We stayed in the upper floor/back unit (this is a four plex) #1768 in July 08 and found it to be very suitable for our needs. It is located just a couple blocks off Hollywood Blvd, about a 1/3 mile walk from the Chinese theater, an easy walk that is lined with the stars of The Walk of Fame. With off street parking included, close to freeway on/off ramps, and centrally located to 90% of what you want to see/do in the Hollywood/Burbank area I can recommend this modest apartment. We found our unit roomy and quiet at night. It only has a shower in the bathroom and 1960's construction, but it is clean and functional and a good value considering its privacy, location and the prices of hotels in the area. There is some riff raff and pan handling that occurs on Hollywood Blvd, but we were out several nights around midnight and never felt unsafe nor were confronted by roughians. There is a grocery on Franklin St. a couple blocks away and a modest supply of cooking tools in the unit.
