1/2 blocks to the Metro. After a long day of shopping or sightseeing, it has been great to get comfy and relax in the spacious living area while visiting with the resident owner, who has a very easy-going personality. His wonderful artwork is displayed throughout the upper level. We will definitely stay here again when we re-visit our nation's Capital city! Helen from Tucson, AZ Mauryne from San Francisco, CA |
