Dear Catherine Would just like to let you know that we had a fabulous time in Paris last week in your apartment and can thoroughly recommend it. The position was very central to everything and the Metro within close proximity to the apartment as you said. The view of the Eiffel tower from the apartment window was lovely especially at midnight when it sparkled. We managed to see all the great places of interest the Louvre,Effiel Tower, Acr De triumph ,Versaille and a lovely village called Verdun, and many more. Once again thank you for all your help and information prior to our vist and hopefully will vist again in the not too distant future. Best wishes Margaret & Keith and family

"Amazing view and perfect location"
"Our family of 4 was thrilled with our stay at the apartment. The view was spectacular (Seine, Seine Boat Basin, Pantheon, Notre Dame and the Eiffel Tower), and we raced home every night to catch the hourly sparkling lights on the Eiffel Tower. Two Metro stations are within a five minute walk, as is the train to Versaille, but our favorite activity was riding the Velib rental bikes along the banks of the Seine--a five minute ride from the house. The apartment is clean, well-stocked and organized, and the beds are extremely comfortable. The bedrooms are VERY quiet, which is much appreciated after a busy day of sight-seeing. Their are many cafes and restaurants in the neighborhood, and we especially enjoyed walking in the Marais and buying groceries at the local street market. The elevator is small, but it's part of the charm of the beautiful, old building. We would definitely consider renting this apartment again."

The apartment was large and very clean. The beds were very comfortable. And everything we could think of was there for us. They don't mention that they also provide towels, robes, toiletries, and slippers. It was great to have a washing machine so we could bring fewer clothes too (although it took a bit of finagling to figure out how to use it in French). The internet worked well (except for one night). They just put in air conditioners which did come in handy one night. (May 2009)

The apartment is perfect for a family, with every comfort and the bonus of a lovely eiffel tower view. Nicely located on the port d/ arsenal you overlook the marina -but are in walking distance to bastille, le marais and the jardin des plantes. The owner lives downstairs in the same building and is very helpful. Internet access also a big plus for everyone.(May 2009)

Our stay in Paris (too short!) We stayed at this lovely apartment for 5 nights. We chose this due to the view and a good location for the price. We'd never been to Paris before, so we weren't sure what to expect. Luckily, the apartment was just as described, or actually it was better. Location-once I got the lay of the land, and figured out how to use the Metro, it was easy easy to get around. Although there is a Metro station right across the street, we found that walking to the Bastille station was better since it had more lines. There are some cafe's and shops around although it was more of a residential area. The view was beautiful, every night we watched the Eiffel tower light up. The apartment had big windows you could open for air, however, we did hear the Metro and traffic quite a bit. But we got used to it right away. Prudence NJ ( May 2009)

Located at junction of Seine and Canal St Martin with views across to Notre Dame, Eifel Tower, Montparnasse Tower, Pantheon from the main room, and views from the bedrooms across the roof tops to Gare de Lyon. Situated on the top (6th) floor of an elegant apartment block which has a two person lift to all floors. The property is comfortably furnished and can accommodate six people by converting the settee into a double bed. We were a family of four with two girls of 12 and 14 sharing the second bedroom and found everything we needed for an enjoyable stay. The apartment was very clean and tidy and provided with fresh flowers upon arrival. Catherine met us at the door and showed us around and explained how to operate the appliances and how the recycling system works. Catherine and all of the other people in the block that we met were polite and friendly. The kitchen is well provided with appliances, but the oven is part of a multi-function microwave and too small to contemplate any real cooking - but this is Paris, and there are plenty restaurants within a few minutes walk. Recycling is taken seriously in Paris and there is good provision for separating glass, paper, plastics, tins, from waste - in addition there is a compost bin so there is little excuse for not joining in and doing your bit to help the planet. The use of a broadband internet connection allowing us to stay in touch via e-mail and MSN was excellent. Watching the Eifel Tower sparkle for a few minutes every hour while sitting in your own living room is a memory we will keep with us for some time. Out and about, we'd recommend the Musee de la Orangerie and the Pompidou Centre for a wide spectrum of art. The Jardin des Plantes just across the river for the cherry blossom and other flowers - plus the Menagerie for an eclectic mix of zoo animals of which the red pandas and the orang utans were our favourites. With the metro (Quai de la Rapee) at the end of the road you have access to all areas of Paris within a few minutes, but we enjoyed just walking along to the islands in the Seine and soaking up the Parisian atmosphere from one of the cafes or a park bench near the Notre Dame. We look forward to returning to Paris in due course and we'd recommend Catherine's apartment as a super centre for your stay.

The apartment was perfect for our needs- fantastic location, really just steps away from the metro; so clean and functional; lots of great books and videos for our young kids that we used almost daily; the shopping cart was so helpful for our trip to the Bastille Market and your maps of the bakery and grocery stores were great! We loved your big dining table with the spectacular view of the Eiffel Tower. Also, working with you has been a pleasure- you have always been so quick in responding.

We have been to Paris several times but this was the first time we have stayed in an apartment as we now have a baby daughter - we couldn't have chosen better. A wonderful place to stay Date of Stay: Oct 2007 We only stayed at this apartment for 4 nights because of work obligations, but I can truly say that if I could have, I would have stayed for weeks, months, or even years. We travel a lot and like to stay at apts. instead of hotels and this is certainly one of the best I've been in. It's large, impeccably clean, has all the amenities/conveniences you could as for (washer, dryer, more pots & pans than we have at home, closet space, tons of books & videos in differnt languages and even a new, flat-screen TV!!!), modern but in an old, beautiful building, and in a perfect location. There's lots to see & do in walking distance plus the metro and boat lines are just minutes away. We got tickets to use the boat for 2 days. It does a circular route with stops at all the important, central neighborhoods and sights and is much nicer than being underground. Being on the top floor, it is quiet. And the view is spectacular. Catherine, the owner, is extremely helpful and knowledgeable. When you get there she gives you a map of the entire neighborhood and points out all the grocery stores plus givs you a list of many different types of restaurants in all price ranges. All the ones we went to were very good to excellent. I would sincerely recommend this apartment to anyone (did I mentions it's very kid-friendly) and plan on staying there the next time I visit Paris.

The four of us feel very lucky for spending a week in each of your properties. The Paris apartment is so comfortable and well located, with a wonderful view, absolutely full-equipped, every moment I feeled almost at home, moreover we had a super-efficient Catherine living beside who was extremely kind and patient helping every time we needed, including attending international phone calls in the middle of the night. Best regards, Rosario, (Santiago, Chile) June 2007)

Dear Catherine: We are back in Northern California after a wonderful visit to Paris and Provence. I just wanted to thank you again for your hospitality during our stay in your lovely flat. It is a terrific location and we really enjoyed being able to stay in a Paris neighborhood. We loved being able to walk to so many wonderful places from the flat and we enjoyed watching the Eiffel Tower sparkle at night. I hope our paths cross again sometime. I wanted to thank you for your wonderful apartment and the incredible service you offer. There is not one thing that we can think of that we needed there and could not find. We both feel that the highlight of our whole overseas trip was walking into the apartment and realising that it was even better than we had expected. For us, sitting at the dinner table and watching the Eiffel Tower sparkling was unforgettable. For all international travellers to Paris a view of the tower from your accommodation is the most valued view, but from your apartment it is only one of the many famous landmarks we could see.We will know very shortly the dates we will be in Paris in 2007 so I will contact you as soon as possible to make a booking. Once again thank you, Heather, Australia.(Spring 2006)

We all enjoyed our holiday in Paris tremendously. There were many reasons for the success of our holiday but one of them was surely the comfort, pleasure and convenience of your flat. The holiday in Paris was a wonderful time for us – it set a very high standard for future holidays that will be hard to beat. Once again thank you very much.Best wishes to you and your family, Peter, Mira, Mica and Keren (Sydney, November 2006)
