| We visited Tatonka Lodge for a long weekend in December with two other families. We all took our kids to ride the Polar Express (on the Smoky Mtn. Railroad) which was about 40 minutes away. The rest of the weekend, we didn't even want to leave the home. It was beautifully decorated for Christmas...when we entered the lodge for the first time, my breath was taken away. The hosts greeted us upon arrival and were available for anything we needed. We had an excellent short vacation and would highly recommend Tatonka Lodge for others to visit as well!! |

Hi Cheryl! We really had a wonderful time at Tatonka! We just can't get over how beautiful everything was. I keep telling everyone about the furniture, stairs, railings, floors, decor................I could go on and on! we will forever compare vacation homes to Tatonka There was plenty of room for everyone and even the walk up was not horrible. My son in law, who doesn't like mountain driving was even making it up to the top, the last few days. Mr. Ferguson, from the Trout Pond and General Store took them up to the top of his mountain and also the logging area so he got to some really steep places. We're all playing the lottery in hopes of moving up there. Everyone was so nice and we saw so many things we would never get to see here. We didn't get to eat the Buffalo Burgers until we got home...........We bought too much food the first day and had to throw so much out. We did try them once we got back and my husband loved them, I was not as enthusiastic as he but I ate it. It was kind of strong tasting for me, but I'm not really a meat lover. He cooked another with some spices added but he said he enjoyed the natural one better. My grandsons loved everything and can't wait to come back...seeing all the animals and being able to touch the goats and horses really impressed them. And of course they loved the playground and walking the hills with walking sticks.

We had a WONDERFUL time at your cabin! It was sooo beautiful... the little details everywhere and handmade beds and light fixture over the stairs! WOW. And thank you so much for the welcome back cake and balloons. Dave was thrilled and he loved the ice cream cake...his favorite. Your parents were so nice as well. I was so happy to get the fresh eggs from them, it reminded me of when I use to have chickens and collected the eggs. You just can't beat the taste of fresh eggs.
The highlights of the trip were the playground (kids went nuts), the jacuzzi (adults stayed up until the wee hours of the night in that thing), and catching HUGE trout at Ferguson's pond!

| We had a great time and the house was totally incredibile. We had plans to go out and do other things but the house was so nice we didnt even leave. We even cooked all our meals there and that was great. We look forward to staying again. Thanks for a great get away. Blythewood Heating A/C & Refrigeration. |

| We thoroughly enjoyed the cabin. It was a very relaxing vacation. The cabin had everything you could ask for from the variety of games in the game room to the outdoor hot tub. I would highly recommend the cabin. The cabin is convenient to many area attractions and towns. We look forward to our next vacation at Tatonka Lodge. |

We had the most wonderful time ever! We love it here. The cabin was & is well equipped for all kinds of family filled fun. I left some extras, a book about your wonderful state, 2 plastic tea pitchers...please enjoy the icecream in freezer--never opened. But anyway, we just loved your mom & dad. Tatonka Lodge was the perfect place to celebrate my special birthday with our 4 daughters, their husbands & 4 grandchildren. We loved the atmosphere of the lodge with all buffalo decor. The gameroom was FANTASTIC, the hot tub was TERRFIC with a great view!! We enjoyed the wonderful playground. Thanks for a fun weekend hopefully we can come back some day. P.S. Another big surprise was the unexpected visit frommy brother & his wife on their trip from FL. back to their Wisconsin home. We enjoyed the heated tile floors, the wonderful fireplace (thanks for teh wood supply), the well stocked kitchen, watching the buffalo/we could go on & on...enjoyed the pictures in the 2 master bedrooms as well!

We had so much fun on this vacation. We even went rock climbing! It was somuch fun. It's sad to leave. I wish I could live here with the pool & foosball tables & ping pong, hot tub & jacuzzis. The playground was so much fun!

OMG! This was one of the best spring break vacations! I LOVED playing foosball, & pool. Everyone loved the view: it was spectacular. We hiked some of the trails, especially th eone that leads to the playgrounds...the playground was AWESOME!! it was so cool. When there ar e9 very bored childre, playgrounds are wonderful. So, were the horses, they were pretty. One of the most interesting things about th cabin was the hill leading up to it (haha), it seems like a rollercoaster in a 12 passenger van! Thank you

| This cabin is absolutely amazing! The rocky, steep incline to the cabin is a little difficult to overcome, but it is well worth it once you see the gorgeous view and private location. The pictures don't begin to describe the features - the house along with the majority of the furniture was hand-made by the owners, which made me appreciate my stay even more. Between the game room, hot tub, animals, and trails, there is more than enough to keep you busy without even leaving the comfort of the cabin. Located between Waynesville and Maggie Valley, it is only a short drive to nearby towns. There is also a great place to go horseback riding which is very close to the cabin (Panther Creek Outfitters). I highly recommend this place and even plan on going back next year! |

This cabin was awesome!!! We had so much fun- our plans were to go skiing
but the rain stopped that, we enjoyed spending time together in the cabin, plenty to do!! And when we got our car
stuck the guys were more than happy to help us out. Very grateful!!! Would love to come back and probably will soon!! |

Totonka Lodge was absolutely beautiful. It was perfect for our family and several of our friends. There was plenty to keep the adults and kids entertained. We spent most of our time in the gameroom. The kitchen was well stocked and the cabin was decorated beautifully. We look forward to visiting again.

| The Tatonka Lodge was great - we had a wonderful time. We stayed there with 2 other families and it was perfect for all of us. Plenty of games for the kids! The hot tub was great! Lots to do in Maggie Valley and the Cataloochee ski area too. |

What an incredible New Years Eve 2007 was spent in Tatonka Lodge! The entire family was here, everbody enjoyed the game room with a roaring fire and the lodge was just so comfortable for all.
It is highly recommended to check out this family retreat to enjoy a getaway to solitude while being close to quaint Waynesville and Maggie Valley. |
